"Cake!" Rayne replied happily, her red eyes brightened behind her glasses that threatened to fall off her face. She shoved them back up. Then she looked at the boy beside her. He didn't like water? She tilted her head.
"Or no? We can paint." Though she wasn't sure they they were going to paint. But didn't that still involve water?
Rhye grinned at the siren, Casia. Good, that meant that the other had to be Orli, and then they had two boys. "Well, while we wait, we can think up so things we could do. Crafts? Bobbing for apples? ... Making cup cakes?" she suggested.

"I'm good at building stuff," volunteered Orli, looking at the other girls, "But I don't do crafts." She said this with such vehemence that you would have to have a fool to argue with her. Let it be known that Orli Cooper did not do crafts.
"We could make cupcakes," she nodded. "And ice them all kinds of trippy colors?"
It was not guaranteed that any baked good prepared by Orli Cooper would not explode.
"Ooh," she said, thinking of something else, "Let's tye-dye stuff!"
Ophelia looked down at Darsh, who would shortly need to be surgically removed if he clung much tighter, and then back to the others in her group.
"I use watercolors a lot of the time," she said softly, feeling a bit bad since the sort of odd looking boy seemed to have issues with water. "I suppose we could use acrylics or oil since they don't take much water, but they don't stretch as far. And they're kind of expensive."
She wracked her brain for things that didn't involve water.
"We could weave pot-holders?" she suggested meekly.

Confused and disturbed by the mention of water Skylar simply pulled the edge of his hat over his eyes and refused to look at the others. " No water, can paint the cake" he grumbled, they could make the cakes and deal with nasty water and he'd paint the cakes and stay safe. Although he had seen the movie the larger boy had mentioned, twice and it was different each time. The inside of the factory had been sort of neat too so he'd tolerate that if he had to. The boy's tail making his feet too warm laying on them swept to the side dangerously close to Rayne.
Morgan shrugged and continued to fiddle with the rings in his ears " keychains, are they jewelery?" his uncle had a lot of weird keychains that were funny to look at but he wasn't sure they counted even if they did have beads and stuff on them.
Rook smiled at his group mostly friends with only Nataya being a stranger and she seemed nice enough." I don't know but if we need stuff my mother has a convenience store" he offered.

Darsh frowned a little. The odd-looking boy seemed very distressed at the mention of water and baking. But he seemed perfectly willing to decorate. "Cookies?" Darsh asked. There were lots of decorating options with cookies and nobody was afraid of frosting. He gave Skylar a game smile. It didn't appear that the giant black-skinned boy was going to be dangerous, so he began to relax his grip on Ophelia as he began to feel more comfortable.

Orli was quickly gaining Casia's favour. She was clearly a real gone girl! "What kind of things do you build?" the siren asked. What kind of things did kids build besides crafts?
Casia was beginning to realize that she wasn't going to be very useful here. She was creative in the kind of way that wasn't exactly marketable, and you couldn't sell singing at an Arts and Crafts fair. "My singing's pretty neat if we can use that. Um," she wracked her brain, "I'm good with matching colours? And sixties trivia." she offered helplessly. And there was one other thing, but she wasn't sure she entirely approved of it. Sirens lured people to them with unfair tactics. Groovy young girls didn't. Still, if she couldn't bring anything else to the table, she'd have to use it, wouldn't she? "I'm pretty persuasive." she added reluctantly. "If I have to be."

"Tye-dye things!" Rhye said, leaping on it as well. "I'm not good with crafty things either. My sister's the one good at art. But tye-dye can't be that difficult, right? And maybe we can do something with sixties trivia as well, since it'll fit that kind of theme?" she then offered, warming up to the two girls quickly.
The nu mou's tail moving so suddenly and so close to the little fox girl (who was completely focused in on the idea of cakes, cookies and painting), did succeed in startling her. Rayne jumped as it moved, gave a little startled sound, and went 'poof'. There in the pile of clothes was now a baby, two tailed, white fox cub. She looked quite startled even in this form.

Chris sighed, shaking his head slightly and reaching out a hand to the little fox in case she wanted held. She was so damn jumpy! "Decorating cookies would work," he said, glancing over at Ophelia. "We could have a baking group and a decorating group, if that works for everyone. And just use wet wipes or something to wash their hands."
"Keychains would work," Kash agreed. "We could make a couple of different things if you wanted, like some necklaces and bracelets, too?"

Completely lacking punctuality, the redheaded teen girl ambled into the groups as though she wasn't remotely late -- or as though being anything other than late was kind of embarrassing for the rest of them, since all she did was swagger through in her bluejeans and t-shirt to cup one hand around her mouth like a megaphone. Her voice echoed through the gym. "Hey, Chris!" she bawled, unexpectedly ignoring Antony. "What group am I in, d**k?"

"Galleai?" Josh repeated, looking at the girl curiously. He knew that name!Where did he know her from? And then, it hit him. Dreams. He'd dreamt about her. He couldn't believe he hadn't recognized her. "It's nice to finally meet you, Galleai." He said, recovering.
"I thought we could make instruments. Like drums, and rainsticks. Things like that, does that sound good, Rook?" He gave the boy a tilt of his head.

"How the hell should I know?" Chris asked, just loud enough for his voice to carry. "I stopped paying attention after my team was named."
"Jace, had you been here for the first twenty minutes of the meeting," Antony drawled over the mic (which he had grabbed just to piss her off) "you would have realized that you're in team two, with Kashmira over there." And he pointed to where the luck dragon girl was chatting with two toddlers.

"What are rainsticks?" Galleai asked. She knew drums because thats what Rook played. And she knew the harp and the piano and other classical instruments. But she'd never heard of a rainstick before. It sounded nice.

The material of Skylar's hat stretched then over his eyes tinted the Nu Mou's world blue but he was still capable of seeing. Darsh's smile comforted him enough to slide the hat back up just as the fox girl beside him literally became a fox. He stared in shock at that but nodded at Chris' suggestion, still sort of paying attention.

"They these tubes filled with beans or small stones. When you gently tilt them, they sound a lot like falling rain." Nataya answered, nodding. She knew about those! She grinned; making instruments sounded like a lot of fun! Maybe they could make wind chimes, too. And maybe maracas... The gears in her head started turning; there was so much they could do!

Rayne's mouth got a hold of each material she had been wearing, then dragged it all to Chris' offered hand. She hesitated a moment, before sitting in it, clothes and all. Now, she just had to wait to sneeze, then she could be normal again.
The fox cub looked at all the others, still paying attention to what was going on.

After being dropped off by his guardian, Tode nervously waddled into the gymnasium just in time to hear his name being announced. He almost bolted out at seeing the amount of people, but he knew that his family signed him up in hopes that he'd make friends, so he didn't want to disappoint them. As he came upon his group, he was amazed at how everyone varied in appearance. A girl with wings, another girl with sparkles in her hair, yet another who was dragon-like in appearance, and even a unicorn boy... seeing these people, he didn't seem so self-conscious about how different he looked compared to everyone else. In fact, this was the first time he'd ever seen people who looked as strange as he did! While he felt better about his image, he still didn't know anyone he could talk to. Too young to fully comprehend what was going on, he instead waddled over to where Casia and Orli were talking, and nervously began fiddling with his bottom lip as he looked up at the girls. They looked the tallest and were talking the most, so he figured they knew what was going on.
