Shisei began to rise, but did not get the chance to stand. A leg across his face ghost colored face. A palm to the side of his ribs. The two hit combination sent the youth slamming into another gravestone on his side. One gold eye glared at the side to see another palm smudge his face into the canvas. The Orochi was tough, but even after a while his determination could begin to wear down. Yet every time it dropped, his mind would just pound back in his head “Don’t falter! That’s the reason why you lost! Keep your resolution strong!” this was enough to spur the child back into the fight although the clone was not going to make it easy. As his face began to slide through the fake peach skin and the stone configuration, the boy tried to make another sprint, but the watery vixen once again pinned to the same stone. This time it was through the use of grabbing the boy’s arm and swinging him around. His form made a 360 revolution back into the stone where the clone lightly kneed him into the stomach. “Argh!” the boy lurched. It was stinging to his pride. The Hyuuga was not using any devious force to hurt the child. All his huffing and puffing was from just the continual exercise he’d been doing for the hour. All other attacks, while surprising and stunning did not put much harm to Shisei. Well not physically. His pride was taking a beating to the grinning duplicate, but the serpent could stomach a lot of it. After all his brain came to the conclusion that she was one of the best in her clan’s generation. For a boy like him with no techniques to surpass was near impossible. Yet it was that small possibility and knowledge that he above anyone else could make that impracticality and fact that kept pushing him forward.

“Jeez! Keep your guard up! You’re starting to get sloppy!” Kanami yelled looking across the graves to see the progress of both. Her mind couldn’t concentrate with all the grunts the serpent was making in the last few minutes. It sounded like he was just standing their taking a licking. Her sexy frame laid back down trying to remember the words to the song. Also trying to push the thought of Himoto getting in her way. The other thing that Hyuuga woman would be a problem with would be the boys. She was like a living chastity belt. Without a key. How many times was the Hyuuga lover about to run the final base for a home run with Fuyubi and the woman just come out of anywhere? One time she was holding a transformation jutsu that Kanami and her lover at the time did not notice because they were too much into one another. Another time she hang glided through Kanami’s window. So many men were saved deprived of a fun time! “I need to find that woman a man. If not for her sake, then just for mine!” Kanami thought. She left this thought in her mind because who knew just when that woman would make an appearance again and start with the preaching. The Hyuuga heiress could see her coming any second to lecture about being on time and stop fooling around picking training a little snake kid. “Don’t drop your guard Shisei!!”

If Kanami put her full attention on Shisei then he’d have no chance of evading. Might as well get some practice in something else done too. The Hyuuga will see if she can practice her future song while sparring with Shisei.

“Shisei keep your guard up. Shisei move faster. Shisei duck. What does she think I’m doing? Standing shooting the breeze with an imitation?” the serpent said to himself in a bad tone that was supposed to represent Kanami’s voice. He used both of his palms to flip his body backwards over the stone epitaph and put some space between himself and the cocky duplicate. Inside the boy’s head, the dread head continued to remember all the brainless things Kanami has asked him. “Shisei, get this. Shisei get that. Shisei hold this up. Shisei put this down. Shisei don’t attack that kid. Shisei help me put this new bra on. Like a broken record. It’s so annoying.” the serpent youth continued to think as the clone charged at him again, this time a diagonal kick from the air downward. The boy of Orochi really wanted to get a chance to just slap the clone in face just as it had done earlier in the afternoon, but no such chance would occur. As soon as the clone landed it missed its kick, but was already preparing to counterattack. Another double palm attack in which the serpent had to back pedal five paces. Clone Kanami just would not let up. As soon as the left palm retracted the right pushed forward. For now the serpent boy could not run away and gain distance. His brain went on instinct and reverted to the same way his mother taught him to dodge. His ankles would pivot moving his frame slightly sideways to dodge the attack. Finally when one attack seemed like it would strike the child of snakes, his ankle pivoted enough to send the rest of his skeleton in a small spin. The attack only rolled off his clothing and Shisei spun off the clone’s arm away from danger. The boy stood awaiting the doppelganger’s next move. At that point in time fake Kanami only stared back with a look fitting for a Hyuuga. A stern face not giving away emotion yet seemed to see the emotions in everything else.

There were less grunts and growls of pain from the serpent’s mouth. Not only that, but the evil caretaker Hyuuga Himoto had also left Kanami’s mind taking her evil collar of purity. For once today Kanami could concentrate on her musical creation. She was finally getting back all the words and could see the dance steps in her head. Her voice spoke loudly, but in a beautiful tone for the song for all in graveyard to hear. “Blazing on by there’s nothing more I can do. I’m sorry that I’ll never see you again! Even though my heart is parched with pain…” the diva sung keeping the beat with a small tap of her heal against the rock. The lyrics were coming back, but Kanami wasn’t sure what lyrics she should change or how to go about performing the song. She’d need to get someone with a guitar and some drums. There would also need to be one more person to perform the back vocals. The Hyuuga teen believed that her newspaper staff could get some of the new instruments. The old ones somehow got mixed up in the Meho War. The major thing would be some back vocals if it is needed. The blue hair girl thought about it for a while, but decided to move on to something else. For now she had to make sure the lyrics as well as the instruments to be used were good to go. She the song was created a few months ago so her artistically musical mind could have changed her perception of the performance by now. "I know somehow your sorrow’s something I won’t see… It’s my life..." she sung.

“It’ll do the forward thrust first, the next come with a low palm.” Shisei thought as his body arched backwards away from the first thrust. Next came the low attack towards his knee. The serpent youth easily jumped forward away from the attack, leaving the Hyuuga duplicate to eat some dust. “Backhand then straight mid palm…” As predicted the doppelganger twirled it’s body extending its left arm and having a closed fist. The snake student’s small frame bobbed low allowing for the fist to swing over his cranium. The breeze of the attack made his dreads flutter to one side. Once in his low stoop the youth used his legs to push off to the left side so the other palm attack could not strike him. Shisei moved with only a few seconds to pare as he saw light blue nail polish try to give him a concussion. The child rolled away to try and gain some distance, but as usual the clone of Kanami was always on top of him to keep the pressure on. They might as well have been joined at the hip. Shisei’s body was having trouble keeping up, but his mind was getting an early start to each attack. For the last few minutes the boy was a few seconds ahead. Not out of anything special though. The fake Hyuuga was starting to fall into a rhythm, which was beginning to annoy Shisei. There was nothing to learn from repetition from this type of situation unless he was not getting it. “What are you doing? Take this seriously and pay attention…” Shisei shouted back towards the Hyuuga teen. His eyes turned forward again to see the clone coming at him with a knee.

“I’m going on I’m never going back there…” Kanami continued to sing with her eyes clothes feeling the cool breeze upon her skin. It was steadily becoming night and the kunoichi would have to go somewhere. What was the thing that Himoto wanted her to do? Well aside from the list of other things she should have done today. Well the princess of beauty believed it’ll come back to her if it were important. Like life threatening importance. “With you just turned..!” her musical momentum disappeared once Shisei opened his mouth. She gave a small growl out and pushed her body upwards to see what was going on. The Hyuuga had left the clone to go on auto-pilot per say so it went in a rhythm. Kanami hoped he wouldn’t have noticed so quickly, but of course the little snake brat did. In his own way, he was nearly as high maintenance as her. With a new set of coordinated movements to the clone, the kunoichi lay back down and closed her eyes. She was trying to imagine the performance in her head and how her body would move when that day came and the crowd was all around. When it came to performances, they were like fun ceremonies. That is when it hit the diva. “Ohh Shisei, I think there is going to be some type of genin Graduation Ceremony tonight. You should probably go to it.” she said aloud before going back to singing. At least the diva should try and get one thing done on the schedule Himoto told her of.

Suddenly the clone began to change its maneuvers. Before, it went into a noticeable partially linear pattern. This time the duplicate began to move in curved arcs towards Shisei. “Is it trying to get me from the side?” Amber suns focused on the next movement of the clone. He needed to see it before hand. His mind had already surmised though that it would be some type of palm of finger assault. The taijutsu of Kanami’s clan was strong, but did not leave much diversity. Well at least noticeable changes in coming attack. The damage may have felt different. His form did not waver until he could asset and be 78% sure what the tricky show stealer was trying to accomplish. That’s when the snake heard her last sentence. The graduation… Shisei contemplated it for a second and within that span of time the clone caught him off guard with front kick to the stomach. The wait pressed down in his rib cage and pushed the youth onto his posterior. He sat there a little stunned from the movement, but had enough sense in his head to trace the water girl’s next movement. Once her leg returned to land the other leg raised high into the air and brought down an axe kick like maneuver unto Shisei’s head. The child tumbled out of the way frantically to avoid the blow. Most of his body did, but the serpent’s legs were caught by the Hyuuga heel. Shisei made no growl of pain, but he regained his footing slower than usual. His mind had considered the graduation some time earlier, but the thought was easily thrown away. “No. There’s no point in my going.” the youth stated as he watched the clone Kanami fake a punch and then bring a leg to the side of his arm. The force almost took the cold child off his feet, but he managed to keep balance. The kuniochi changed up the pace quickly.

Ivory eyes opened up to the world and peered over to the cat and mouse game, in which the cloned cat was winning again. Maybe she increased the difficulty a little high when Shisei made the comment earlier. It wasn’t this that made her pivot towards the scene though. The answer did not really surprise her. Shisei was after all Shisei, but his reasons sometimes were interesting. That or just plain, blunt and uninteresting, but Kanami would risk a break in her music to know why. After all since their return Shisei had not gone out to find or venture with anyone. Even today, if the blue hair princess did not show up he’d probably still be here playing chess. Or on the cliff playing with his fan. Or murdering some defenseless animal in the forest. Well maybe not that far, but it made the girl giggle slightly to picture Shisei’s daily activities. “So if he doesn’t have any friends here then should I have left him back at the mansion?”, Kanami contemplated. Not like the austere boy was much of hit with his generation at the mansion, but because many had similar quiet attitudes to some degree they managed to put up with one another. There were only a few instances in which could have cause real trouble. The bigger problem was with the elders of the clan. Shisei was an outsider, something they looked down upon more than the Branch families. They did not mind him taking a place of refuge for a little while, but the serpent youth was there for a year now. That and his actions were beginning to affect the other youths. Kanami did not mind, but she could also see it from the elder’s eyes. A guest that just did not know when to leave. Perhaps that was why they were so fervent in him coming along on this trip. “Why not? There’d probably be something there for you to do.” Kanami stated. It was around this point she recognized that her thoughts had traveled very far away from the song!

“To do what?” The snake child said, maneuvering below a horizontal chop. His light skeleton ducked and both feet pushed off the ground propelling the serpent youth off the gravel. This propulsion angled the boy to the back of the clone where he had to pivot on an ankle and twirl a few centimeters away from being hit by a roundhouse. As soon as the vivacious clone missed the chop, the same hand grabbed onto a side of a grave to keep her balance and thrusts a kick back to hit the boy in the shoulder. It missed, but the duplicate was aggressive like an angry hawk. Shisei still wouldn’t get any rest. His back facing the genuine girl he began to try and answer the question. “I’m not graduating. I’m not receiving anything. “ the maverick’s voice replied as the replica flipped to his side and snaked its arms around one of his. It then brought its weight down along with Shisei to the ground. A small grunt came out of his throat as the Hyuuga water image began to give him taps at the back of the head. “Besides…” Shisei began as his form rolled over to catch one of the open palms of the replica. This small pause allowed him push his body up and away from the assault. His lips huffed and puffed, trying to capture the oxygen around. “Why would I want to go there and watch the garbage and trash get their promotion?” the boy’s eyes had left the clone to stare at the genuine sex tart for a second before turning back. In time to parry a knife edge chop and duck an elbow. The serpent youth tried to remain focus on the fight, but he could tell that more questions would be coming soon.

“With you just turned away leaving me on that lonely rail..” the girl sung her voice elevating as if trying to stir the dead. She was remembering the song little by little and her brain, the stage was there with most of things she needed to do. For this next performance coming up the Hyuuga idol wanted to do something with fireworks. Perhaps a lot of fireworks to change the lighting for herself on stage. If she used little sparklers it would definitely create a cool effect. As Shisei answered back the kunoichi felt it would be the perfect time to answer. Stopping in between lyrical singing her voice responded to evading dread head. “Well…. They call can’t be that way, can they?” the diva stated trying to think of a reason for him to go. The boy did have a point. Especially with fixation of winning being the top priority in most cases. Kanami learned about that trait of Shisei with the Hyuuga Underage Assessments. Rethinking her words carefully the prima donna continued. “Also, you never know. There could be new students that came during the two years that are graduating. There could be someone similar to you and graduating.” she stated. He couldn’t complain about someone who has similar traits. Then again the snakey kid could find away. Similar to the children of the trunk family, something not seen as often in the branch families, is the prodigal nature and ascended sense of ego that sometimes drove the kids in their privacy. “God knows that I will follow you if that’s what you wanted. Take me into all of your darkest shadows.” her voice pulsed across the graveyard. She was now considering having her clone sing. Just to irk the boy!

When the clone started singing the, it took the snake child off guard. His eyes popped opened as the Kanami replica grabbed Shisei by the collar and proceeded to use her other arm to repeatedly 'thwap' the dread hair across the cranium. Instead of trying to escape the lock the snake shinobi tried to answer the question between each hit while backing away from the clone. The taller adversary kept approaching to make certain the attack prolonged. “I doubt that… ugh... They’re all trash… argh!... no better than ants…. Surely…ergh!... by now whatever new students here are also the same.” Once Shisei finished that sentence he hopped and launched his entire body over the girl’s arm that held him. This loosened her grip and from his jacket and allowed the serpent youth to get away from the palm taps to the head. The youth backed away trying to regain his breath and explain his action. “Let the trash have their fun. Every dog deserves their day. Besides they have nothing that can help me.” the shinobi student declared as the Hyuuga clone came charging again. It started with a knee in which the boy side stepped to side and then tried to use a horizontal chop which just missed Shisei’s throat. The boy did not have any curiosity as to what his inferior peers were up to. They were too much of a hindrance to begin with.

“God knows that I’ll follow you if…” Kanami began, but stopped and listened to Shisei. The girl didn’t say anything in response, but examined him for a moment. “No flicker of the eye. No change of the pupil. Any change in facial expression has been due to being attacked or attacking. Unless he’s only releasing emotion at the point of impact… no that’s way too advanced for him. That type of emotional control is even above my head.” the mistress of the Byakugan ponders as she watched the serpent youth continue to run from the duplicate’s onslaught. It was a wonder how most of his classmates did not kill him if the snake child was the same as he is today. Although considering his solitary nature, Shisei’s generation on Shima probably never saw him. Out of curiosity the singing teen decided to ask the boy another question. “How many kids were in you class last time you were here? Also did you ever interact within anyone? I bet you stayed to the back of the class didn’t you?” Kanami told the boy trying to return her thoughts to the song and not a kid’s social life. “Let’s see…. What was the next line after God knows? I’ll… I’ll follow you if…. if… you are there for me. So please be there for me…. Mhph! That’s not right at all!” Kanami reprimanded herself while continuing to think of the melodic words. The girl put her index finger to her lip trying to perceive those beautiful tunes. “Let’s see. Something with ‘dark’ was coming up in the song soon…”

The Orochi child ducked and rolled forwards moving in between the legs of the clone. His head shifted up to see the blue haired teen practicing her singing. “I interacted even when I didn’t want to… as for how many students, there were … argh!” the boy splattered from his tongue as the clone placed a sandal in the middle of his upper back. This sent Shisei falling face first into the stone slab of a grave. The child got up slowly rubbing his head. It seemed even thinking of the losers made him lose his concentration. One of the reasons why he distanced himself so far from them. Now that his lips were tasting dirt though, Shisei decided to give it some thought to answer the question. “Hmm… there was the boy with insects in his skin, another with weird rings in his eyes, the cousins with red and green eyes the tall one who was always scared, a female Hyuuga, the one with a single eye, two dressed in all white, and a tall girl. Those were all the ones I can remember.”. As the snake student began to get up, gold eyes took in the name on the grave stone. “Tokiha Kiro…” what was the significance of that name? Either way Shisei shrugged it off and came back to his feet. Just in time to hop over a low kick. Two more open palms followed by a thrust came and snake shinobi evaded the first two attacks while the other caught him in the cheek. “Grah… There were ten of what I can remember.” the Orochi boy stated to his antagonizer. The names and even their appearances escaped him. In his mind they were no more than doll sized shadows. It should remain that way, but knowing the luck he’s had in the past two years, Shisei expected the grim reminders to return like wasps to their nests. Returning from his memories the boy took another open palm to the chest that pushed him on his posterior. They were already in the way.

“Aha!! I remember now!” the Hyuuga princess shouted within her mind picturing herself jumping for joy. “God knows that I’ll follow you if that’s what you wanted. Take me into your darkest shadows and you’ll see that I’m even stronger than you could know.” The girl sang with her voice staying in perfect pitch. If an audience was there they’d start a small applause just for that little sample. If she sang a little more some cute boy would try to throw her a rose and kiss her hand. The girl made a pleasurable sigh thinking about it and then listened to the Orochi’s words. “Hmm ten huh. None any good either? What about any girls??” the girl said, getting excited. One thing she liked was prying into other people’s love and especially sexual lives. Not that Shisei would have a sexual life. A he was still a kid. Then again that didn’t stop a lot of things Kanami did. The primary reason is though that Shisei was colder than a dead body. There were times the seductive mistress contemplated pulling down his pants and verify he wasn’t a eunuch. There could still be that possibility, which meant there was always a possibility that Kanami could take an article of the boy’s clothes away. For now though the ivory eye diva decided to just ask a simple question. “Did you have any crushes?”

“A crush?” at first Shisei believed the kunoichi meant if he ever defeated any of the losers. It took him a few seconds to realize what she meant. The child did not spend any time on the subject as his body skated back in the gravel from another forceful palm. His eyes adjusted just in time to see another axe kick trying to split his head like coconut. Only a slight pivot of the ankle made the child turn sideways away from the heel drop, but the danger was not over. The larger teen’s body was still I front of Shisei.
