Jacen blinked. Kaimi had moved--he hadn't expected that at all. Though he'd assumed the sand would have to be wet. He emptied the pail, and instead picked up a few seashells as he walked towards her. "We can use these to decorate it." He said, handing her the shells. "If you like."

"Sure! Thats a good idea." She began packing sand into the bucket and then upended it so there was a roughly bucket-shaped mound of snow sitting in front of them.

Jacen smiled, he always did when he was told he'd had a good idea. He rarely got such compliments. "I'll make the moat." The elf offered, taking out a shovel. "Or, do you want to?" He asked. "I could make the walls, if you like."

"You can do the moat." Kaimi said, trying to carve out turrets on the boxy looking structure. "And we can use those seashells you brought as windows and doors and stuff."

Jacen nodded and started to make a shallow ring around the castle. "There has to be water in the moat." Jacen said, with a grin. "All castles have moats--well, except for the one in Lynwood.. They don't need one." He took a pail and went to get some water.

"Tell me about the castle in Lynwood?" Kaimi asked wistfully as she placed a couple of seashell windows. "I've never seen a real castle before."

Jacen stopped what he was doing, and crossed his legs. "It's beautiful." He said, and smiled at Kaimi. "Hardly as beautiful as you though." He added. "I suppose--well, it's the biggest building I've ever been in. Towers, and hundreds of rooms. Rooms no one's been in for thousands of years even."
"Not really the kind of place you'd think someone would run away from, right? I suppose it depends on what the people are like, who live there. I think Thali's favorite room was the library."

"And theres a king and queen?" Kaimi asked, her eyes glazed over in imaginings as her fingers blindly attempted to sculpt a tower. "I'll bet it's wonderful. We don't really have anything like that here."

"Yeah--Averi and Almira." Jacen said with a nod. "I don't know about wonderful. I think you have to live there to know what it's like. They're really.. traditional. Strict." He shrugged. "It's better here. Less rules."

"Hmmm." Kaimi mused thoughtfully. She was not one who particularly enjoyed rules, nor did she have a tendency to respect authority figures. "I guess kings and queens are supposed to be strict." She decided finally before glancing at the sky. The sun was angling it's way downwards. "Uh-oh, I'd better think about getting home. I promised I'd keep an eye on Mara tonight."

Jacen frowned slightly, and then he realized how late it was. "Alright, see you tomorrow?" He asked hopefully. "Meet you at the park in Barton--five o'clock?"
Then he did something so uncharacteristic, so unpredictable, that it even threw him off guard. He leaned in to kiss her.

"Five o'clock is..." Was what Kaimi managed to get out before the kiss landed. Her eyes fluttered closed briefly and a blush colored her cheeks. "Oh." She said when they pulled apart. Her blush deepened. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Was all the flustered girl said before she fled the scene.
