(It's alright, you just have to seperate yourself from your character and realize what she would know and what she wouldn't. I don't even know if Dierdre would know Garth, we haven't set it up specifically, so it's better to assume she wouldn't)
"I'm Dierdre" She said, extending her hand to Sophia. "It's a pleasure to meet both of you!" She smiled up at Nova warmly.

((i got lost for a full 5 minutes. i reread everything like 50 times and im still a little confused lol and sorry i thought youd be carrying your egg))
A little put off by the appearence of a large Dragon Garth atrated to make his way over to the small group that was forming. Not really interested in contributing to the conversation but his curiosity was getting the best of him so he started to make his way over through the crowd.

As Garth neared the small group he was surprised that one of the members of the group was his old friend Dierdre. In his surprise Garth didntt notice the pole until he walked right into. Luckily he fell on his back and Shimmergloom didnt slip from his grasp. "Owwww... gotta be more careful about that" groaned Garth.
((walking into a pole full speed and wearing armor will hurt alot lol))

Dierdre looked over in shock. "Garth?" She asked. "I didn't know you had come to the race too." She regretfully left the beautiful little quetzal and went to help pull him to his feet. Falls like that, which she was so prone to,w ere exactly why her egg was very safely tucked away at home.

Still a little shaken from his fall Garth managed to focus in on Dierdre face "Oh Dierdre... yeah i came to pick up my dragon. His name will be Shimmergloom" said Garth holding out his egg. "well looks like i managed to pull a you just now." he continued laughing after he said it but winced from the pain that went through his side

Dierdre just shook her head. "Jerk" She teased, referring to his light-hearted comment. Not even she could deny her clumsiness, though. Under normal circumstances she would have given him a friendly shove, he deserved at least that much for picking on her, but not with an egg in arm. She peered closer and smiled. It was beautiful. "Well done!" She chirped "He's going to be spectacular!"

Grinning Garth replied "I'm not a jerk if I am telling the truth." Garth had to suppress a laugh which wasnt so difficult due to his strict training. "and thank you, I think he will be amazing when he hatches. so what brings you to the race?" he asked puzzled by Dierdre absence from her fashion

She smiled happily. "I have an egg now, too. I left it at home, though, didn't want to take a chance with all these crowds. But I decided it'd be best to at least see a race before it hatches." She laughed and pushed her hair out of her face again.

Thinking for a moment "Hmmmm... thats true. You in a crowd of people with a fragile egg does spell out a recipe of disaster. Hope that dragon will keep you out of trouble." putting his serious face on Garth continued "So hows life going havent spoken to you in what seems like ages?"

She playfully whapped his forhead, just lightly. "Fine fine." She said, leaning back and popping her hip out. "My boss has been killing me to get things done faster, as always... I've been eyeing this nice little shop front though, considering going into business for myself... but a small dragon around large bolts of expensive fabric could be trouble in itself." She laughed a little.

Laughing "Well you should start your business. It would be hard at first but it would take off im sure it would... just keep the dragon away from the fabric." Garth paused for a moment and the continued "Well... life for me has been alright. Dads been pushing me harder for knighthood but well as you can see..." gesturing to the egg " that ship has set sail."

Dierdre laughed softly. "Thanks, I think I'll wait till it's not a hatchling" She said. She pursed her lips as he talked about being a knight. She didn't believe in fighting so she was glad to see him not as a knight. "Good." She said, with a nod.

Shuddering thinking of what he would be forced to do if he was a knight Garth sadly replied "Well good thing ill be able to take a room in the guild hall cause ill probably be thrown out the house cause of this."
