Tiki Jim laughed and near snorted out his nose his shake. "I guess he is. Old in age and in offspring. Still, you will never meet anyone who is younger in heart."
Waikiki KiKi began to eat her food. "I never thought about it." She didn't really understand the ideas of old and young. Only that she was a kid and that was different then daddy and others bigger then her.

Young in heart? Bah. "Still really old." He crossed his arms defiantly and gave a firm nod before starting to eat his hamburger as well. After taking a bite, he stated, "He's pretty cool, though! I mean, he let me eat a lot of food and he holds parties. So cool old guy."
Texas snickered and rolled his eyes. "Okay Zuri." He thought that Zuri added that last statement to avoid being scolded or something of the sort, but Texas wouldn't bother to question otherwise.

"Just remember we all grow up and we all get old at some point unless you are Hula Bob." This made Tiki Jim laugh as he didn't know anyone else that acted like his grandpa.
Growing up didn't seem to happen that fast to Waikiki KiKi. Not that she much cared. Teens and adults had problems that she didn't have or want. She just ate her food content.

"I'll never grow old," stated Zuri confidently. Perhaps it was because he had been a child for quite a long time now, but the child was getting the impression that he was never going to grow old. It was taking too long. Esmee and Aysu and Criofan and all of his other siblings were adults within a year. Not him!
Texas chuckled quietly, but decided not to argue with Zuri's insistent nature. It was best to let him learn on his own. "This burgers are really good," he said, instead. "It's been a while since I've eaten something grilled and haven't been told how out of season I am."

"Are you Peter Pan?" Waikiki KiKi asked. She had heard the story of the boy who never grew up? "I wanna be a Lost Boy then!" She told him honestly with a smile.
Tiki Jim didn't worry about it. They were kids and make believe is what they did. "I will let Hula Granddaddy know. He loves to hear that. Though, he wouldn't think his food was ever out of season."

Zuri nodded firmly, even though he wasn't totally sure who Peter Pan was. The only thing he knew was that Peter Pan was an eternal child, and that sounded a lot like him! "Yup, I'm Peter Pan! You can be a Lost Boy, 'cause I don't have any yet and it's sad. Would I call you the Lost Girl, though?" He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Yes! You're the Lost Girl and I'm Peter Pan! Together, we go defeat fun-ruiners!"
"Of course he wouldn't," replied Texas, with a chuckle. "After all, he runs a Tiki Bar." With a grin and a wink, he resumed eating his burger and watching the two children try to become Peter Pan.

"I like that! Lost Girl. So can you fly?" She flapped her little wing, but didn't get off the ground. She didn't she could till she was older. "Cause we should fly to NeverLand!"
"That's very true. And I don't think anyone would want him to." Tiki Jim knew people liked his grandpa for the way he was.

The little boy pouted. "No, I can't fly 'cause I don't have wings or magic that let's me fly." He wished he could fly, but he had so many naiad siblings that it was beginning not to matter quite as much. "I can swim really fast to Neverland though, and Peter Pan knew how to swim! I know this because... he fought a pirate!" The naiad was just guessing that Captain Hook happened to be a pirate. After all, his name was Hook. What kind of captain had the name of Hook who wasn't a pirate?!
Texas nodded in agreement, before reaching for his milkshake. At least he knew there was one place he could depend on to always be summer even when it was all too cool outside. At least his favorite season was soon approaching.

Waikiki KiKi nodded. "That's true. Anyway, Peter needs Tinkerbell to fly." She knew that there were two secrets to his flight. One being the fairy dust and other being happy thoughts.
Tiki Jim kept eating his food. "Eat up and then you can try to find Peter Pan's hide out." He winked to the little one as he ate.

Yay, he was right about the Captain Hook guy being all piratey and stuff! Bonus points to Zuri. "Hm. Maybe my mellon can help me with that! Right little guy?" The naiad turned to his mellon and grinned at it. The little mellon circled around his head before settling back to floating contentedly nearby.
Sometimes, Texas missed being that age. Afterwards, though, he remembered how awkward and depressing his teenaged years were, and so he decided that he never, ever wanted to touch being that age with a ten foot pole again. They were still fun to watch and play with, though. "Yup! So be good kids and eat all the food Hula Bob got you."

Waikiki KiKi giggled at that mellon. She then looked at her own, which just floated there. "I guess that could be what they are for." She nodded then looked to her dad. The girl then went back to eating.
Tiki Jim smiled and shook his head. "Not to fast though." He winked. "Kids are kids." He told Texas.

"Maybe! They're kinda' fun to talk to when you're alone, too." That happened a lot under the water. The naiad was pretty sure he was the only young one left, and it got a little lonely when he wanted to go on underwater expecades. Fortunately, he had his little mellon that would tag along!
"Kids are amusing," commented Texas. "It's nice that they're so playful and carefree. That being said," he looked fairly amused, "I'd never be that age again in a millon years."

"Really?" She had never really given much thought to her mellon. It was just there. It was pretty though. "Hi." She said before eating more of her food. She didn't want her daddy mad at her.
Tiki Jim nodded. "Nah, I like being an adult. Having a mate and kids and stuff. I guess it was carefree and easier though." He chuckled.

"Mm-hm!" Zuri nodded, before beginning with his fries. He had long finished the hamburger. "Since I'm the only little naiad left," as far as Zuri believed, anyway, "it's nice to have some company under the water. My mellon makes great company!" He should give his mellon a name or something. Hm... Never mind that. "I wonder if it could make me fly..."
"I just like not being a teenager anymore," remarked Texas, laughing. "And, inevitably, if I was a child again, I'd have to go through those years again." Those years where he spent the majority of his time pining for Cinthy and glaring jealously at almost everyone else.

"That does sound lonely. I bet it's pretty under the water, though." Waikiki KiKi thought about it as she ate the last of her hamburger. She could only go where she touched...which was her dad's rule. She knew it was a good one, but still she couldn't wait to be older for some things. Taller being one. Seeing that she could go deeper.
Tiki Jim nodded. He liked his age and never had thought about being young. He liked growing up because he grew up with Reira, but being an adult he had his twins and everything was wonderful.
