chaudblaze I've heard people say that male flute players are gay, which frankly, I don't get. As a matter of fact, I am one. huh? Are you a guy flute player or a gay flute player?

tubas- either a little heavy, or really really small with a huge lung capacity. Really really really smart, and sarcastic doesn't practice very hard, but is really good

Marching Band no Jutsu This is all my opinion. Flute: Either uber-hot or just plain annoying. Clarinet: Emo girl or nerdy guy Saxophone: Weird or pimp French horn: Smart girl or skater guy Oboe: Asian kid. Trumpet: Really smart guy or girl who's just in band to get out of P.E. Trombone: Cool kids only. Baritone: Trombone players who like to play other instruments or a kid who has to write note names on the music Tuba: Emo kid or former trombone player. Percussionist: Either really cool or a pothead. for horn, the guys in our section are really random, one is captain of the football team (he's the funniest guy ever but in a nice flakey jock way) but he's not the best player, the other is a really smart guy whose a little nerdy, he's pretty good but he's full of himself sometimes. He's cooled off though now that all state is over

penguins_are_awesome265 Trombones are the biggest perverts I resent that. I really resent that. Especially because in my school, its not us (the three trombones) who are the perverts. Its the clarinets and trumpets. The quiet clarinets and the one quiet (and most perverted, as far as I can tell) trumpet. They're the perverted ones. Although, kind of unfortunately, they're also my friends. JUST TO GET THIS CLEAR: trombones are awsome!!! the star trombone in the high school (btw, my high school's marching band is rated 3rd in the U.S. X3 go cutters!!) dyed her hair blue, and the star trombone in the middle school (yes, that would be me!!) dyed her hair purple. Because we're just that awesom whee

oh, and by the way, people who say that male flute players are gay, one of my favorite flute players (one of my best friends) quit because people made fun of him. stop the negative comments about it! it makes me sad to think of why he quit cuz he was realy good...

niutiu i always hear of saying that the clarinet section is usually loud and obnoxious
in my band, the clarinet section is pretty quiet and normal
in marching band though, when I'M in the clarinet section...... hahaha not so quiet
most stereotypes about my section that i've heard aren't all the true in my case
bass clarinets... quiet, calm, etc
yeah right

Trumpets: Think they're cool and almost never shut up. They're constantly making dirty jokes
Trombones: possibly bisexual, very perverted and always hitting on band girls. They play as loud as they can and it's pretty annoying
Altos: nerdy and can't get dates, so like everyone else, they hit on band members. It's just not that affective
Tenors: Opposites of each other. None are the same. They're pretty weird
Clarinets: Half are very shy. The other half are the school sluts.
Flutes: Same as the clarinets
percussionists: rude and the best looking in band, beside the trumpets.( so they think) Very conceited.

My Band:
Director: Crazy
Drum Major (me): commanding, leader
Flutes: flighty
clarinets: no clue wat's goin on
Sax: oblivious to direction
Trumpets: cocky
Baritones: gay/bi
Trombone: quiet
Tuba: Loud & fun
Percussion: on their own beat... lol

director- crazy
tubas-heavy stupid but good at playing the tuba
clarinets- either shy or extremely talkitive
F.horn- Soft spoken
Basson- Are naturally high
Trumpets- think they're the best
Low brass- nice but stupid
Saxophones- Good and funny but doesn't practice much
Percussion- Nice kind and weird
that's all i can think of at the moment this is stereo type and my band i'm in
