Writ was still scooping the sugar into his tea. The prospect of Blacksuits chasing after him made him anxious. He stirred the sugar in his cup and sipped his tea. The tooth-rotting sweetness gave Writ a little comfort.
"Yeah, but I think he thinks it was worth it." Writ smirked, "Anything for a little payback."

Izzy tapped his glass. The idea of getting involved with Writ and his friend during one of their trips... the thought thrilled and and scared him. He was still a little kid, but he wanted- needed to man up. What better way than to participate in some of these activities with other, older players? Yet his idea of 'an eye for an eye' still bothered him... but just a bit. Sipping his tea he watched Writ over the rim of his cup, holding it a bit away from his lips. "W-w-when was the n-next t-time you guys wh-where gonna enact some m-more 'payback'?" He asked, still holding the cup up with both his hands. His head reeled, giddy, with the idea of doing something dangerous. Izzy was feeling above fear, for once.

"Probably in a couple of weeks, why?"
Writ knew where this was going. He put his cup down and took a good look at Izzy. He didn't know what Izzy could do exactly. Still, any willing help would definitely be a plus. Though he didn't know whether or not someone as new as Izzy was ready to start gleefully destroying government property, let alone face off the eventual Blacksuits. The newbie could either be some good help or a dangerous liability.

Izzy shook his head slightly. Would he really be able to help? Or would he be too scared? He frowned, sipping from his cup but still not putting it down. "I-I was... j-just th-thinking..." He said, the wheels turning in his head. One part of him told him to do it. It would make him strong, make him grow up. The other part told him to run right now. Why was he having tea with another player? Why was he thinking about putting his neck out for no reason? But... "W-w-would... c-could I... g-g-g-go with you?" Izzy asked quietly, hiding his face behind the cup. He was going to get himself killed.

"Hmm..." Writ rubbed his chin, looking in deep thought. He appreciated the offer, but he had just met the kid. At the moment Izzy looked like he'd run off the first sign of trouble.
"I dunno..."
He glanced at Izzy expectantly. The newbie would have to make his case if he was going to get in on this.

Izzy took a breath and set his cup down. Obviously he'd have to argue his way into one of their escapades. He closed his eyes and played with his cup. "I... I'll try really hard to not get in the way, and try my best to to help! I won't run away- I need to man up! I need to get stronger... and you seem pretty strong so what better way to do so than to follow around some strong players and help them as much as I can?" He spoke so quickly that his stutter didn't even penetrate any of the sentence, and he opened his eyes in amazement. It was a weak case, but it really was the only thing he had.

It may be a weak case, but at least Izzy didn't stutter. The flattery helped too. He was pretty strong, wasn't he? It was only natural for someone like Izzy would join him. In the end, he figured that the more hands, the better. Writ would figure out what Izzy could do to help after he knew what he was doing next. Writ took a sip of his tea before making his verdict, he put his cup down on the saucer and sighed,
"Okay, I'll give you a shot." He said, "But first, you have to tell me what you can do for us, how can you help?"

Izzy thought for a bit, chewing on his lip. What could he do... he blinked. He could grow things. "...if I knew wh-where the place was the n-night before I c-could grow v-vines to climb, to c-cover cameras, to tangle d-doors." He would need a day to grow the plants, with the jacked up soil and seeds Totec had give him. He didn't have any offensive abilities he knew of, other than the special bag of seeds Totec had given him and told him not to use unless he had to to get away... but he wouldn't mention those yet. "I-I could b-be a look out, too..."

"So you grow stuff huh? Cool." Writ didn't know how exactly Izzy would be able to help, but at least the powers he mentioned made some options available. The camera covering intrigued him, he didn't like wearing that tight suit last time, and while he did make a statement with it, he figured that wearing his usual garb with the cameras blind would make the destruction of government buildings a lot more comfortable experience.
"How bout' this, give me your phone number and I'll call you when we need you, okay?"

Frowning, Izzy looked down at his hands. He really needed to get a cell phone... "I-I don't have a ph-phone." He said, turning the cup faster in his hands. Did everyone have a phone now a days? Taking a sip from his cup he frowned, and turned to rummage in his bag. Taking out a small piece of paper and a pen he scribbled down the address of the building int he downers he was staying in and slid it across the table to Writ. "That's wh-where I'm st-staying."

Writ didn't have a phone either. He was still using the payphones around Middling to keep in touch with Vale. Just another reminder to pick up a disposable cell phone next time he came across one. He pocketed the address,
"So what do I say to your mom? I'll bet she'll be the one answering the door."

Izzy shook his head, kicking his feet a bit in nervous apprehension. "N-no... I l-live alone." He said, sipping his tea again. He did not like to think of his mom, living alone now... he made a mental note to stop by and see her soon. "Wh-when you g-get to the building g-go around the corner from th-the main door. Knock on the s-service entrance... I'll answer."

Writ arched his eyebrow, "You live alone?" Maybe he underestimated Izzy a little bit. It had took him a growth spurt and a lot of thought to decide to fend for himself, and it wasn't one of those decisions that he liked making either. There might be more to Izzy than Writ gave him credit for. Or... he just wanted to sound more hardcore. Still, it caught Writ's attention.
"How come?"

Chewing on his lip he sipped his tea, trying to put off having to answer. Taking a breath he sighed. "It's e-easier on m-my mum... if I l-lived a-alone. S-so I l-left." He suddenly hesitated- that sounded selfish! He wasn't being selfish. His face fell a bit, and he looked at the cup in his hands.

"That's pretty hardcore Izz." Writ was impressed. So there were consequences in running away from home, but at least the kid had some initiative.
"You got more guts than you give yourself credit for, wouldn't have done that when I was your age." He wanted to know more, like what happened between him his mother, because something must've happened. But he figured he could draw the line there. No need probe for information about his mom.
