The bodyguards carried their own luggage, each set consisting of a black duffel bag, several wide heavy-duty plastic cases that could have been a suitcase or something sinister, and a smaller toiletry bag. In addition, they had suit bags that had been provided by Demi slung over each shoulder, and shoes for the ox. They could both dress up rather nicely given half a chance.

Dodging around the bellboy, who looked terrified every time either one of them set eyes on him, Heath and Tol took their things upstairs. Demi had already advised them that they would have the entire upstairs to themselves. Each had his own bedroom and bath; there was a storage room they could use to set up their equipment and a balcony that ran the entirety of the upstairs living room. Perfect for surveillance, perfect opportunity for Tol to creep Demi out. Not that he would go out of his way to do such a thing.

Heath dumped his stuff onto the foot of his bed and flopped across the rest of it, staring up at the ceiling as a yawn overtook him. Less than five minutes later however, he was back on his feet putting his clothing away before heading into the storage room to set up their equipment.

Tol didn't actually relax once they got inside. He methodically passed from room to room to verify that everything was in place as it had been drawn up in diagrams earlier, that there were no bugs or strange devices. Once he stopped by Obi's room and ghosted through, muttering something to the effect of "just ignore me," before disappearing into another room. He also checked the balconies to the outside and stairwells.

Demi stretched as he closed and locked the door behind the bellboy. His arms reached up high as he gave a small grunt and then relaxed, shaking it off. He had a bit of work to do before he could really get comfy and it would appear everyone had their own little things to do. Everyone needed to unpack which would take enoguh time, then potentially call it an early night. They didn't have anything to do tonight, though tomorrow was a whole different story. They didn't have to get up too early, but Obi had a few people he'd get to 'enjoy' lunch with before a party they were all to attend in the evening. He ran over schedules in his head as he picked up his stuff and carried it to the room he would occupy; it was right next door to the office and Obi's room.

The rat paused in his unpacking when Tol wandered in and then out. He watched quietly as the other left before continuing what he'd already started. He got the bags he brought emptied before setting them on the floor in the closet. Unpacking, check. He glanced around his room before leaving it. He hadn't explored thoroughly and poked about before going up the stairs where he knew Tol and Heath were staying. He wouldn't intrude, but he'd noticed the loft over hung the living room. Quick snoop, then he'd probably go shower off all the airplane and human germs from the trip.

Demi on the other hand, hopped directly in the shower and getting clean rather quickly, before getting dressed and unpacking. He'd then proceed to use the office for its intended use.

Once the sweep over the premises were complete, Tol went into the kitchen and rummaged around for a snack. Once complete, he wandered onto a large balcony off the dining room and leaned on a railing looking out at the view.

Heath was still upstairs finishing up some minor tweaks to their equipment. He was headed out of the storage room into the main part of the loft when he spied Obi. At first glance the rat appeared to be wandering around more than that he had a question. Despite this cursory judgment, the ox asked: "Hey there. Need anything?"

Obi's wasn't paying attention when Heath appeared and was snooping at the doorway of one of the bedrooms, just curious what kind of furniture was up here. His ears perked as he froze and turned to look at Heath. "Nope. Just snooping." He took a few steps away from the door to look over the loft balcony, leaning a bit to see how much he could see. His tail flicked when he spotted Tol looking 'lonely' out on the balcony. If you looked straight though, you could see the whole spectrum of what all the balconies outside showed. He murred and glanced back at the ox, "you have a nice view up here."

Heath smirked, just as I thought. He wandered near to Obi to see what he was looking at. The view was indeed impressive; it was perfect for their job. More than what one could see however was how the sound funneled upstairs from below, and muffled the upstairs. "You know it's almost like a separate apartment up here. I can hear your boss in his study but it's almost like we aren't up here isn't it?" Perhaps that seemed a bit creepy but they were paid to be creepy to the 'bad guys,' not the 'good guys.'

He looked down at Tol through the window. He looked like a shadow with a sandwich. Strange vision. As usual, he wondered what the snake was thinking; were they complex thoughts, simpler like his own, or was his mind just blank and waiting?

At the mention of Demi in the office, his ears flicked a little and looked in the general direction of it, actually catching the noise of papers being shuffled and typing. He snickered a little, and mumbled, "he never stops." Looking back at Heath he listened. "I suppose a balcony like this would be advantageous to you and Tol, huh?" He looked back at the 'shadow with a sandwich' curiously, "How long have you known him?"

Heath nodded. "It's not like we're going to spy on you guys or anything, but we can definitely see who's coming and going so we'll be able to do our jobs a little better. Since you can't hear us, you'll also be able to ignore us, if that makes you feel any more secure," the ox chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.

Even as he said that, Tol could feel eyes upon him. His instincts were keyed up in such a way. He glanced back over his shoulder, spying the pair of them upstairs, looking his way. He glared darkly for an instant then turned around, heading back for the kitchen and fixing himself something to drink after putting his plate away.

The rat froze as Tol glared at them and then looked away like he was guilty of something. Least Tol made him feel guilty for looking at him. He glanced over at Heath, "There shouldn't be very many people, if any, besides us coming and going. Demi is pretty good about not letting work follow us back." He smiled lightly. The cat took good care of him even if he worked him to the bone.

Heath glanced at Obi curiously as he looked away from Tol. You could make him really uncomfortable if you kept staring at him, though he had gone into another room. No fun. "That's a good practice," he nodded.

"The people we deal with aren't very much fun. I can't imagine why there would be a reason to bring it home." His tail flicked as he looked around again at what they could see of the bottom floor, which was most of it. Keeping hold of the railing he leaned back and looked at Heath, "Have you had a job like this before?"

"Really? I always heard fashion people had wild parties," Heath grinned. He was genuinely surprised, but shrugged it off. "Sort of. Tol's never been a bodyguard before. But I have once or twice."

"Sometimes. I think most of the ones Demi has planned are mild mannered business parties. Of course, that doesn't mean that I don't know where the real parties are." The rat watched Heath curiously, "What made you and Tol decide to be bodyguards this time? Good pay?"

Heath raised a brow at the phrase, 'real parties' but said nothing. "Well... I can't speak for Tol 100%, but he's used to killing people and I don't care who you are or how heartless you are, it gets to a guy after a while. So I persuaded him to try something completely different for a change. Me, I'm more of a jack of all trades. Mercenaries aren't terribly picky in some respects."

The rat gave what looked like a nod as if to say 'I understand' or 'makes sense' but he said nothing. He couldn't relate to either Tol or Heath really on any level, at least work wise, so he couldn't say he understood. Pale red eyes glanced back out at the city lights as he held on to the railing and leaned back a bit. "Well, I suppose I should let you get back to whatever it was you were doing before I barged in." He tilted his head to look at Heath, ears flicking before standing straight, "Demi makes it sound like all we get to do while we're here is work, but there is some play time. And if there's anything you or Tol would like to see or do, let me know." He knew somewhere in the two bodyguards' contracts there was something along the lines of 'break' time for them.

Heath smirked faintly; there really wasn't much recognition in the rat's eyes. That was to be expected. He and Tol probably understood about the same when it came to Obi's profession. None of it made any sense and seemed like a complete waste of everyone's time. It did seem to be something that Obi might be good at, and was boring if not enjoyable, both of which were preferable to undue stress or distaste for one's profession. "Ah right... I was going to take a shower. It's been a long trip."

His grin widened. While he really didn't care much for Spain already, it might be nice to go into town for more than just their job. Tol, most likely, would only ever go out at night, which might interfere with their plans anyway.

And speaking of his reptilian counterpart, it was at that point that Tol returned. "I'm going to take a shower," he muttered without so much as acknowledging Obi's presence before disappearing into his bathroom.

"I guess I'll be waiting on that shower," the ox shrugged. He almost sighed in mild annoyance until he remembered that Tol had just eaten. He looked back at Obi and asked, "Have you eaten yet?"
