"No problem." Kiara smiled closing the pink nail polish and putting it back in her bag. She picked up the orange and purple containers and started walking again. This came so naturally to her as well, making the same pattern on each hand but reversing the colors, she painted all her nails with the two colors, switching off with each finger. Once she was finished she looked at the street name and frowned, they were almost at Addie's school. "I guess you would be in the lowest age range right? Do you know where your room is?"

Addie had no clue what her teacher's name was. "Er ... No. I mean, yes. Um... I'm with the little kids," she said after quite a bit of word fumbling. "I don't know anything." She was speaking a lot more than she had planned to. she bit her lip with the mental image of clasping a music box in mind.

Kiara thought a moment and then smiled. "Well then looks like I'll have to help you find out where your classroom is... I didn't actually go to this school when I was younger so it should be an adventure for both of us." she smiled, finally finishing her nails. She put the containers away and held her hands out to let them dry. She looked and realized they were already at the school. "This looks is near the main office.. I think.... I should have paid more attention with what I was doing last year." sighing Kiara looking at all the kids. "Stay close to me so you don't get lost.." she smiled.

Sir Awesomealot The year-round school does not separate classes by age, but by age range, and resides in a small building just outside the center of town. ((Doesn't this mean that it is all one school? No 'Elementary School' and just a few classes/rooms?)))

Monty Park
Monty sat at the kitchen table with his head hovering over his plate absentmindedly shoving fork fulls of microwave cooked cheesy scrambled eggs with a side of buttered toast to soak up the runny bits of yolk; his brown eyes starred transfixed at the small television playing in the den area across the room.
Watching the news first thing in the morning was boring, he couldn't see or understand why adults did it. But since he was now thirteen, emphasis on the teen part he had to be more mature and do more adult things like watching the news.
As the commercial break began to air he heard the door of is aunt's room click as it unlocked and opened letting the woman out, dressed neatly for a day at the clinic. "Good morning." She called out to him walking by to pour herself a mug of coffee laced with nearly half the bowl of sugar and a cheese danish.
"Good mor-" His words caught short as he saw one important bit of news, "Zucchini! Zucchini! The Empire Strikes Back!"
"The Empire does what?" Zookie Burrs asked looking towards the television while taking a near scalding sip of her coffee followed by a cooling bite of her danish.
"The Star Wars movie. Can we see it?" He asked forgetting about adulthood and maturity.
Zookie took a clean dishrag and wiped her nephew's face amazed that he could get dirty so quickly even though he had just showered that morning. "Maybe next weekend. But right now it's time that we got going." Tossing his plate into the sink and handing him his lunch bag Zookie ushered him from their little home grabbing her purse and his book bag along the way.
Standing by their bikes Monty reluctantly gave his aunt a kiss on her cheek, hoping that no one from school was around to see the childish and embarrassing act. As soon as his lips just barely brushed her cheek did he pull away and mount his bike paddling away as fast as he could.
'Why does she make me do that?' He screamed in his head fighting the red blush creeping over his face.

"Hey, you're late" she said to her friend as she rode up. The other children in her family had already left for school, to get there early and hang out with friends.
The rode together slowly, chatting. Pat got off of her bike and walked when they passed the first visible house from the road. Her friend did so too. She stopped, and looked behind her, there was someone else. They had only been riding at about walking speed.
"Hey, you wanna play with Zach?" Pat asked her friend.
"Naw, not today." Was her friend's reply before jumping on her bike. "Last to school gets a handicap in tonight's game!"
Pat jumped on her bike and sped after her friend.
The friend stopped in the bike area first, but Pat had gained the lead in the hallway and it was close to a tie as to who was in the classroom first.
"Tie, no loser?" Suggested Pat.
Her friend laughed and agreed, better than both getting a handicap.
Panting they sat next to each other.
Their classroom already had a few student in it. They were about 10 minutes early today thanks to the race.

[[There are two classrooms. One for students learning to read and write, a little past that too, and one for everyone else. The older kids help the younger kids and learn on their own or the teacher teaches them and they teach, not just help, the younger kids. There is a teacher's lounge, and office, a fenced in play area, a store room and two other small classrooms. The other two class rooms can be used for independent study, special education, or whatever else. The fence is open to the small parking lot and bike rack, and the school land goes all the way around the school. The play area has recess things and a playground and is also used for PE.]]

He groaned when he saw the girls stop, and released a sigh of relief when her heard them shout and speed off. He suspected he would be late if he didn't hurry, but the air felt heavy. "I need to remember to fix my bike later."
Zach arrived at school, slipping through the doors behind someone too busy to notice anyone else. He stepped out of the way, slipped his shoes off, and walked to class as her put them in an empty side of his bag.

Monty pedaled harder as he drew nearer to the school giving his schoolmates his chipped tooth smile while waving; when he saw some of the girls and younger kids he began to pedaling without his holding his hands on the handlebars in some stunt to impress them and seem cooler.
His oh so 'mature' stunt was brought to an end when his bike wobbled as the front wheel bumped into the slightest of incline of the parking lot nearly causing him to slam into the side of the fence.
'I hope no one saw that.' He thought to himself riding up to the bike rack then dismounting his bike only to trip against the bike rack as his near ratty old sneaker had gotten its dingy shoestring wound up into his pedal. "Crud." He muttered yanking his foot free and without bothering to tie his shoe walked into the door behind another boy. In a practiced move he kicked one shoe off his foot into the air catching it as it fell and then the other before rushing into class, he rather liked helping out the younger kids it showed his growing 'maturity'.

Addie reached out for Kiara's hand and grabbed it as they got closer to the school. Her nerves were at their peak now, and she felt somewhat safe with Kiara. She began to realize that she was depending excessively on her, though, and let go of her hand again. "Calm down, it's just a bunch of brats... You will be just fine. Go in there, read, color, lay there while everyone takes a nap. You'll be ok." She fingered her now glossy and pink nails as she tried to sort out this inner conflict.

Kiara smiled at Addie as she grabbed her hand then back away a bit. How cute... she's so shy! She thought with a smile and continued to walk towards the building. It had grown familiar eventually, she had only ever been in the room she stayed in... there were a number of other rooms but she hoped Addie might share one with her. "Don't worry. Everything's going to be fine." She said looking at the girl. "If you need anything just tell me." She looked around a moment to see if anyone she knew was around.

Zachery Whiste
He had just sat down at his desk when the bell rang. His bag was tucked away in his cubby, along with his lunch. In front of him was a stack of a couple books, two pencils, and an open notebook. The page was open to just a few from the back. On it were a few doodles. Zach picked up one of his pencils and looked around the room.
Pat had appeared to be settled in, along with the other girl that lives near them. When Monty came into the room, Zach had given a small wave to the other boy before standing up to go to his desk.
[[I did this without any order so that I didn't force then entering order, or who was late and who wasn't. I think out of the played characters Pat was first, then Zach, then Monty. Apart from that I'm not sure. If someone wants to post the teacher entering and the description that is alright with me. If not, I'll have it in my next post.]]

Kiara smiled, having led Addie to the classroom which the two turned out to be sharing. She took her seat by the some of the other kids who were fourteen and looked around awkwardly. "Oh yea.. I don't really know many people..." She sighed to herself, Having always seemed like the oddball of the school. Maybe it was because of her superstitions.. maybe they just didn't like how she looked. Either way not many people seemed to like her. Now she was hyper and looking around for ANYONE to talk to. She could always go chat with Addie.. claim she was helping the girl out. No that would look even worse.. better to stay where she was and just... twiddle her thumbs, that was it! She would twiddle her thumbs until the sugar rush wore off. "Oh no... Addie must be having one too..." She thought, not realizing she was now drumming hard on her desk, deep and depressing music. The girl was so much smaller than her and yet she had eaten almost the same amount of that breakfast! This wouldn't be a good first day if the sugar kicked in the wrong way.

Going to his desk Monty sat his bag down on the hook and removed a two out and nearly outdated text books and his notebook where his aunt had neatly written his name boldly on the cover with a marker, and he had proceeded to doodle over it with his ink pen soon after.
Looking about the room he took in the sight of his classmates trying to see who was present and who might be absent and in need of extra notes or a make up delivered to them after school, or need to copy his first thing in the morning.
His eyes lingered on the girls for a brief moment his stomach twisting lightly before he spotted Zach again. "Hey, did you hear that Return of the Jedi is coming to the movies this week? I hope Zucchini takes me." He said excitedly.
