However, once out of that range, he can control the average pony for three hours at the most though oftentimes less. He must initiate contact within 30 feet though.

Story: Inebar took up with Veles and Hawthorne in their mountain abode. He had become bored and desired companions. He quickly became one of them though always a bit on the outside.
Veles sent out Inebar to breed and bring back children. After having a short lived fling with Natalia ((Angelique's)), of which little is known of his true feelings on the matter, he plans to go back and retrieve half of the children after their birth.
The vacation almost over, Inebar found Nameera stowed away. At once, he was strongly attached to the small child and decided to protect her innocent nature. After discovering her migratory family had left the area for the year, he decided to take her home with him and return her to her family in a year.
He devised a back story for her to keep her safe--She is the daughter of evil merponies seeking to learn his dark ways as an apprentice.

Story: Talked to by Aine, she fell in love with the Earth ponies and stowed away on the ship. Several days later, Inebar found her. Too far away to take her back to her home, he decided to take her to his mountain home.
She now pretends to be the daughter of evil merponies who sent her with Inebar to learn his wicked ways.
The real plans are to take her back to her family one year from now.

He is a relative of the Prince and Paris, and is a close friend of Romeo, and Romeo's cousin Benvolio. The invitation to the Capulet's party states that he has a brother named Valentine. Mercutio is apt to make long, drawn out speeches (the most famous of which is the Queen Mab speech), and is generally thought to be reckless, a jokester, and a free spirit. Due to his quick wit and flamboyant, affable personality, Mercutio is one of Shakespeare's most popular characters. Though one of Romeo's best friends, Mercutio's facetious attitude tends to try Romeo's patience on occasion; conversely, Mercutio is frustrated with Romeo's depression that comes from Rosaline's denial of Romeo's love. After Romeo has fallen for Juliet, Mercutio is pleased to see Romeo back to his normal, congenial state, though he is unaware of Romeo's relationship with Juliet. After Romeo receives a death threat from Tybalt, Mercutio expects Romeo to engage Tybalt in a duel. However, Romeo refuses to fight Tybalt, as Tybalt is Juliet's cousin and therefore his kinsman. Not knowing this, Mercutio is incensed, and decides to fight Tybalt himself. Romeo, not wanting his best friend or his relative to get hurt, intervenes, causing Mercutio to be killed by Tybalt stabbing "under [Romeo's] arm." Before he dies, Mercutio casts "a plague o' both your [that is, Romeo and Tybalt's] houses!"(he says this three times to make it official) He makes one final pun before he dies: "Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man...." In revenge for the murder of his best friend, Romeo slays Tybalt, thus leading to Romeo's banishment from Verona and the increasingly tragic turn of events that follows.

A reincarnated being from Ancient Arabia. She lived in Samara and made a deal with with death for the healing of her lover. If his life was saved, she would become a soul collector after her death. He got better, but she became very sick and died within a month afterward and found herself a collector of souls. She can sense death and has certain time appointments and people to meet for death.
Death has become heavily dependable on Samara. She's never missed an appointment....yet.
This brilliant little tale by Somerset Maugham seems a good analogy to predestination. This by the way, is the shortest short story ever written.

In a trembling voice he said, "Just now in the market place I was jostled by a man in the crowd, and when I turned I saw it was Mr. Death. He looked at me and made a threatening gesture. Please lend me your horse, because I want to go to Samara where Mr. Death will not be able to find me." The merchant agreed and lent the scared man his horse. The servant mounted the horse and rode away as fast as the animal could gallop. Later that day, the merchant went down to the market place and saw Mr. Death standing in the crowd. He approached him and said, "Why did you make a threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning?" "That was not a threatening gesture," said Mr. Death. "It was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Baghdad, because I have an appointment with him tonight in Samara." Note: Vania Rodrigues, an internet friend and a story-teller in Brazil, sent me this story. I titled and rewrote the story in parts, but it is based on the story of author, Somerset Maugham.
