" I can hear you" Bishop shouted, the owl girl's hearing was quite sensitive regardless of her normal looking ears " and captains only force their crew off the plank if they mutiny" she paused where the trees crossed " certainly as captain I will get a bigger share of the booty but as long as my crew remains loyal you'll get some." her eyes gleamed " If you dare doubly cross me I'll throw you down to Davy Jones locker myself."

Joshua grinned widely as he heard Bishop. He certainly knew better than to double cross such a powerful captain. He gave Rook a grin before taking off towards the trees. "Captain, I found another clue!" He said, bending down.
Shining in the grass was gold. Not very much, not enough to buy anything from Ian, anyway.

As Bishop caught up to the longer legged boy she smiled "Great, wonder what it means though." Had the treasure been buried there or perhaps buried and then unearthed and others were making off with it now having spilled some in the process. Either way they'd have to figure it out soon becuase dark clouds were starting to head their way and that meant rain and Bishop hated to get her headwings wet.
Rook shrugged " I don't know but it's not magic gold." The boy had begun to realized the jewels embedded in his body reacted to magic objects though he didn't know why.

"I think it means we're getting close to the treasure." Josh said, looking at Bishop. "Maybe other pirates are trying to help us find it! They left us a trail to the treasure chest!"
Unlikely, but it was the only positive out come he could come up with. Or maybe the dragons were helping them find it, by dropping gold.

Bishop nodded " They could be marooned pirates who lost their ship, maybe they need us to rescue them and they are bribing us with gold." The owl girl's eyes were keen though better in the darkness than the the day. Still she scanned the area for more shiny gold hoping to pick up the trail.

"That's it!" Joshua said happily. "They need us to rescue them. Like Jack Sparrow when he went to Davy Jones' locker!" He started looking for more gold.

Bishop found another coin half hidden behind a rock a few feet away " This way" she called as thunder rolled across the sky. Must be the gods getting angry as they tried to rescue their pirate brethren.

Josh jumped at the sound of thunder. By now he had realized that there was a storm coming. "Maybe we can find the treasure another day?" He asked, hopefully. "I'm not supposed to be outsi--" A flash of lightening lit up the sky.
"You guys better go home too!" He said, "The pirates are after us!" If there was one thing that scared the boy, it was thunder and lightening.

Bishop gave a soft whine at the flash of bright light and latched onto her bigger sibling. Game time was over now, it was time to get home before it rained on them and the storm got worse.
Rook nodded " Be careful' he said as he began to lead Bishop away. The grey skinned child wasn't bothered by the weather it was a normal part of nature and he actually relished the feel of rain on his skin. Still thunder and lightning were not good to be out in. He just hoped thier friend got home ok as well.
