Had she actually accepted the healing faes help? It was hard to tell. However, she did seem to be better, whether she had fixed it herself with a little bit of advice or if the faes had gotten annoyed enough with her questioning that they shushed her and did it themselves. "I'm good. You better now?" Maybe now that he was better, she could go hunt down that moron who had done this to him in the first place. There were several words for that moron that she would save until she could say them to his face.

Esmée cracked her knuckles behind her back, attempting to keep the expression that showed she wanted to kill off of her face. Instead, she replaced it with a mildly feigned smile. "You seem to be. Those faes were working on you for a little while there."

Fernand, in the meantime, had managed to look adorable enough for the faes that some of them had fetched the hungry penguin some fish. Happily, he sat near Esmée, eating the fish. The fish was even better than usual!

He nodded, he was fine. "Yes, I'm fine." He ran a hand shakily though his hair. Even his torn wing was fixed while they were getting the rest of his injured body parts.

"Esmee, I love you, but you're not going to go track down Seraphim." He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her closely. "You've seen what he's done to me, twice now. You're not going to be subjected to his torture for even one second. Much as we want him dead for what he's done, we should be the bigger people." Much against his better judgement. Though Esmee's safety was more important to him than getting revenge on Phim for everything he'd done.

Hey, she hadn't even said anything about that. She just cracked her knuckles was all. Maybe they had just been feeling a little stiff. Though Bneut gathered her and told her that he wanted to be the bigger person, Esmée pulled away and laughed. "Oh please, don't give me that 'we're the bigger people' bullshit." Well, since he had noticed her want to destroy Seraphim, there wasn't a need to pretend she had gotten over it.

Because she hadn't. And she probably wouldn't. "You, just as badly as I do, want to go punt him into next millenium. Now, dear, I know you don't want me getting hurt, but I could always use the age-old joke that I'm rubber, and what he does can't hurt me." Not totally true, but she was a lot harder to even catch in her rubbery state.

Fernand watched, eating his fish. He was contented enough with his fish that he wasn't going to butt into their fight. Besides, perhaps it was good that his charge and her mate discussed these things a little more.

"Honestly Esmee, he didn't even need to touch me to make me loose my hearing. He can do the same thing to you regardless of how rubbery you are." He pleaded. Bneut was willing to do anything he could think of to keep her from going near her.

"I want him dead, but there are far worse things than just beating him up that we can do without letting you get near enough to get hurt or go deaf."

Far worse things? Like? She thought physically maiming him was definitely one of the worst things they could possibly do when it came to Seraphim. Perhaps they could cut his vocal cords out, so he could no longer do that deafening scream. That sounded fun. She certainly had the scientific knowledge to pull it off. The smile on her face looked unnaturally murderous, and it even frightened her familiar a little, who started eating his fish a little slower.

"Esmée," offered Fernand, suddenly fearful for his charge's safety, or perhaps of what she might actually be thinking of doing, "maybe you should stop plotting and listen to what Bneut has to say."

Fernand's nervous voice brought Esmée out of her morbid mood long enough to pay attention to Bneut's ideas again. "Alright, what can we do, then, that's better than killing him entirely?"

"Thank you Fernand." While he couldn't hear what the penguin had said, he was fairly certain that it was him that had brought her sanity back for the moment.

"It looked like he was carrying some gems when he found me, which probably means he was doing the same thing I was... We can find his fiancee and take her from him. I'm sure whoever she is would be grateful.." He suggested. "We could also make him suffer beyond belief."

He had a fiancee? Ew. Why was a good question, and although she didn't say anything at first, her face twisted into shock and disbelief. It, in fact, took her a minute to recover from her brain going into an infinite loop of confusion and bafflement. When she did, her smile returned to that vicious one she was wearing earlier. "Yes, yes, we should take his fiancee away. That'll make him suffer." Now the question was, who was the fiancee?

Admittedly, she wasn't too concerned about the fiancee herself, or himself, at the moment. Esmée was more concerned with making Seraphim suffer for all he had ever done to the man she loved more than anything.

The penguin gave one of his vague nods before returning to eating. While his charge still looked like she was ready to kill something, at least she had a less deadly plan in mind this time...

"Though we have to be considerate of the other, we've got nothing against Seraphim's fiancee." He reminded her, much happier that Esmee had agreed that it was okay to go with this plan rather than murder. "If the other party doesn't want to be saved from that b*****d, we'll think of something quickly and make him suffer just as much."

He gently pet Fernand. "It makes everyone happy Fernand. She'll be much safer this way." He offered a small smile to the penguin.

When Bneut that 'the other' might not want to actually be saved, she rolled her eyes. "Please. If they don't want to be saved, they've got a major case of Stockholm Syndrome. That man doesn't deserve to have anyone, and I don't think anyone in their right mind would want to be with him anyway." A Pae'il who treated others that badly couldn't be much nicer to their love; in fact, signs like that were usually signs to stay away entirely.

Esmée had agreed to Bneut's idea, but she was going to make sure they followed through with it properly. Even if the so-called other party didn't want to leave. If that was true, they were definitely messed up in the head somehow; Esmée wouldn't accept any other answer. They were talking about Seraphim here.

Fernand glanced up to Bneut before returning to eating his fish. He seemed to be fine with what they were planning now that it no longer seemed to be life-threatening to his charge. In fact, to some extent, he agreed with it.

He chuckled lightly. "That's true." He didn't like the thought of another pae actually wanting to be with Seraphim. He honestly didn't think it was possible either. "I'm sure his significant other will be happy if we take them away from him."

Since the idea was settled, he pulled Esmee into his arms. He could wait for Fernand to finish eating his fish. Bneut wasn't in too much of a rush for revenge. It was usually best to take your time and draw it out to cause as much suffering as possible.

"Of course they will," said Esmée, before being swept into Bneut's arms. Though the glint in her eyes was remarkably unlike the any of her usual expressions in an unusual show of pure maliciousness, the angelic certainly wasn't aiming that look at Bneut. She snuggled close to her demonic and wrapped her arms around him in turn.

She could wait. She could lie in wait and watch the time go by, waiting for the perfect time to strike and break Seraphim's heart, like a vicious leopard, or perhaps like one of those awful spiders that killed their mates when they were done with them...

Fernand glanced at Esmée with a tilted head, but he didn't say anything to his charge, instead grabbing at another fish.

He noticed the glint in her eyes, though he wasn't going to point out that it was there. Esmee was already touchy enough on the subject. Though Bneut feared that she was going to do something rash if they didn't act soon, even though they had agreed on waiting some time before striking.

It wasn't often he felt like he was what he was, a demon, but this was one of those times he did. While there was no hint to this particular emotion, he was quite ready to go stalk and wait for Phim to leave that mate of his unattended. It would be well worth it.

Esmée had never been too angelic in the first place. She had certainly always had a meaner streak, and as nice as she was towards Bneut, Esmée in general was a bit more neutral than anything else, more concerned about her studies than much else. However, her malicious side usually wasn't something that came to the surface as it was doing now. Seraphim had gotten a little too close to Bneut and injured him too much... twice.

Needless to say, she was going to have a lot of fun with this. And if the mate didn't want to leave, she didn't particularly care.
