"Don't look at me," Omi said, lifting both hands as she grinned. "I'm not saving you." As if lending credence to her words, she started for the lake, stretching as she tied her hair up into a bun.
"And neither am I," Raven said, grinning as she tugged on Sei. "Come ON, it'll be fun!"

"Drat."
It was all there was to say, really. But it honestly looked like Raven would not give up - and how hard could swimming be, anyway ? He could just stick on the edges.
Maybe.
He gave a sigh that was all too over-dramatic, and slid his jacket off. "Just not all the way, okay ? I... can't swim."
Oh. the sound of a male ego being crushed.

"It's okay," Raven said, motioning a thumb to Omi. "Neither can she."
"RAVEN!"
"Well, you CAN'T!" The foxcoon stuck her tongue out at her sister, grinning. "You almost drowned in the fishpond."
Omi scowled, standing in waist-deep water with her arms crossed over her chest. "I was TWO."

"Somehow, I don't think that counts..."
And neither did he have the excuse of being two.
His jacket fell rather unceremoniously on the ground as Raven forced him upward again, fingers reaching down to take off the tanktop he had been wearing underneath, and managing to kick off his sneakers without falling down on his face. He wasn't keen on wearing his work uniform outside work itself, though he could just put on the pants to get back home.
All he knew, really, what that he would have one hell of a story to tell to a very amused guardian.

Now it was Raven's turn to stare, only she wasn't able to hide it as easily as Sei was. Nor did she really intend to. One hand came up to brush lightly against the gem that was resting against Sei's chest, a single claw following one of the circuit trails away from it. "It's beautiful," she said, then looked back up to him with a smile. The curious hand was extended to him then, and she started towards the lake.
Omi, for her part, was just smirking. Oh the blackmail she would have later....

Sei had to resist the instinct to recoil as she reached for the gem, but forced himself put.
Stop being so damn paranoid... It's not like a touch can break it.
"It gets in the way alot." He admitted, smiling in turn, though his own was slightly more nervous, and reached for her hand.
"No dunking." He warmed, rather playfully.

Raven noticed his hesitation, and didn't attempt to touch the stone again. She hadn't known he was so sensitive about it... and it didn't take a mind reader to see the flinch. She offered an apologetic smile, then darted towards the water. "Come on in!" she called out, waving him to follow as she joined Omi in the lake.

There seemed, indeed, to be no escape from this. Raven would not relent, Omi wouldn't help, and in a race, he was all but too aware of who would win.
Hint : it wasn't him.
It wasn't that he was worried of the water itself, per-se - he'd known himself basically waterproof for... oh, most of his life ? - but he'd never ventured into a large body of water of any kind.
He stepped inside and walked up to catch with with Omi, who seemed to still be waiting for them.

The girls didn't seem to be heading into the really deep water, at any rate. Omi stopped when it was up to her shoulders, basking in the cool water and watching the other two. Raven was a bit more apt to go out a bit farther, but was content to duck herself under the water to wet her hair and fur completely, then come back up.
"This... feels great," she purred, eyes half lidding as she floated on her back. Her tail swished through the water beneath her, the breeze spinning her around lazily on the water's surface.

While Sei could not exactly comment on that specific matter, he seemed to be having the advantage of height in this situation, and as long as he knew his feet where solidly planted on the ground, all was well.
Though that did result in some hilarious peeking downward glances, as if no make sure he was still, indeed, on solid ground, even if he had not moved an inch.

"You okay?" Raven asked, floating by and snagging hold of his arm to keep herself from drifting outward even farther. "You look like something bit your toes." Granted, she couldn't talk. There were minnows in here, and apparently the tip of her tail was a delicacy. It was tickling her, and her tail kept lashing through the water beneath her.
Omi was content to just stay where she was... she didn't know how to float very well, so didn't trust herself to stay in shallow water if she tried.

"No idea." The boy admitted. "Did you see anything ?" He peered down once more. Nope. Nothing down there. The minnows apparently did not think him delicious, at least not yet. He wriggled his toes experimentally, though that did not seem to attract the fishes much.
"Just making sure my feet stay on solid ground. Pretty sure ill sink like a rock if they don't."

"Are you serious?" Raven grinned at that, the mental image was amusing as hell. "I don't think I've seen anyone SINK before. Not float well, maybe... but not sink." She kept hold of his arm, the soft waves of the lake making her bob around him idly. "And the only thing I'm seeing or feeling is the minnows nibbling my tail. It tickles like hell."
"Great, my sister is fish food." Omi smirked, making sure her hair was in a knot atop her head. Then she moved out towards them, making sure her toes could still touch the bottom as she inched closer. "So what have you been doing with yourself, Sei?"

"Well, let's not test out the theory, okay ?" He pouted. "After all, do tell me when was the last time you've seen metal float ?" Case and point. Case and point.
"Pretty good, I guess. Got a job, as you might have overheard - trying not to make Ken's life too much hellish in the process, though it looks like im doing good so far..."

"I think he deserves to have his life made hell occasionally," Raven muttered, sticking her tongue out. "Especially after he sat there and left my character butt naked with no hearthstone, no money, NOTHING but a jug of wine and a brick of cheese...."
"What the?" Omi blinked, looking at her as if she'd gone crazy.
"At the gates of Ahn'Qiraj." Raven glanced up to Sei then. "I almost killed him."
Omi just sighed, rolling her eyes. It had to be that game again.
