Right, like I said... it's in the large block you quoted. sybrid Catholics complained bitterly about both and did s**t about either other than lure more people in by making them controversial. Stigmata did not deserve to be controversial.

Eva-Pilot Religious people are the most zealous of protesters I know. I hope they don't cause any trouble for this movie. I guess that depends on how blatantly the movie shows its religious themes. They're the most zealous of protesters and mostly what they do is help the movies by making them controversial. You know what book got popular in the USSR after Russia banned religion? The Bible. People are drawn to things they're told they shouldn't go see. I think the worst that'll happen from religious nutjobs protesting Eva is that it'll attract tons of n00bs who wouldn't have wanted to see the movie otherwise and then they'll come and bitterly complain about how Eva sucks without having ever seen the anime, judging it only based on the movie.

I've always just assumed they'd cut the religious themes out of it altogether to make a 'boy who pilots giant robot and who hates his father' movie.. although I've probably assumed wrong. Well, I hope I have anyway.

Well, talking about religious people protesting, I disagree... personally anyway. I'm a devout Catholic, but I loved Evangelion, and I can't wait for the movie! Then again, I also thought Dogma was a good movie, despite some of its bizare religious things...

Excellent, so the plan involves the following: Break into Gainax, steal the water cooler Hunt down Anno and drag him to North America for tort - questioning Hunt down the writer for an article for Anime Insider in the past before he writes the article
