Since Lin was pretty sure she had never met Amora, she had a sneaking suspicion that Amora had Sight. She hadn't seen Lothiriel and Pen (Estel) since Lore and Elnara's wedding.
She nodded at this and smiled, "Yes, actually I'm here to visit them and Elros."

Amora smiled warmly. "I thought as much," she giggled. "I sent Argilead for them. Come, sit, they will be here shortly."
She motioned for Lin to follow her into the library, nodding at one of the cushioned chairs across from the desk where she had been working. She kept Elia at her shoulder, rubbing her back gently. The little girl, it seemed, had fallen asleep indeed.

Lin followed, she couldn't help but glance around the library, while she wasn't as much of a bookworm as Shiro or Alyse, she did at least understand the value of an informative book (and an entertaining one if you were Gaian). Taking a seat, Lin noted the work.
"Thank you.... were you studying?"

Amora sat in the chair across from Lin, crossing her legs politely and holding her sister close. "In a manner of speaking, yes," she smiled. "I ... am done lessons for the day, but Nana encourages me to do more than I am required. And I am willing to admit that I do enjoy it. Lately, I've begun my own little ... well, I suppose you could call them experiments. So much about the world is already known, but there is so much more to learn."
Her smile widened. "Always ... so much more to learn ..."

It reminded her of Alyse... or maybe Adonai, or any number of the scholars she knew, but the experiments reminded her the most of the first two.
"There always is," Lin murmured, "And to see..."

"To see, yes," Amora nodded with a smile. "But I am not sure I am meant for travel. Perhaps someday, I suppose. But of course, right now I am too young for any of that anyways."
"And will be for quite a while," a male voice cut in from the doorway. Estel had entered the room just at that moment, and he chuckled softly and moved to join the two girls. "Lin," he said warmly, holding out one hand to her. "Welcome. We have been looking forward to your visit for quite a long time."

She stood and took his hand, he was still Pen, but he also was.. different. Lin smiled and shook, happy to see her friend again.
"I haven't seen you since the wedding, Pe-- err... Estel," she tilted her head and tried to think if she should have added king to that.
This was so strange....

And Estel seemed to sense her uncertainty. He grinned and winked at her. "It's just us, Estel is fine," he told her. "But if there are guards around, it's best to be formal."
He chuckled softly. "And I see you've been getting to know my daughters ... Amora, fourteen already, and Elia, just two."
Amora smiled at Lin. "How old are you?" she asked brightly.

Lin scratched her cheek, when she goes traveling she thought she is going to have to decided on a good age to tell people outside of this circle of family and friends.
"Five," she finally replied sheepishly.
At least she was sure that's how old she was by now.

Amora blinked. "But ... that doesn't make any sense," she commented, her brow furrowing in confusion. "Pengolodh is nine, and he's only a little taller than you are ..."
Estel laughed. "Lin is not a regular sort of human," he winked at his daughter. "Though," he added, looking at Lin, "it does appear that you've grown since the last time I saw you. All grown up and ready for your trip now, I would imagine?"
He reached to take Elia from Amora, and held her in his arms like the tiny child that she was.

Lin nodded, "Even though it probably will only be a few months back home, I still have a few loose ends to tie up before I travel. Otherwise, first would be a trip around the Southland."
She grinned, her poor father now had to live with the fact that she could tell him where she's going but he couldn't say no.

Estel chuckled. "Well, I wish you the best of luck in your travels, then," he smiled. "Mm. How long will you be staying with us? This is your first time here, I almost forgot ..."
If there was time, she would need a tour of the castle, at least as much as it was completed, and she would definitely have to meet the whole family - and he had a feeling she would probably want to spend a bit of time with Elros as well.

Lin had to think about it, "I'm not sure, a few days at least. I really don't have a time limit put on me unlike in the past..."
And there was no good reason to do so for her, it wasn't like she had to worry about growing old and shorting her life span.

Estel smiled widely. "Good. Then we can show you a bit of the city as well. I'm sure you'd probably also like to meet Shael's brother and sister - they live in this city, did you know that? But first ..."
He smiled at Amora. "Continue with what you were doing, sweetheart, I'm going to take Lin to see your mother."
Amora nodded and bowed her head politely at Lin. "It was a pleasure to meet you," she said softly, rising to her feet. "I'll see you again later."

"See you later," Lin bowed her head in return before going to join Estel.
She had heard of Shael's brother and sister but had never met them, she had also heard that Shael's sister was a twin.
