BlueLuva1 I remember watching an interview on one of the official Backstreet Boys video tapes I have. Howie was asked about how girls were either fans of Backstreet Boys or Nsync. Howie responded with something on the lines of, "Why can't they like both?" How sweet and that's why we call him Sweet D. Yeah, I mean I liked both of them. I still do. I grew up listening to both and I really didn't even consider them rivals until now. Although, when it comes to songs, I like more BSB then Nsync, but it doesn't mean you can't like both.

Exactly my point. I think I liked BSB a lot more than Nsync because we got to know BSB more. All I really know about Nsync is their songs and all of their names. I don't know anything else really and truly. Does anyone else agree with me on this one question

Nsync is their biggest rival. Growing up, I listened to BSB and Nsync. I love them both but BSB are better (in my opinion). I was never a HUGE Nsync fan like I am for the BSB.

Okay so we have established that Nsync, back in the day were their main threat of competition. But what about now! Do you think that New Kids On The Block are still main threat for the success? I heard that LFO are coming back ... and if the Jackson Five come back on tour (in memory for their brother) will they just run over the Boys efforts with This Is Us? What do you think?

It was definatly Nsync. Hands down.
I actually met them (Nsync) before they were famous at Disney. XD Random I know, but them and BSB were in constant musical battle over the top ten or something like that. That's how I remember it at least...

NKOTB have nothing on BSB, whatsoever. They have publicly dissed the Backstreet Boys, and I think they even called them "washed up" when, have they looked in a mirror lately question I always found NKOTB to be a complete joke. LFO never had that much success in the 90's so I don't think them coming back would be anything to be worried about. The Jackson Five reunion is kind of expected with Michael's death so I don't think it's much of a surprise. I think the only thing that could "run over the Boys efforts," as you so nicely put, starbunnie, would be if Elvis came out with a new album. I think we have nothing to fear. ^_^

It would have been wicked cool if Michael was alive to do the Jackson Five Tour (I was gonna score some tickets for that one ..damn it!). But yeah, I guess there's nothing to worry about besides how Jive manages the group from now on. I still can't wait for them album. Oct feels like forever! crying

It seems to me like the management is making really poor decisions. Everyone has basically already heard the album and they're still releasing the album in October question It doesn't make any sense to me. It seems like sabotage to me. Does anyone else feel this way question I'm just putting it out there.

O well at least we're getting an album from company. The boys we don't have to worry so much about. Its just getting an album from the company seems like a mission and a half. Stupid Jive, but they can bring out crappy albums and artist like no tomorrow over there. I think they just don't realize the amount of talent that they actually have at the record company. If they aren't to careful in how they treat them, the company could loose a lot of money.

And this isn't the first time the boys have been screwed over by Jive. The whole Johnny Wright thing which then lead into Nsync and all the stuff that went on with that. What kind of record company is this question You'd think they'd want to make money instead of losing it. *rolls eyes*

Don't forget about 98degrees, either! They were awesome, too. They were definitely another rival, though, i agree N*SYNC was a bigger one simply because they appealed to guys and girls alike.
