Don't see it making much of a difference unless you used it continuously. Any one who doesn't want to revise will happily sit out the time and not revise out of spite or some rebellion on principle.
Kids who will revise will do it without being forced, kids who won't revise will just resent you for using such extreme measures to force them into it.
