i really like it because i think it show the inner workings of humans...the different views and even different paths that two people may take even though they have the same goal for the future.....not to mention the geass...that just intrigued me....when i first started watching it i was totally confused because it was in the middle of season 2 but I've finally watched the begining....now that i understand i LOVE THE GEASS!!! the knightmares are pretty cool too....i really like the guren and lancelot albion.....i used to watch gundam wing....like ten years ago...but i still like it...the mecha aspect is always cool! biggrin

I think its because it has so many things thrown in there, the mecha, the love characters have for each other, like Lelouch and Nunally and Shirley and Lelouch, and Euphinia and Suzaku, all of the political issues, the fact that people see Zero as there only hope, how humans would really blame everything on one person rather then a piece of technology.

The storyline, characters, the battles and action, the drama, and the suspense make the show great.

I loved the plotline and the art.
But most of all, the plotline.
The ending.

Code Geass has so much going for it, it's no surprise there's so much that can be said what makes it so popular. heart For me, it's the art, first...CLAMP, and its inspirations, always drew my eye, the long limbs and the beautiful faces. Lulu's eyes were a big reason as to what kept me watching, being the Lulu fangirl that I am. XD But it also has pulse-pounding action and battles, danger and close calls, sprinkled liberally with romance here and there and humor. I also love the character interaction, the plot, and the way it made you think. It wasn't just some mindless drivel, nor was it just some mecha anime (thank goodness). You were always kept on your toes, trying to figure out what happens next. That was some darn good anime!

For me, it was the suspense, Lelouch outwitting everyone, and the battles, the battles were just epic.

The storyline, suspense, animation, fights, the interactions of the characters with each other, and the development of some of the characters (examples: Lelouch, C.C., and Suzaku). They all change throughout the series.
Lelouch changes his goal from creating a perfect world for only Nunnally to creating a perfect world for EVERYONE.
Lelouch and C.C. don't trust each other at first, but by the end of R2, they do, and they treat each other WAY better.
Suzaku treats Lelouch as a friend until Euphy dies. Then, he treats him as an enemy from the end of R1 and throughout most of R2. But at the end, he lets go of his grudge.
