School sucks
In a little under a week Tezza and Wendy would be starting school. As a formerteacher herself Rinali was excited to see the girls go off and learn things beyond what she’d been teaching them lately. As a mother it was going to be very hard to let them go. Even though they’d be going to the CDl school which was located on the grounds it was still going to be hard not having them around most of the day.
Tezza might be independent but she was still Rinali’s little girl. The purple haired child still flew kites with her in the park, went to the flea market with her and in turn Rinali took her on long hikes, went to her soccer games and to climbing trails that required adult accompaniment. Her little one was growing up but they were still close . There’d be so many empty hours in the day without her.
Wendy had only been with the family for a few months but she was as much Rinali’s child now as any of the other’s. The innocent hybrid girl seemed liked she’d fair far better in school down here than she might have back on the angels plain as a half breed. Her kind was not always tolerant of others. Wendy would also have Tezza watching out for her and possibly Oliver. Either way she too was off to school soon and her laughter and smiles throughout the day would be missed.
Rinali still had Wren though who was too young for schooling yet. He was her sweet little boy, the only male of the house and spoiled by his older sisters. The songbird child could be plenty of fun and Rinali would now have more time to do crafts with him and take him on little trips. Wren was still young enough to nap during the day though and that would leave the seraph with time she didn’t know what to do with. Maybe she needed to find a new hobby, try video games or some sort of online thing. Perhaps she could find a way to be of use to Czhichi while at home.
As she stretched out on the couch and thought more on what was still to come Rinali gave a soft sigh. The girls might even have homework this year. Somehow she had a feeling Tezza wouldn’t like that, even simple math and spelling homework would mean time away from doings the things she wanted to do at home. Her tiny winged girl wasn’t likely to take too well to that concept and Rinali would have to balance helping her if needed and being too helpful. There was also of course the concern that one girl might excel while the other floundered and how to deal with that.
The orange haired woman blew a frustrated breath at her bangs. Rinali needed to calm down, she was too old to be having panicking fits. She’d just take it one step at a time, one day at a time and hopefully school wouldn’t prove to be as much of a trial as she’d imagined. Hopefully.
