"OK!" Rayale followed after the other boy with a grin as his arm was seized, glancing around to make sure they weren't about to get in trouble... yet. There was really something to be said for the degree of camaraderie you got by feeling this, well, conspiratorial. Although somehow he thought they would probably be tasked with Undoing every single knot they tied.

That was half the fun anyway! Sneaking along a little, Sovann finally ambled along with Rayale in tow, very pleased to have mischief to get up to. "So... where should we look in stores?" It was sure to be a more, hmm, mundane item, right? Every day? Work related, for sure. Not fabric or hide, or anything like that. Hmmm. Careening along, he stopped when he reached their destination, and then he paused. "Where should we look first, Rayale?" He got the feeling that the other boy had been there longer than he had, and he wasn't so sure where to look, honestly. Shells but there were a lot of crates around here!

"Uhhh." Rayale made thoughtful noises as he scanned the crates and containers, and made a few interesting faces also, wandering in further to look things over. "...I wouldn't think it would be in a crate but maybe... maybe they hung it up...tunnel-snakes and all..." He said thoughtfully, scanning for hooks, or coils of rope. They -had- to have rope around here somewhere didn't they?

Sovann glanced around, trying to find a length of rope along the wall. Finally, his eyes caught on a coil of rope that was being used to keep the bulging contents of a crate inside, and he grinned, shooting Rayale a look. "What do you think? Should we use that rope, or should we go looking for some that's not in use?" It seemed to him that giving his fellow seaman the decisions here might help to bolster what was to his mind an appalling lack of self confidence. After all, what was wrong with Rayale that he was so self conscious? Silly lad. Sovann had no such worries... or at least not ones that he was inclined to display just now. "We're bound to get in some amount of trouble if we get caught, but then again, we will be anyway if we're caught. Candidatemaster Z'nal has it out for me, you know," he all but bragged. The candidate had a special soft spot for the grouchy Candidatemaster.

"Um...lets look for some thats not being used. I don't think I want to clean up whatever pops out of that container on top of whatever else he makes us do." Rayale considered, prodding at the container to see what was inside. "Why does he have it out for you?"

Sovann grinned slightly, shrugging his shoulders. "Well, all right, he doesn't really have it out for me. Actually, I just got in trouble for mixing up a special brew of klah with my friend Okassis at the Klah-Off that we held. He made us clean the latrines for a week straight! That wasn't really all that bad, see. After you've cleaned them the first time, they get easier to clean. I doubt we'll have to do that, though." They were unlikely to get in trouble, weren't they? Peering about the room, he tried to find an unused rope. "Do you think that they might be toward the back?"

"Either that or on a wall peg. I don't know if they have a problem with tunnel rats chewing on them or anything." He admitted, heading toward the back of the storage room anyway, peering into lidded boxes and checking the walls. "And to keep us out of them probab...oh hey! Here's some!"

"I was beginning to wonder if the Weyr had invested in rope at all," Sovann joked, going to see what Rayale was talking about. "I would think in a Weyr rats would be an unlikely problem, but then again, maybe dragons just don't bother with them? I don't know much about that kind of thing anyway." Hardly anything at all, if he were to be truthful. "So, shall we have that contest, hmm?"

Rayale shrugged, hefting his prise, a thick coil of rope. "I don't know, I haven't seen any, but I imagine it probably happens occasionally?" He offered. "Lets do it. Should we go find someplace out of the way? I might keep us from getting caught, unlike say, hanging out in a supply closet." He grinned again, though he was thinking his brothers would have gleefully aranged to shut them in here.

"Fine, fine. If you insist upon not getting caught," Sovann said mournfully, and unashamedly went about tugging Rayale back the way they had come. "Hmm, maybe if we go down by the lake it won't be so bad to get caught... other than that, I've got no ideas. Candidate barracks, maybe?" Or somewhere else, somewhere that Sovann had no considered. It was not as though he really knew the layout of the Weyr well enough to know all of its nooks and crannies. Then again, even if he had known it was entirely possible that he would've preferred to remain in stores.
