Dreamer hadn't expected to know anyone, her research had proven so and she'd decided to be at least sociable and meet fellow... well whatever she was going to be meeting in there. She had, gotten to the manor gates just in time to see a green skeined man, a flower proto by his side and then a couple. Her mind wondered on trying to figure out whom these people were, they weren't high class, that was for certain or else she'd know them. She'd almost forgotten she was beside Banning, her attention diverted towards the little group of people. Maybe I'll be extra nice today, just to meet them. She though, a smile slowly posing itself onto her lips. From this point on, everything would go smoothly. Dreamer didn't have to plan for anything, much less think about anything else then what to bring up for small conversation starters. Easy enough. She though amused before grabbing a bit of her dress and about to move on. Like Banning said, it was best not to linger and let a group of people form up and clutter the entrance. Especially with the large variety of people going to his place. But then she froze in the middle of taking a step, and blinked.
Trystan.
Her sense of smell had never failed her, that same deathly smell Trystan's being held wafted over to her and, she slowly turned her head. Oh my god, is he seriously here? Initially, that wasn't her first thought. Dreamer had of course looked at what he was wearing, and quirked her brow. Daaammmnnn. The man looked devilishly handsome in that suit. If she wasn't so intent on hating him she might have at least said a hello, but things hadn't exactly gone well the first time she'd seen him, and she doubted this time would be any different. Dreamer's eyes traveled to the proto on his shoulder, knowing Trystan that proto could only be a combat one. Why Banning would handed a spark over to someone as crazy as Trystan was beyond her, but it was... useful? For his line of work anyways. Grabbing a part of her dress, she gave him a daggered look before turning a cold shoulder on him and walking past Banning. Of all things that could have happened to her tonight, that man showing up was the worst. She could handle a glass of wine falling on her dress, she could handle that dog she'd seen earlier slobber a little on her, but seeing him was just a mood ruiner. With a slightly sour expression, she walked forth towards the manor doors, only to be taken by surprise and then aside by a staff member.

"It looks really good!" Shade imagine that it had taken a fair amount of time to make the outfit and the impling meant it when he said that it looked good. He wasn't great with fashion but he doubted that anyone would disagree with him on the fact this time. Verdant really did look great.
The teen felt the skin beneath his fur flush with embarrassment at the compliment and he scratched the back of his head. "You...think so?" His ears flicked and he nodded as Verdant suggested they actually go INSIDE, following after the older male. He was probably right about it being rude and he doubted Banning wanted them his guests conversing outside like this. "Right." Here was to hoping that the whole thing would go well - the last 'social event' that Shade had been to had been a birthday party.
He REALLY needed to get outside more.

Taking the blunt hint from Mr.Banning, Dorian nodded and continued towards the house, ushering little Claudia away from Aoi, no matter how fascinated she was with it. Claudia often wondered, and quite frankly asked Dorian, what it was like to really be alive, and these Essentics fascinated her to no end. Would she get a real AI personality drive like them? She knew she couldn't logically become one of them, but she did envy them to an extent, much like a regular child envying another child that has a pretty toy. She wanted that pretty toy, but that was as far as her mimicing program would go. REAL wants and desires would only come when Dorian gave her an AI system that could think on its own, one with an eternity code.
"Come along, pet. Let's go see what trouble we can cause, hm?" he purred affetionately, petting her golden curls as she smiled with pleasure and obediently followed. She'd do anything for a bit of recognition. Even when Dorian called her the 'family toaster' she knew he didn't mean it in a resentful way like he used to. When Marianna, 'Mama', had first died he'd almost hated Claudia and despised her calling him 'Papa', claiming she was 'nothing more than a simple house appliance'. Now he meant it in a loving way. Despite Dorian ushering her on, Claudia looked back at all the guests, mentally catalogging and storing their faces, the faces of their Eccentics, and any other interesting facts about them in her MSC (mental storage capacitor). Dorian would then access it later and put it into their supercomputer at home for documentation. Anything to please Papa.
Dorian, on the other hand, had his mind on the party more than buisness and his whereabouts. It wasn't that he didn't particularly care, he did. He was just more here for the fun of it. He hadn't been with regular people for a looooong time now, since he'd been experimenting in the lab and remanufacturing a blood plasma that he would test and install in Claudia in the morning. She'd be on bedrest for about a week before the total transfusion was made and she could circulate the blood substitute efficiently. He wanted to have fun with her before they had to get back to work. He smiled as they passed a man and his dog, apparently called Kell from overhearing the conversation, and he wondered if Claudia was as interested in Kell as she was in Aoi. Maybe he could make her a dog after he installed an AI system into her? Ah well, there he was thinking about doting on her again, as if she were a real child. It was as real as he'd ever come though, and ever was likely to, since most women couldn't stand him, or thought he was just a rich, smart, totally crazy guy that they couldn't put up with anymore. He frowned softly at that.
He wouldn't be able to give Claudia a mother, he feared, and on top of that.....how could he ever replace his Marianna? He'd loved her more than anything, and had been acutely more sane with her around. In all these musings that were quite out of character in such a party setting, he found himself at the house and entered. As his heels claked down the hallway as Claudia silently drifted alongside him, he looked around at the lavish setting. Not bad, not bad, Banning. He whistled slowly and petted Claudia's hair. He hadn't chosen to take Claudia to his old family house, and it lay dormant besides his grandfather and the house staff, so she wasn't used to something so big. She just seemed to be spellbound by all the luxuries here, and was noticing the differences in things, all the little details and whatnot and how it was different from their incredibly high-end apartment. Same financial status, she figured, but it showed a large difference in personalities. But then she noticed another one of THEM. Pointing to him excitedly, she tugged on Dorian's jacket, making him forget once again she wasn't real. She seemed to be doing that more and more lately.
"Papa, it's another one! Why is this one so much bigger?" she inquired, almost miffed that it looked a lot like she did. Why did they both look human, and yet she wasn't granted the luxuries that this thing was? She had to admit, past her initial jealousy and concern that Dorian would cast her aside once the Essentic reached this stage, she loved his bunny ears. They were cute, and looked so soft. Dorian smiled fondly down at her and picked her up easily, putting her up at their level so she wasn't constantly looking skywards to make casual conversation.
"I suppose that's its natural evolution, Claudia dear. All living things turn into something else eventually....it's a marvel though, isn't it? It's a different kind of science from what you and I do though, my sweet little toaster oven. You'll see. You're just as sophisitcated as he is," he reassured, not knowing if she felt any ajitation at their similarities and differences, but letting her know gently that she was different and splendid in her own way. He really DID need to find a way to make her grow....maybe he could look into a growing gene or pituitary gland for androids? All of the components Claudia was made of were technically able to grow since they were bioengineered to do so in a real human being. Maybe he could let her change and grow with more research too? He'd have to study his own Essentic and this older one throughly to see if he could replicate the anomaly in Claudia.
He waved at the bunny-eared boy, and had the distinct feeling that he'd been knocked down by this kid before......it made him want to reach for a syringe hidden in his jacket pocket, but he didn't want to risk dropping Claudia. Lucky bugger, if she wasn't there.....well, he'd have to control the urge tonight. He wanted to cause trouble, but not so much that the Essentic would go away and he couldn't study it anymore.

Lauss continued to pull against Lee to get a better look at this unknown beast, even after the fangs came out. "A dog, you say? What is this dog's purpose? Does it speak? What are it's--" Lee tugged on Lauss once more to keep him from pestering the man any further. "You can ignore him..." Lee tugged on the ends of her hair, stretching out the curls a bit more than she probably should have. Willingly meeting new people wasn't something she was used to.
The sound of Banning's voice instantly straitened Lee's posture and she looked around for the source. Ah, perhaps she should drag Lauss inside? Probably not best to show him off in public like this. Lee smiled uncomfortably at the man with the dog, unsure if she should listen to Banning's suggestion (more of a demand, really) or continue to converse with these two. "W-what's his name? Or is it a she?" Lee asked, starting to head inside and hoping the man would follow her in.

As the two young men walked through the doors of the stately manor, Verdant blushed, more from the enthusiasm in Shade's voice than anything else. "Thank you, Shade. That's sweet of you." He then grinned at Shade's bashfulness and chuckled. "You look very handsome, Shade, despite your discomfort." Verdant smoothed out the impling's suit and adjusted his tie; the imp had made it too tight for himself. "There's not much I can do about the scratchiness of the material, but at least you look good."
On the way to the ballroom, Verdant saw that an older man and who he assumed to be his daughter walk by. They were wearing matching outfits, but the man's beautiful stiletto heel boots caught his eye. I will so be getting some of those.
Verdant placed a hand on Shade's shoulder to stop himself from falling down from shock. He knew that Banning was almost literally made of money, but Jesus! The ballroom was magnificent; he felt like Cinderella, only male, tall, and wearing leather boots instead of crystal slippers.
"Wow..."

Eli followed the girl in order to continue the conversation and appease their host. At least he'd have someone interesting to talk to for a bit. " Kell is male." The green eyed man replied, responding first to her before letting his gaze fall once again on her companion. So many questions to answer, he could ignored him as the girl suggested but why bother when it gave him an excuse to stick close to the pair and analyze them better.
" Well there's lots of different breeds of dogs but Kell's kind is used for hunting. They have superior senses of smell compared to the average human and can follow the trails of scent that all living beings create." Rather useful to have even if it had been causing issues lately. " Also no dog's can't talk." Which was probably a good thing if Eli was honest with himself, he wasn't sure he'd wanted to know what a dogs exact though process was.
" I'm Eli by the way and you two are?" The man's voiced faded a bit as he stared in amazement at the grandeur inside the manor.

Lee smiled. "Would he mind if I petted him?" Lee wasn't so much an animal person, but she seemed to like the dog quite a bit as they appeared to have something in common; both she and Kell weren't overly happy when Lauss was around. Besides, she rarely got the chance to see large dogs used as pets.
"Is he familiar with the 'gun'? From what I've heard, it is used for such matters." Lauss was impressed with what he heard about the creature's sense of smell, and while he had a list of follow up questions, Lee's death-stare kept him from speaking up any more.
Stepping into the Ballroom, Lee felt rather in her element. This was something she could handle; perhaps not everyone here had attended a ball of this sort before, but she wasn't expecting it to be any different than the normal gatherings she'd tag along to with her parents.
"I am Lauss, and this is Miss Lee. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Eli." Lauss introduced both himself and his master, but Lee was too busy scanning the area for anyone she might recognize to get upset with him for speaking for her. Let's see... There was Misha and Miss Longway, and of course Ellandra, who Lauss was ready to run over just a moment ago... and... was that Trystan? As long as he didn't bring any weapons with him, she wasn't going to bother with him. She turned back to Eli and smiled, pulling at the ends of her white gloves out of habit. She could get to the others later, she supposed.

Alright, good lads'n lasses, gents and ladies. Moving on through.
Ticking off his mental checklist one by one, Banning was pleased to see most people had arrived by now. Still, he lingered by the gates casually after most had passed them into the domain, and the manor beyond the driveway. His assistants and servants would handle them from here, he had... work to do later.
Yet again it was quite surprising to see that a lot of them had met each other at some point in time. This could get interesting. A certain unexpectedly fast growth wasn't lost on him either.
~
"So many...."
"Sure there are many... More'n ever stop by at L.E., at least. Don't you dare freak out on me will you."
"MMnnn...no I won't."
So there they were... people they'd met before, some complete strangers -where DID their boss keep hauling them from? seriously now-, but all looking quite interesting.
At one point, after Longway'd gone off and left Misha to stand there feeling rightfully useless, and he'd started to feel watched. Oh look, a young girl... at least, he thought she was, then doubted his first impression. A glance up at the man she was with made him inch away sliiightly. Creepy.... now where have I seen this guy before?
At least he was distracted quick enough by more prying niggles.
Like... whoah. Heeeeey brother-mine. Boy, he sure got lugged around, his young misstress plowed on through right away. Didn't seem to bother him much, how curious. For a moment he had to resist the growing urge to bound after and steal him away to talk, it'd been ages since he last was with a sibling. And Aria hadn't talked much, back then. Keeping himself in check, Misha wondered if they could feel his presence, the same way he felt theirs, this close.
Only then did he realise who Lee was with there. .... mister Galvao? and, eep! Kell, too. Lauss, you be careful will you, don't look like prey! XD
~
Longway had moved on into the Ballroom-Dining room going after some of the guests, also having recognised miss Katan, and went to stir up the servants and butlers. Soon enough they were flaring out, offering the people something to drink, to nibble, before dinner. Request what you wish, we have almost everything, in the broadest sense of everything.

Faolan ruffled Ziazan's feathered hair, brushing the hood back now that they were within the safety of Banning's place. "Stay close, but go play. I think I see Trystan and Crux over there. See if you can get them to come here so Trystan can meet Ellandra formally."
"Sure." Ziazan wound through the crowd, skirtsing about Eli's dog, still unsure of it, and paused to stare at Lauss a moment. Hello there, fellow sibling. He moved on, heading for where he'd seen Trystan. Even though he was taller, the young Essentic was still painfully aware at how short he was.
Noticing some steps at the front of the room, he headed that way, trailing a few tarot cards behind. At the top of the steps, he stretched up on his toes, trying to locate Crux and Trystan for Faolan. He really wished he could still fly at this moment.

B-but you have like, buttwings, dear!
Yet another pulse, so strong it was plain impossible to ignore this time. Misha was jolted to attention, blinked around trying to locate the source of it. And then, certain doom.
For as far as you can call an excitable bunbuns bursting into fully enhanced speed mode 'doom', of course. I guess it was no stretch to claim that seeing yet another sibling for the first time and finding it 'all grown up' was quite THE factor today which held the greatest 'ZOMFG!!!11!' potential.
Hence why in three... two... Zia would find itself getting yoinked up in one overeager squishy-warm hug.
One,... zero.
WHAM. Glomptackled, hugged-the-stuffing-out-of.
"Hiiiiiii!"
Talk about an emotionally pitched hello. Nice to meet you, don't mind me latching on likea vicegrip here.

Elst's eyes widened at the word 'wife'. Had they really? "Wife? Oh, wonderful! Congratulations, really. You two seem so happy together, it's a beautiful sight." He flashed a wide grin, truly happy to see the pair together. Things had progressed so quick, too, and it seemed to have done so without a hitch. The next revelation, however, nearly floored him. As they entered the Manor, a small figure peeked out from behind Fao, and... Was that Zia? The grin widened, if that was even possible.
"Oh my.... Zia? You've grown so much since the last I saw you, already Alter... Very impressive!" From behind Elst, Aoi took a quick look, and simply through the look of his eyes alone, it could be seen that he was shocked. Z-Zia…? It’s nice to see you again! Now, Aoi’d always been fairly tall and wispy, but he now had to look up to see his brother…sister? Whatever’s face now. He watched as the Alter zoomed off for a bit, only to be practically tackled by Misha.

Faolan grinned at Elst, taking the congratulations good-naturedly. "There's more, Elst. I'm gonna be a dad. Zia's pretty sure on it anyway." He hugged Ellandra to his side a moment, before focusing attention back on the plant man. "Kinda the reason we got married so quick, well . . . one of many."
Zia yelped and flailed about, wings flapping--cards and feathers scattering everywhere. He struggled about, twisting in Misha's arms till he could face the bunny boy, then froze, peering up at him with wide rainbow eyes. "I remember you. You and that woman threw Faolan and me out of the shop."
Finally he squirmed free, landing on his butt, and stared up at Misha. "Could've greeted me a little easier, though."

Plop.
Whoops.
"Ayaaaah..." heheh, how very, very awkward. "Sorry about that." x3 His tufty tail was twitching, the messenger still being visibly excited. "About.. both things. Didn't mean for neither to have any ill effects, really."
He knelt down, offered his hand to help the newly grown Alter up. "I'm... it's.... so good to see you at last..." Awh bunbuns, don't you go all emo now. "You're all grown-up, like me now... Ah, Ellandra told me you were alright with your friend, but I was still worried." x"3

Ziazan took the offered hand, letting Misha pulled him up. "No harm done. I'm used to being knocked down. I live with Faolan, after all, and he can be less than graceful at times."
At the mention of Ellandra, the young Essentic raised an eyebrow. Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, bunny? "When have you seen Ellandra recently? She didn't tell me about that." He looked down at himself, then back up at Misha. "Apparently still small, though. I wanted to be big to help Foalan, but I didn't seem to get that big at all. And you shouldn't worry. Faolan's been good to me. He's kind of like a big brother sometimes."

Hyuppa, there you go. "Hah... I was told he's a dancer, he can't be all that bad..."
Heehee, read the floor young one XD Just not here, way too many people have been here to make sense of any reading you get.
"She didn't? Ah, she was quite preoccupied with other things..." he smiled softly, recalling how dreamy she'd been about the propect of being with Faolan for ever and ever, just like in the stories.
"I really am sorry about letting you go like that... but it's good you appear to be alright now. You just bonded with mister Faolan before we knew what was happening, and... it would have been cruel to seperate you. heh, did we ever get yelled at for that messup." mrgreen
"Na... I think you're plenty big to help out if you want to. Besides, you might still grow. You know falling hurts much more when you come from higher up?" Misha grinned cheekily. ".... say, if Fao's your big brother, sort of... can I be your big brother, too?"
Awwww, puppy eyes. Don't DO that Mish, it's no fair.
