Riker finished skinning the deer and laid the skin carefully in a spot covered by sunlight so it would dry quicker. His ears twitched though as Adi asked him what he wanted to eat. "Umm..." Riker chuckled and shook his head, "I don't know really. There's so many different things to be made from deer meat!" His tail was already wagging like a puppy's, "What do you think, Adi?" He smiled brightly as he quickly added, "I'm sure what ever you think will be great!"

Aditya bit her lip. "I was thinking a stew maybe? I collected some roots this morning." she picked up her cloth bag hidden underneath a bush. "See? I was hoping I'd get to use these in a soup." she rummaged through the bag, "And the fat of the deer would make a nice base for the stew itself, and maybe some of the bones." she stuck her tongue out playfully.

Riker grinned and nodded with much enthusiasm. "Sure!" Already his paws were itching to run back to collect wood for the fire, "I'll go get the fire started." He nodded to the knife he left laying by the deer, "I cut some of it's meat up already, but there you go for the rest." With that he disappeared for more kindling. He soon reappeared with an armful and dumped it on the ground. From his hunting pack emerged flint and a small flare of fire started. "I'll go get more wood though!" He stated happily before turning back towards the woods.

Aditya's smile faded as she realized they had no pot. "...Oh my." she tilted her head wondering how to fix this...maybe she could run home and bring a pot. Her house wasn't that far anyways. She nodded, that wasn't such a bad idea! She took a small stick and carved into the ground, 'I'll be back. I just had to go get a pot.' and drew a smiley face next to it.
Aditya turned and ran straight for her home, did she need to bring anything else but a pot? She needed a wooden sppon and maybe some bowls as well. Riker was going to be so happy with the meal!

Riker came back with a load of wood and damp fur. On the way back the wolftaur had taken the time to visit the stream that ran through the woods and now his fur was it's usual white and golden color. His smile froze though as he found that Adi had left. "Adi?" He called out softly, worry in his voice. His paws scraped against the ground and when the wolftaur finally looked down all he could make out was, 'I'll be...I just had to go.'
A small howl escaped Riker's lips as he dropped the sticks, some rolling into the fire. Had he actually chased her off then? His ears dropped and his tail touched the ground as he looked mournfully at the deer. There wasn't any point in eating right now without Adi. His hunger left him and Riker settled for just curling up next to a tree, hidden in the shadows.

Aditya busted into her den, running around grabbing a pot and bowls. "Two spoons...two bowls" she muttered throwing them into the pot, she ran out of her house slamming the door behind her, running back into the forest.
Reaching the site, she was surprised Riker wasn't there yet. She shrugged and set down the pot, putting a bit of fat into it. "Oh...I forgot the water too..." Since Riker wasn't here yet, Aditya would just have to write another note. "Oh! Something scratched it out." she brushed it out anyway and wrote a new message. 'I forgot the water too! I'll be back though!' Picking up the pot, she left the side, humming to herself.

Riker's ears twitched, had someone come here? The scent was familiar...Adi! Riker's eyes snapped open and he rushed out towards the fire, but once more no one was there. His tail drooped once more as he realized that he probably just caught a stale scent.
Riker circled around the camp several times with his paws scrapping against the ground until he finally sat back down. This time though the wolftaur barely waited before jumping up. Determination flickered over his features as he sniffed out Adi's scent, following her paw steps. 'I'll apologize!' He thought nodding.

Aditya reached a small stream and crouched down with the pot. Rinsing it out a few times before filling it slowly with the cool water. Rising, she grunted as she picked up the pot. For such a small pot, it was quite heavy with all the water! Aditya tottered back to direction she had come from, trying in vain to keep the water from spilling over.
Walking a little further, she recognized a white wolftaur. "Oh! Oh! Riker!" he could help her carry the pot back!

It was just a couple of strides later that Riker was seriously beginning to doubt his decision. What if she called him a creep or something for following her? His eyes widened at the possibility and the wolftaur started to turn around right there.
But he had gotten distracted in his thoughts, and Riker found himself surprised by Adi calling out his name. His tail lashed out behind him and the wolftaur looked guiltily at Adi, "I'm sorry!" He yelped before starting to quickly turn around. 'Surely, she'll yell at me!' He thought about running just then but paused. Even if she did...he should at least hear what he had done to make her leave. Surely it wasn't just the hunting? Was it?

Aditya slowed down, blinking, "What are you so sorry about?" she tilted her head to the side. Was she offensive to him in some way? "Why are you running away? Help me with this pot!" she frowned, still thinking. She didn't seem to do anything wrong.

Baffled Riker turned to Adi with a frown, "What do you mean?" He asked finally into the silence, "You're the one who left and I was really worried and I didn't mean to upset you so of course I'm going to apologize! I don't want you to just go awa-"
Suddenly the wolftaur paused as realization hit him, "Wait...you didn't run away? But your message said that you had to leave..." His eyes widened and Riker felt his neck warming in a secret flush of embarrassment.

Aditya stared at him, and suddenly burst out into laughter. "Oh Riker! You silly!" she walked up him and handed the pot to him. "This is kinda heavy...do you mind holding it?" she giggled. "I guess dirt wasn't the best thing to write on was it?"

Riker took hold of the pot before sheepishly hanging his head. "I guess it wasn't." He muttered though he wasn't angry with Adi. More of a mix feeling was directed at himself, especially for being so silly. Of course he had messed the message up with his careless pacing.
But happiness at the whole thing just being a small understanding made Riker's smile light back up. "Let's get going then!" He called out carrying the pot with ease as he moved back towards their camp at a fast pace.

Aditya trotted, still giggling. Oh Riker was too cute! "I hope the pot isn't too heavy. I was having trouble carrying it." She slowed down, recognizing the camp not too far away. She suddenly felt extremely hungry as her stomach quietly grumbled. "Let's get to cooking! I'm so hungry!"

"It's fine, I'm used to carrying heavy things." Replied Riker lightly as he reached the camp. His tail wagged showing his eagerness for the meal, "Yes, let's!" He laughed before looking at Adi, "So where...do you want this?" Riker held out the pot questioningly.
