Dra's surprise was quickly clouded by a burst of rage at the sight of the small thief poking through his belongings. His eyebrows narrowed and he silently readied a spell as he watched the thief, rather enraged at the audacity of him!
Dra'nahfiel was ready to unleash the spell on the unsuspecting thief when a small voice suddenly spoke from behind him. The thief whirled around, his eyes widening in surprise and shock at the sight of the mage's fire that was slowly engulfing Dra's hand. Dra about wanted to slap Gir on the back of the head for giving him away to the thief, but chose to ignore him for the moment.
The thief attempted to dart across the room to escape out of the window he had managed to rend open only to be stopped in mid step by another of Dra's spells.
"You dirty rotten rat...no thief enters my abode and lives to tell the tale. Prepare to die a most unpleasant death." Dra said in a deadly intense tone.
He was about to shoot the ball of fire at the thief when he thought better of it, and turned to regard Gir for a moment. Then a most evil, malicious grin slowly curled up the sides of his mouth. With a slight inclination of his head to Gir, he said in a low tone. "Why don't you take care of this..rat for me Gir? My master will be here soon, and I should give you something to toy with while I'm busy with him. What do you think? Do you think you can make him last an hour or two?"

Gir watched in fascination as Dra made the fire in his hand. He hadn't really noticed the thief, he only noticed the magic barriers and such. His fuchia eyes widened in sudden concentration but it was broken when Dra spoke to him.
He peeked in at the thief and smiled. He knew this one. He stole from a Lady once. Gir hadn't liked him ever since but had lost him in the crowd. So he hadn't been able to punish him. His face, so innocent normally, was suddenly about as scary as it could get. His pink eyes turned an even darker shade, his magic seemed to resonate all around him, and his grin was just shy of serial killer.
"Gir.....can play with him. Please keep Gir's candy safe," he handed Dra his bag of candy before crawling into the building.
The thief squeaked loudly, much like a rat at the sight of Gir entering. He had heard about the mad drow of the streets! He never thought he'd run into him at the Magic school! It took some pushing but he finally got another window open and dived through it.
Gir followed, giggling madly all the way down a dark alley near by. Only the screams of the thief could be heard for awhile then nothing as they got farther.

Dra's could see that the small illusionist was more than willing to deal with the thief, and took the bag of candy from the small drow without really considering what he was letting happen. It wasn't until Gir had dove through the window after the thief did he suddenly regret his decision. Dra strode over to the window and caught sight of the small illusionist cackling like mad as he followed the thief across the rooftops.
"Well..I guess I'll just have to track the little guy down later. It shouldn't be too hard." Dra murmured though he felt a strong sense that he was wrong.
He sighed and then carefully hid the bag of candy, which was nearly half gone already and tried to calm his nerves. It kept bugging him how he had just let the illusionist leave and how Imordana might take it. He closed his eyes in resignation and sighed. he was surely going to get in trouble for it later on but it couldn't be changed now.
