"You will have to tell me eventually, after you introduce me to the girls." He nodded slightly. It was a bit odd to think that while so much was still the same that so much had changed.
He had a feeling it was going to be another adventure getting himself and Tapanga settled into life with the pride again. "The Mlfame ... they will be joining us?" He needed to speak to at least one of them

"They usually do, unless they're the ones guarding the borders when the hunt returns. Some of the young ones are finally old enough that they can take their own turns, but that still leaves us a few warriors short when it comes to keeping the Mfalme closer to home." She didn't think that they minded, at least. She was starting to feel more and more like Rasi enjoyed lingering by the borders and Shujaa appreciated his solitary time.

"Well hopefully i can catch one of them. I would like to introduce Tapanga to them". He smiled softly as he nuzzled his mate. It would be better to introduce her now rather than waiting until they heard word she was around.

"If neither of them come back you can always be the one to take their meal out to them. Me? I get to go fetch Auri and the little ones... Find me later, alright?" Her brow lofted as she glanced at him once before turning to trot in the direction she should've wandered in before.
"Making sure everyone knows who I am?" Her brow lofted slightly as she glanced at her mate once Mwindaji was gone.

"It's what we do around here." He nodded with a smile. "The Mlfame like knowing who everyone is so they know who they are protecting. It's one way everyone feels like family."
It was easier to care about your fellow pride members if you actually knew who they were.
"If the two of you don't mind. I am going to help the huntresses bring the kill down." It usually took a bit of effort to actually get the food to everyone and he enjoyed helping.

"It is going to be strange... Getting used to that; being around so many different others. Are you sure that I belong here, Dynatos?" Her brow furrowed slightly as she stepped back away from her mate, startling when she bumped into someone that she hadn't noticed approaching them.
"I doubt he would have brought you with him if he didn't think you would belong here." A smile curved the muzzle of the large, cream colored lion as he shook out his mane, chuckling softly. "I don't know a Kijana who has left to come back as an Asikari with a companion who did not belong here."

"Malfame Shujaa ..." He bowed his head slightly as he saw the elder of the Mlfame approaching. "I think you belong here Tapanga, it may take some work on both our parts but we can make a home together here." He smiled at her before looking back up to the king.
"Mlfame ... this is Tapanga, my mate."

He looked over to the lioness for a moment before bowing his own head slightly in a polite greeting. "Welcome to the Mzawa'kondo, Tapanga... And welcome home, Dynatos. It's good to see a familiar face returning alongside a new one. Have you eaten yet?"
She shook her head slowly. "No, we have not. We've been too busy talking... And introducing.

"Kichembe said he was going to help the huntresses. I had hoped we would get to eat with everyone else." It would be nice to catch up over a meal. "I am glad to see that you are well yourself and to hear that Rasi is also."

"We've all been doing what we can... But our numbers are growing slowly closer to what they once were. The next generation of warriors have been in training and they're about to be sent out for their tests..." He turned, leading the two back towards where everyone had joined to share their meal.
"Tests?" Her brow lofted slightly as she glanced at Dynatos, trying to remember if he'd mentioned that to her before.

"At least the others haven't been scared off from having children." That was a good thing. Hopefully he would also not be the last to return home.
Looking back at Tapanga he wondered how he could have forgotten that one. "When little ones finish their training they are given a test. Females are given charge of a hunt to see how well they have learned. Males are sent out of the pride for a month to survive on their own."

"Mm." He nodded slowly, closing his eyes for a moment to recall all of the recent births. "Mwindaji gave birth to three girls not long after returning from her quest to seek out Rasi's daughter... Nyatia gave us three little ones..." He paused for a brief moment, blue eyes dancing with amusement as they opened. "Now that I think of it, out of all of the returning lioness, there are only two who haven't given us cubs yet."
"Oh! Yes." She nodded, smiling with her own remembrance of the conversation they'd had moons ago. "That's what you'd told me you had been doing... Right?" Her brow lofted slightly as she looked to him for confirmation before glancing at Shujaa. "... So there are lots and lots of little ones?"

"Yes." he nodded. "That's what I'd been doing before .... before whatever happened here happened." It had been good he'd been away or he might have been caught up in the fight and may not have been able to return to help the pride now.
"It seems like it." Though the thought of Nyatia having cubs was a bit odd.

"Yes, there are... But they're all growing quickly, as I said. They're making the pride, and their families, proud." He grinned before stepping back. "If you'll excuse me... I'm going to go make sure that Arui has all of the little ones under control. Enjoy your meal... And welcome home."
Home. The word sounded strange, but it was there... And it had been extended to her as well. Smiling she tucked her head beneath Dynatos's for a moment before her stomach growled. "... Food now?"
