Addy nodded vigorously. Of course she was accustomed to staying up all night. She'd done it several times in defiance of her mother telling the two of them to go to bed before Addy was good and ready. Although the next day had naturally suffered. She usually got a note sent home, telling her mother that she'd slept in class. And Japi was too smart not to know what had happened.
Lilly on the other hand was used to going to bed at a decent hour every day, but her mother had made them take a nap--not that Addy had complied--earlier that day so she'd be able to stay up better. Lilly knew that her mother knew best and was confident she'd be able to stay up too.
The movie was starting and they were all enthralled. Addy was excited to see the action. She'd heard there was lots of web-slingin' in this one and wanted to see her favorite superhero swinging from all those buildings.
"Mommy said not to sit so close," Lilly reminded her sister, breaking the atmosphere a bit.
Addy had been leaning in and Lilly's hand was on her arm, pulling her back a little. Addy gave her sister a mental shove and Lilly stuck her lower lip out. Addy finally complied and scooted back a bit further.

Kids, they liked to interrupt the best things. He rolled his eyes before giving his wife a lop sided grin and patting a hand against her cheek. "After they pass out." Besides, the more kids waited, the more they whined. Thusly he broke out the sports bottles...they held a lot and had lids so the kids couldn't spill. Two were filled with a blood/soda mix and the other two were filled with soda of their choice for the other two girls. Waiting for the popcorn that Sam threw into the mircrowave, he dumped some into one bowl and the rest into another. The bigger bowl and the sports bottles were brought to the kids. "Here you go guys, are you going to be set now?"
She was happy that their friends seemed to be doing okay in the not tired department and took things from her father, passing them around to each of the kids. "Mommy says it's bad for your eyes if you sit too close, but I don't know why." Shrugging before poking her brother. "Turn it up."

She shared that look and then chuckled. How long had it been since it had just been the two of them without worries or fears? Quite a while since the twins had a bad habit of waking them up at all hours of the night. Beyond that, of course, was the fact that they both worked screwed up hours and really didn't have a whole lot of time to just be together as husband and wife. At least not in the sexual department. But that was a promise that she intended to make sure he kept and she told him so. "I'm holding you to it." She let him handle passing things out and popped another bag of popcorn for a movie of their own in the living room.
"You'll go blind. But you won't if you eat carrots." Which didn't make a whole lot of sense to him but mommy was a doctor and she knew these kinds of things. "I'm working on it. The music gets too loud sometimes and I don't want Daddy yelling at us." Because they knew the rules and knew they only had so many "strikes" as his mother liked to call them before things were taken and they were in trouble. Pressing the button to increase the volume, he plopped on his stomach and took a bite of popcorn watching the action on the screen.

"I like carrots," Lilly commented. But she liked popcorn too. She grabbed a large handful and sat eating a piece at a time, making sure to chew with her mouth closed.
Addy shushed her sister mentally. Seriously, they were watching a movie. Addy wasn't interested in the popcorn so much herself, but she ate some anyway and drank some of her soda to wash it down. She then copied Tobi and layed down on her chest propped up on a pillow.
Lilly stayed quiet throughout the movie, unless of course the others decided to talk, which happened now and then. During the kissing scene, they all play acted like it was gross, or at least she figured it was play-acting. That kind of thing didn't bother Lilly any, after all.
That kind of thing did bother Addy, though. "Eeeeww," she groaned. Spiderman shouldn't be kissin' girls, when he needed to be killin' badguys.

Of course it was a show of faces and what not over cooties and such things like that. Kissing was something that just looked like it wasn't fun. Your noses got poked in each other's faces and everything. Besides, how did you even do that kind of stuff upside down? What if he fell? Then she'd be kissing feet and in her opinion, feet were icky. Drinking down some of her blood she set down her sports bottle and patiently waited until everyone was immersed in the movie...and play tackled Addy where she lay. Licy had a short attention span sometimes, and her brain thought this would be more fun now.

Toby had always been much better at sitting still for any length of time than his sister was. But even he got bored when he'd seen the movie at least five times since they'd brought it home. He glanced over as his sister was in a playful roll-fight with Addy and shook his head then joined in as well, tugging on Lici to pull her off. "Come on, Lilly! You gotta help me!" He leaned down and picked Lici up, carrying her off the couch and plopping her there then sitting in front of Addy because he knew his sister wasn't likely to stop.
Despite being engaged in other activities at the moment, the mother in her always had her ears attuned to the family room where the four children she was currently responsible for were ensconced. And when a rather loud thud shook the nicknacks, she pulled back, glanced at her watch, and patted her husband's chest to get his attention. "Xe, they need to be settling down and going to sleep. Go play dad."

Addy let out a play yelp as she was tackled and giggled loudly. This kind of thing was way more fun than watching a movie. She rolled over, tussling with Lici until Toby and Lilly lifted her off.
Lilly didn't agree with the other two girls and laughed nervously as she helped Toby. Addy was being loud after all and she knew the parents wouldn't be happy.
Addy wasn't sure she was going to let it be over, but she sat and started watching the movie again. It was almost over and she wanted to see how it would finish. Then she'd finish their little wrestling match.

She gave a squeal at being carted around, a feat that most children at their age struggled with but for them it was nothing special and in fact common place that they picked one another up fully off the ground and playfully tossed each other around. Though she did calm down as it seemed others wanted to see the end of the movie. She was done with the movie and had turned her attention to the two fluffy heads that poked in, petting at them.
"Why do I have to be the bad guy. You get that job next time." Getting himself up he wanderd out to the kids, laughing somewhat at the dogs that were half in half out of their fortress and peeking in at them just as the credits were rolling. "Hey guys, need to settle down. Get some sleep too and I'll make you a really big breakfast in the morning." He'd hate getting up in the day time hours but he was used to it by now.

Lilly immediately obeyed. She went to her sleeping bag and sat on it, waiting for the others to settle down too. She knew she couldn't just go to sleep right now. She knew better than to be the first one to sleep when all the others still had plenty of energy and she certainly didn't trust her sister not to play tricks on her.
Addy had different things on her mind than sleeping or pranking. She wasn't done with the little tussle with Lici earlier. She waited patiently, nodding at her friends' daddy until he left. Then she made her way, as stealthily as a little girl her age could, around to the other side of her friend and attempted a retaliatory pounce.

Satisfied that they were going to settle down, and yet knowing that they weren't going to for a while yet he grinned. "Just no tossing." And thus he headed back to his own entertainment room with his wife, to pick up on activities he found more fun. The dogs would watch them.
Lici stifled a squeal as she was pounced and immediately took to play fighting back, though much to the excitment of the dogs who joined them and started snuffling and licking at the lot of them, looking to soothe them all and play at the same time.

Thobias got involved, scrapping with all of them and was pretty impressed that Addy could hold her own as well as she could. He knew he had to be careful because his father had told him in no uncertain terms that it was never okay to hit a girl and he'd be in BIG trouble if he ever did.
Another hour passed and she and Xearus had teased each other to the point of no return while their own movie was finished and she whispered something naughty into his ear and then sashayed her way to the family room, well aware of her husband's gaze on her the entire time. "Alright, kids. It's time to really settle down and sleep." Bending down to tuck her own twins in with kisses, hugs, and whispered phrases, she gave Lily and Addy the same treatment. Smoothing sleeping bags, tousling hair, and then clicking off the lights. "Go to sleep, kids. No more playing or talking." And back to chase her husband up the stairs to play their own tussling games.

Though she enjoyed the playfighting, a second warning was all Addy needed to realize the parents hadn't timed their warnings with the end of the movie and they were being a little too loud. With a few proddings from Lilly through their telepathic link, she finally laid down on her own sleeping bag.
Lilly stayed out of the whole thing, knowing that her sister could get a little rough at times. She knew her friends could handle her wily sister easily, but she knew getting involved herself could lead to injury and it would most certainly be her crying in pain. Addy always called her a wimp for it, but Lilly had always been sensitive to that kind of thing. Her mother had always said it was because she was 'delicate as a flower' and she was much more content with that explanation.
She realized she was falling asleep finally while thinking about her friends, her sister, and her mother. That was a good thing.
It took Addy a little while to shut out all the sleeping voices around her, but her training with Uncle Sekenre was paying off and she was asleep quickly, ready for more playtime in the morning.
