Ellandra blushed and blinked up at him her eyes widening. "I - I... tell you?" she asked hesitantly, not understanding what he meant. She tilted her head a bit, watching him and trying to relax a little more. Really, this was nice. . . she was just - oh, why couldn't she keep herself together?!?

Faolan nodded. "Take charge of it. I'm coming on a bit strong, so you tell me what you like or don't like. Might help you pass out less when we're being . . . intimate and close."

Ellandra smiled softly. "A-alright," she said, and then paused. "I suppose I just n-need more practice!" Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, and she relaxed a great deal.
It was about time!

"Practice with what?" Fao asked, giving a sort of cheeky grin. He could feel the girl relax against him and was glad she was loosening up a bit.

Ellandra tilted her head innocently. "Ways to deal with caffeinated b-baboons?" She suggested, her eyes sparkling. Of course that wasn't what she had in mind at all - she knew it and (surely!) Faolan knew it, but she had to suggest it. She didn't know why - ahh, was his sense of humor rubbing off on her?
...Oh dear!

Fao was always one to roll with the punches and began explaining, quite seriously, "Ah, yes. Well, you see, the trick there is to catch that naughty monkey off-guard. I find a flying half-nelson usually works. Then you hit it over the head with the coffee pot repeatedly till it finally relinquishes your favorite "World's #1 Grandpa" mug. Afterward, getting rid of it is as easy as throwing a cherry danish in the clowns' tent and telling it to go get it." Because none of that would be from actual experience. Nope. Not at all.
Well . . . maybe a little bit.

Ellandra giggled. "D-does it have to be a - a cherry danish? Would st-strawberry work instead?" The very, very sad thing about that qustion was. . .
She was only half joking.
Oh yes, he was rubbing off on her a little bit too much.

Fao's ear twitched a bit at the question. The girl had been around him too long, but he rather liked it. "I suppose strawberry will do in a pinch." He stroked her back gently, feeling very . . . couple-like at the moment.

Ellandra sighed softly, relaxing even more. "I - I.... sorry...... you're a terrible influence," she said, but it was in a gently teasing tone. She blinked over at Ziazan, stilly asleep on the pillow, and watched it for a few moments. "It's going t-to sleep the day away, isn't it?" She asked softly, before a rather sad frown crossed her face. "And you'll h-have to go soon . . ."
She didn't like that thought very much.
But it was true.

The young man groaned, not wanting to be reminded that he had to leave. "I could always tell Da I fell down the stairs and got run over by a bus full of nuns." He smiled at her, giving a slight shrug. "I don't have to go, love. Da will understand if I want to stay longer." Or at least he hoped the old man would.
He stole a glance to the Essentic where it was happily sprawled on its pillow, drooling and snoring in its sleep. It was almost cute when it wasn't fussing at him over, well, everything. He looked back down at Elle.
"I kinda like it here, you know? Not sure I'm too willing to run off just yet when I have a beautiful woman draped over my scrawny self."

Ellandra blinked. "Y-you do? Why?" It was an honest question - she didn't know what could possibly be interesting about, well, her boring apartment. It was .... just another aparment. Kind of like how she was just another person. Nothing special, rather dull in fact. "I - I mean, it's so boring here. . ."
She fowned up at him at his last statement, her nose wrinkling in indignation. "Don't call yourself things like that! Especially when you're trying to complimnt e - that just makes me feel horrid! B-besides, I'm not beautiful and you're much better looking than you're giving yourself credit for!"
Suddenly she stopped, realizing what she'd just said. She squeaked and buried her head in her hands, her hair falling around her face as she did so.

"Ah, I ain't all that good-looking, Elle. Far too skinny and squidgy to be handsome. You, though, you're gorgeous. You just never seen it before because no one ever told you, and shame on them for that," Fao said softly, putting his fingertips under her chin and getting her to look up at him again. "And you are never boring. Zia's got the ability to read objects, but . . . I read people, and there's something so special about you. I'm surprised more people aren't falling all over themselves to get in the light you're shining so brightly."
He licked his lips, quirking a small nervous smile. It was obvious to him, then, how he felt. For someone like him, falling in and out of easy love was as normal as breathing, but not with Ellandra. She was special and he knew his heart would break if she ever told him to never be around her again. He'd fallen in love with her. Real love. The sort that only happened in fairytales and classic romance novels. It didn't happen to carnival con men, or . . . at least it wasn't supposed to.
Faolan looked down and away, suddenly very shy to meet her gaze. He'd never been unsure of himself or his actions before, but he found himself at a loss for how to be around the girl, worried that everything he did would push her away.

"For being so good at reading people," Ellandra said, staring up at Faolan through wide, very serious grey eyes, "You don't see yourself properly at all. You are good looking, and if you can't see it, it's because something's blinded you. Please, please don't think that you're not - there's no reason at all to think such things!"
Why was he so afraid of her? She didn't understand. . . the last thing she wanted was to hurt him, or to drive him away. Why did it feel like he was so afraid of just that happening? It never would - not willingly on her part, at least. She didn't think she could even bear someone else hurting him, the very thought of anyone hurting him felt like someone shoving a red-hot poker into her heart.
"Please. . . Faolan . . . don't ever think you're - unworthy or something! If you can't accept that on your own, then at least accept that I don't think you're too low-class for me or anything like that! Please?"

Faolan looked back at her, a little surprised at the outburst. "It's not that . . . that I think I'm unworthy, I just don't want to scare you off. I ain't real sure what to think of all this. I've been in relationships before, but none of it felt like this. I don't think I really understood what being in love meant . . . till I met you." He sighed, rubbing his face a bit with the hand he didn't currently have around Ellandra. "And that sounds foolish, too, since I've known you all of a day collectively. It is love, though."
