My own tuba likes to leak from underneath its valves and it really gets annoying to have to wipe up condensation from the tubing. -_-; And usually a lot comes out at once, so while I'm playing, I'll press either the first or second valve down and then a whole load of it comes flying out. Ugh. It's disgusting. >:

My flute leaks spit water from its Ab key... kinda gross... the more normal thing is that it leaks out the foot joint. I usually have wet spots on my knee in band class...

The only instrument that leaks spit on me is my Euphonium in concert band and it really is annoying because I produce a lot of spit in my horn when I play. It's just nasty.. Some of it gets caught on the bottom tubing so that makes it a little better.

my flute leaks out of the keys and the end (more from condensation than anything else, id assume)

Taikiko if you play for a while, and hard enough, it's natural for your instrument to leak. My bassoon leaks all over my hand from the lower holes yeah me too DX haha its kinda gross... especially the top one on the front (on the boot joint) the one you play with your right pointer XD Yeah they leak sometimes. I think it's funny. and gross. but funny~

It's not so bad when my Tuba cvalves leak (at the valves are upright and it doesn't get on me)
What's horrible is when my Sousaphone valves leak, because they press right up against my shirt. I always end up with a spit stain on the front of my shirt. It's so gross.

It's natural. Mine does the same thing. It's gross because the keys get all wet and I can't keep my fingers in the right place and I end up playing the wrong note on my saxophone.
It helps that when you play, you keep your back straight so the instrument won't lean forward, keeping the spit from leaking out the holes. It will just dribble down and collect in the bell. Drip out for clarinets, oboes, flutes, and piccolos.
But it is really gross when you tip your instrument over and it drips down and out the key holes.
Since you play the saxophone, open up the upper-right, right-hand pinky key. The one you use to play an Eb. Let the spit drip out from there when too much collects in the instrument. At least, that's what I do.

The spit in my trombone used to come flying out when ever i moved the slide too fast (ex. moving from low B natural to high D natural in sixteenth notes) but i fixed it.

My saxophone does that, too. But only from the keys, tho'; never from the bell, for some reason. confused
