Logan smiled and grabbed Bennie's hand. He led her to the edge of the water, then a thought hit him. He turned and smiled at her mischeviously, "Yeah, I guess I am pretty lucky that you're wearing a sundress..." he said. Then he grabbed her and tossed her into the water, laughing. "Because I can do that." Then, Logan jumped into the water after her, swimming to her in just a few strokes.

With a squeal and a splash, Bennie sunk beneath the chilly surface of Lake Erie. She wrestled her way free of the clingy dress as she broke the surface. With a good throw, she landed the dress back on the beach and she glared at Logan. "Jerk. That's one of my favorite ones." Her feet lingered just above the sandy bottom. Something scaly brushed her foot and she gasped. "And tell your fish friends to leave my feet alone." A swipe of her hand to the surface and a splash of water rained down on Logan. She grinned and dove down, swimming out. Bennie was fully aware she could never out swim Logan, she'd been aware of this since they were young, but she never failed to try when they went for a swim.

Swimming after Bennie, Logan called to the fish around him, After her! Soon, at leat fifty fish were darting around Bennie. Logan quickly closed the distance between the two and took Bennie's hand. He dismissed the fish, and instead formed the picture of a large bubble in his head. The familiar feeling in his gut informed him he was using his power when a large, air filled bubble circled around the two. "Come on, I want you to see what I see." he told her, leading their bubble down towards the bottom of the lake.

A gasp escaped Bennie as they submerged and she gaped at the sight around her. Through the murky lake water, she could clearly make out schools of fish, and long strands of seaweed. Bubbles slipped around the sides of the bubble they stood in, bubbles from fish below them. They seemed to swarm around them, either attracted to the strange sight or the son of Poseidon now in their world. She couldn't see as far as she'd like, but what she could see without the blur of water in her eyes was truly unique. Not beautiful, but unique. Nothing as dirty as lake Erie could be beautiful, but it was peaceful and she felt welcomed to the underwater world standing next to Logan. "This is amazing, Logan."

Logan turned to Bennie and smiled. "You should see what the actual ocean looks like." he told her. Then, he directed the bubble back up to the surface where it popped and they could breath again. Logan directed the water to carry them back to the shore through a strong current. When they floated up to the sand, Logan turned to Bennie and asked, "So how was it in France?"

Laying herself out on the wet sand, Bennie smiled in Logan's direction. The waves licked her face and such as she lay motionless, thinking. "It wasn't that great." Her lips parted just above the water as it flowed in, then left her skin to chill as the current pulled back. "I was bored a lot. Did a bunch of reading. Mingled in coffee shops the first few days. Saw some extraordinary places. But it got old about a month in. I had no excitement. I did all my studies online, and they were of no use to entertain me. So I wandered a lot. I spent time tanning on my back patio, cleaned, studied, all the usual. it would've been better if you'd gone with me. At least then my birthday wouldn't have been spent reading books in the den." She smiled sweetly, "Next time, go with me." Her eyes scanned him gingerly, almost longingly, "How was your year though? It had to have been better than mine."

Logan lay next to Bennie on his stomach, letting the waves crash over his back, lifting him up slightly. "Wow, you didn't go to the school in Bordeaux?" he asked, "Oh, how did you like my present?" he asked with a smile. Logan has sent Bennie a necklace with a silver chain and three small aquamarines that he had had to find tooth and claw over. He'd gotten a Hepheastos boy to make it then sent it via Hermes Packaging. "You know I can't go with you, Bennie. I start College next year!" he reminded her. "I visited UM a lot, it's giong to be great to live in Miami again." he said with a small smile, "I'll also be able to be close the the Sea of Monsters if anything happens." Lately there had been reports of monsters acting up in the Sea but he didn't want to bother Bennie with that when she'd just gotten back.

"Nope, school in Bordeaux is very different form ours, so I just did a bunch of online courses." She flashed a brilliant smile at Logan, thinking of the necklace she had tucked away in her trunk. "I didn't fly with it on because I didn't want to lose it in the airport or anything. Then I forgot to put it on when I got here. But I love it. It means more to me than you probably know." She let her smile tone down and reflect her gratitude, "I never got to properly thank you for it." Turning over and sitting up, the young woman watched the water. "And I can't believe you're going to college after this summer. It's unbelievable. You're getting so old, Logan."

Logan sighed softly, "College is going to be really lonely though, like this year. I only really had the Naiads for company when I went swimming." Logan looked over to see a group of girls in bikinis giggling and waving at Logan, obviously flirting with him. "The Naiads in Virginia Beach weren't so clingy though..." he muttered. "I got to help my mom around the lab a bit though, that was cool. I also was a counselor for this summer camp thing in North Carolina." he explained.

A spark of jealous shot through Bennie, those stupid Naiads. She smiled sweetly at Logan, "I'll come see you lots this year. That way you won't be so lonely." Bennie promised. Quickly, she stood, holding a hand out to Logan to help him up. "Come with me, I have something for you. I got it while I was in France."

Logan smiled and took her hand, "Heh, you have to come down for Spring Break!" Logan insisted. "I'll personally sail up here and bring you down if I have to." he threatened as he followed her up the path to the cabin. "I hear the party ponies are going to be throwing the party this year." he explained.

"I dunno how well that would go over with all your college friends. Taking a high school senior to a college party? You've got some balls, Logan." She grinned back at him, still holding his hand. In her other hand she had manged to scoop up her flip flops and her soaked sun dress. Bennie pushed open the door of her cabin as they reached it and tossed her dress in her laundry basket and her flip flops next to the door. She was still dripping wet and she cursed herself. She'd have to clean later. "Make yourself at home, I'm gonna dry off and change." She hadn't unpacked yet, so she had to retrieve her clothes and necklace from one of the two trunks that had been delivered by Hermes while she was out. With that, she danced off into the bathroom across the cabin, latching the door behind her.
It only took Bennie a moment to change into the jeans and camp shirt, but she took the time to blow dry her hair and re-apply her make-up. She smiled at herself in the mirror, liking the way she looked for some reason. Picking the silver chain from the counter, Bennie pulled it around her neck and clasped it. The silver and aquamarine heart sat just below her collarbone and she admired the way it glistened in the fluorescent lighting of her bathroom.

Logan laughed as he walked into the cabin, "Dating a younger girl can be considered lucky some times." he reminded her. "I-I uh mean, it's not like we'd be DATING, though." he covered, blushing slightly. Logan flopped down on Bennie's bed with a sigh. Last year he'd failed to tell Bennie just how much he cared for her. He was determined to get it out this year, but he wasn't sure just how to tell her.

Bennie slipped out of the bathroom, Her smile faltering, "What was that, Logan?" She eyed him curiously as she pulled open her other trunk. This one was mostly books and other wants Bennie often had. She glanced over her shoulder, "Close your eyes."

Logan coughed uncomfortably, "Nothing, it was just a- a joke... right... a joke..." Logan muttered. The son of the sea god sat up straight as she started rummaging around. Closing his eyes, he awaited his surprise.
