Princess? Kaimi bit back an inturruption and tried to blend into the background while they talked. She didn't want Thali to tell her to leave while the conversation was so interesting. The whole royalty thing would definitely explain Josh, though. The kid was a regular knight-in-shining armor.

Thali took a step back, shaking her head and frowning at Jacen. "You know I can't do that." She said. "Vate no longer desires to be king, there is no need for me to be there."
Jacen frowned, thinking something along the lines of 'Are princesses always so stubborn?' What he said aloud was, "Vate has no need." He said flatly, glancing at the fireplace mantle. There were several pictures, of Joshua, of Vinny.. Of Vate and Stasia, and Almie.

Kaimi frowned. If this guy was a legitimate political representative of whatever kingdom Thali came from, why would he be breaking into her house and beating people up? "If you're some kind of ambassador, why would you break into the house and then hurt Ben?" She asked.

The elves turned in unison, both looked surprised to see Kaimi. Thali shook her head at the teenager. "He's not an ambassador." She said, by way of explaination. "Jacen was second in line for the throne and..." She paused, and frowned at the other elf.
"My parents... well.. I am no longer the only heir. As for hurting Ben..." She narrowed her eyes at Jacen, before pausing. She noted the determined look on the elf's face. "...Kaimi, I think you should leave."

"Is he going to try to hurt you?" The girl asked with a frown. "Or take you? Because thats not okay. You should have him executed." She grinned very faintly at the thought. Not that Kaimi would ever order someones execution or want someone else to do it. But the thought of being able to, if you wanted to... that was comforting in a sick sort of way.

Thali frowned slightly and shook her head. "I could never do that." She said. "He won't hurt me." She didn't deny that Jacen would, in all probability attempt to taken her away.
"I'll be fine. Go home." She was always fine; she always managed to get away.

"What about the boys?" Kaimi asked, glancing from Jacen to Thali and then to the prone figure of Ben laying on the floor. She was there for Vinny and Josh, after all. "What about you getting some rest?"

Thali frowned slightly, she hadn't wanted to get Kaimi involved. She seemed to hesitate, and consider telling the teenager to go home. "Oh.. Then.. go upstairs." She had seen Jacen glance at the teen, and didn't like the look he had on his face. "Jacen.. Leave her out of this." She warned.
That was before Jacen moved, quick as a flash of blue and silver, to grab Kaimi's arm. "Wouldn't you like to come to Lynwood with me?" He asked, smirking.

Oddly enough, the first thing that ran through Kaimi's mind was not fear, but more of an Again? Are you kidding me? Sort of feeling. Thali hadn't been afraid that the dark elf would hurt her, even though he'd beat up Ben. But that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous. "Hey!" She squirmed, trying to wrench out of his iron grasp. "Let go! I'm not going anywhere with you!"

By the time Thali had a chance to react, Jacen was already pulling the small teenager out the door. "Be seeing you, princess." He gave a mock bow before leaving the house.
After which, Thali began to do several things at once. She pulled out her cell phone, and dialed the emergency hotline, while on hold she went to check on the children. The infants were sleeping, boys playing Sonic the Hedgehog. The elf gave a relieved sigh before running back down stairs. Still on hold.
