Just tell me how the playing is going to go down, and I'll manage. Regardless, it's going to be a bit awkward, so I'm fine with trying something out and working towards the least painful method. mrgreen
I'm on at work, so I can usually sneak a few posts depending on call volume and what not. The time I have the most online is, alas, on Saturday and Sunday mornings between 12:30 and 8:30 am at my weekend job. When I'm guessing most normal people are sleeping or having fun out in the meat world.

Alright. If this is how everyone feels, I'll get cracking on the IC and OOC threads.
In the beginning, I'd like to try things as discussed in my second example, and if that goes well, we might be able to expand it later, so that the players can directly describe their own resolutions to combat. Social Combat especially might benefit from this, since that depends so heavily on your own character interpretations.
I'll try to get the threads started by this evening, and by Saturday morning at the latest.

Start it when you can.
In any case, experience points won't be given for amount of posts anyway, so people can post when they can. Those able to post often (like me) can also hold back if desired.

And so our story begins...Until our next crisis of game mechanics, I'd like to turn this thread into a venue for discussing what happens in the story. Questions and plans between players, or with the Storyteller, can go here. First off: Nightstriker Addressing the man his tone obviously that of annoyance “something wrong?” Is another player going to answer this, or did you want me to characterize the starer and have him respond? I'll assume the latter, and then make an edit if you tell me another player was going to respond.

If one of the PC's want to sure...but I thought I set it up as some random person sitting behind him. It was some random person who was staring at him and his sword. I figured that there was at least one person who was staring given that people were wondering what kind of an exalt he is.

Hmm. With Cogwheel's introductory post, I'm doing some (mental) chronology rearranging in the story thread.
Since Glorious Fall just had to be difficult wink I think the timeline of introductions should go like this (incidentally, this is also a list of players and their character names/titles):
Akhil - - - Abel Caldeira Iron Soul - - - Nightstriker Anya Wildfang - - - Arthera Valis - - - Sprainogre Perfect Immanence of the Glorious Fall- - - Cogwheel Sasha "Requiem in Moonlight" - - - GS Sailor Saturn
And once we have Cogwheel's next post, we should be ready to roll.

Story Note #1
At this point, your characters are free to move about the cavern, initiate conversations with anyone they like, and generally gather information.
The offer of food is there in case you want to flavor your next post with a reference to what your character ordered. They don't have anything particularly exotic (by our standards) available, but you may assume that anything we might consider mundane can be scrounged up for their champions. Rokan-Jin was once a fairly cosmopolitan trading center, so they still have small stocks of some foreign foodstuffs.
After a brief period of this, I'll have Hidden Jasper call an end to the assembly and arrange sleeping quarters for the night.

Sprainogre if my memory serves me right, Riverspeak is a common language in the Scavenger lands, of which Nexux is a part, and is a very common trade language among the guild.
And just as a small refresher, for each dot in linguistics you have you get one extra language

Sorry for taking so long with the post. I was waiting to see if Cogwheel was going to post, or if there was more to the discussion, and if that might affect what happened next.

I'm afraid some IRL matters kept me away from my machine, but I'm back, and have an entire week without other concerns. I'll try to make up for lost time.

Right, we're up and running!
As Jasper and Azurite will soon explain (especially if your characters raise the question), the first "mission" is more diplomatic and investigative in nature, while the second one will be more about action and stealth.
To speed things up a little, I think it might be best to temporarily split the group up so that each character can stand out a bit more. To that end, these two "missions" can be run simultaneously, or everyone can stick together and tackle them in sequence.
If the group does split up, I can make another pair of IC/OoC threads to keep the two missions separate.
Thoughts or questions?
