If you/Nan would be interested, Westren is having his birthday, but not having a celebration.
I currently have a Rp going that takes place around that time, if you like that idea and want to toss her in: click (potential bonus could be Gold-Gold interaction).

Hey, Cheebs. xD Just some random trivia about Kesslan, my candidate.
She's definitely gay, and shows no interest in males whatsoever. [Doesn't date women, as she's a candidate, but you know, you know]
Also, she's been a candidate since she was fourteen, has yet to impress, and doesn't seem bothered.
She's weyr-born and raised, so I'm sure your lass knows plenty about her, including that her dashing twin brother Korist also loves the ladies and is a sucessful harper apprentice [who returns every hatching to watch his sister fail to impress on the sands]
... Oh, and she hangs out with Rinfala a lot, as they both are hardworkers. Rin's had rumors passed about her sexuality back home, though she afirms she's staunchly heterosexual.
And you know I'm down for any plots whatsoever. I'll be putting up Korist's profile soon, too.

Good luck finding gossip on Darcir but. . . . He is hold-bred and rather wealthy. He's a class A-workaholic, seems to come off as proud, and detests idle hands. He's very, very private so I'm no sure what other news she may find. . . Obviously not well liked by many because of his insanely introverted nature?
Um. . . . Oh yeah! He apparently has a wife-in-waiting back home picked out by his father for whenever he returns from the Weyr. He is by all means not very thrilled.

*affirms the bit about Rin* She is heterosexual, but as she's never had a serious relationship of that nature, rumors are bound to crop up (heh, found this out the hard way in highschool, I did).
Her gold firelizard, Shim, also laid a large clutch recently, with an 'unknown' father--she and Mal have been keeping it tightly under wraps that Aeron is the sire. The majority of these are up for 'grabs' in a betting pool run by the two for Candidates and riders alike to guess dragon colors.

Merik is a little eccentric; you'll be hard-pressed digging up any gossip that could upset him. Actually, he'd probably love hearing a rumor about himself. x)
He's cheery, but very thick in the head. And god does he babble: Balin and Darcir are his roomies, I don't think it could possibly annoy them more.
He was a Beastcraftsman before, and he's filthy more often than not~

lol Guys, posting that I'm going to be "hard pressed to find any rumours" about your character just makes me pass them up right away. Unless you're posting to tell me MY CHARACTER IS DOING MANY SCANDALOUS THINGS plz spread dis around or I RP with you and find something in the RP to spread around then I'm not making up material about boring candidates. XDDD I need like.... something to start off with but just telling me your character has brown hairs, brown eyes and a really nice smile doesn't exactly encourage me to try and find gossip about 'em. I need stuff that has happened in RPs or stuff like that.

...On the subject of ACTUAL SCANDALOUS THINGS.
Even though Lume is gone, Weylin still has his flitter, and the way he obtained it is still the same: he macked on Kaskel to win the egg. In the presence of a good number of witnesses (Nan can be an eyewitness if you want, whatever works). If Lume returns, I will flashback RP this, but it stands as fact now nonetheless. Also, he has recently been seen in the company of Candidate Natarsio, who was being EXTREMELY touchy-feely and babbling to Weylin about fashion at the time.
So feel free to have Nan spread my poor little inadvertent bishi's GHEY around. Particularly if she thinks she can set him up with someone. The more drama, the merrier.
Oh, and La has been following Cordel around like a lovesick puppy, dunno if you can do anything with that information.
EDIT: Elae is a witness to Weylin's snogging; just talked to Ferret. So Nan would DEFINITELY have heard. :3

OH. Here's scandal... Rin also impressed the Gold, confirming her heterosexuality. Is Kess heartbroken?! Was Rin just playing her?!
Kess's been seen in the company of Uuni, notorious minx [to quote Rinfala "that girl would hit on a rock"], will she lose interest, now that Kess has impressed?
WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO KYLLAE?
Oh, and the New Ista Work Force, which Kess refuses to let O'asis join.
