Celyn was just happy to get a cookie from her, and eagerly started to nibble at it as Remi began to inspect her cupcakes. The young churro boy was certainly not expecting the next comment, and turned a delightfully bright red upon realizing that she was, in fact, handing the cupcakes off to him. The churro boy swallowed his bite of delicious, large cookie before eagerly taking the cupcakes. Sure, Celyn didn't expect the gift; that in no way meant that he wouldn't eagerly take cupcakes offered to him.
"You're so awesome, Remi!" Only a few other times had people bought things for the sometimes sweet-deprived sweet-loving boy. Most of the time, the people buying him things that were non-essential happened to be his grandparents. "I--I--thank you so much! Take a cupcake; I insist!" He pushed the cupcake box back towards her, wanting her to at least get one of these delightful cupcakes for herself. He felt rather silly just hogging all of the sweet, delicious cupcakes to himself. After the gingerbread girl's nice behavior, it was the least the churro boy could do.

Blushing Remi picked out a pretty little cupcake in the center with a half strawberry shaped almost like a heart. "Thank you Celyn! You're the best." Giggling softly Remi wanted to give the sweet churro boy a hug but as her hands were full of sweets she didn't have the chance.
Neena had finally relaxed from earlier. Taking a nap always calmed her down and entering the bakery she had left Remi in she found the small scent with another little girl? She couldn't tell and to be honest she didn't much care. What she did care about on the other hand, were the sweets clutched in the girls hands. "Please tell me you didn't spend ALL my money Remi!"

Just as Celyn was about to give out another adorable compliment to Remi, some strange lady came talking about money. It seemed she knew Remi, and it made Celyn blush sheepishly. After all, Remi had spent quite a bit of that money on him. "It's okay, lady," Celyn offered, with a polite smile. "It isn't all bad!" Remi had mentioned that she was trying to get something for her relatives, right? Maybe this was one of her relatives.
"Celyn, time to go!" called Carwyn, walking rather quickly over to the baker's station. Luckily enough, and he let out a sigh of relief when he saw, Celyn was indeed still there and it seemed that he had found himself a new friend. At least Celyn hadn't wandered off this time. "Oh? You have a box of cupcakes?" Now, Carwyn knew he didn't give Celyn any money to get those.
Celyn nodded. "Yeah! Remi got them for me! She's so cool! I let her have some too, of course, 'cause she bought them." The churro boy nodded proudly while grinning from ear to ear.

"NEENA! I got this cool new friend look! His name is Celyn and he like sweets and music and a whole bunch of things that I like too!" Grinning she motioned to her pocket. "You're money's in there auntie." Noticing a man come in calling Celyn Remi got even more excited. "Is that your daddy? He looks so cool!"
Taking the cookie and money Remi was offering her Neena looked the two males up and down. They seemed ok enough. And from the look of them and the way Remi was talking it appeared Lizzy would approve. Cat ears twitching Neena nodded to the adult. "It appears my....niece had a good time with your son."

Someone had just called him cool-looking? Carwyn couldn't help his chuckle. That was a bit odd. Most people were just inclined to remark that he looked an little too thin--especially lately, as he was working two jobs just so he could feed Celyn. "Thank you, dear. Remi, I assume? Yes, I am Celyn's father. Mr. Carwyn Yates."
Celyn grinned upon seeing his father so relaxed for once. That rarely happened consistently, unless his father was playing music or listening to it. "Yeah, we had a good time together!" Though Neena's remark was pointed at Carwyn, Celyn responded. "It's so awesome to meet cool people at the bakery! We should have more cool times together soon, Remi! 'cause you're super fun and we have lots of stuff in common!"

"Yes yes we should! I can't wait to see you again Celyn!" Hugging the churro boy Remi giggled happily as she smelled his scent. Every time she smelt that scent she'd now think of her best friend. Pulling away she turned to Carwyn and smiled up at him. "Yep my name is Remi and its nice to meet you Mr. Yates!"
Nodding to the little boy Neena agreed. "Yes I think we could arrange more times for you to hang out with Remi. That is if your dad is alright with it." More time with other kids meant less time having to drag the kid around. Pulling out a piece of paper and pen from her pocket the cat demon wrote down their number and held out the slip for Carwyn. "This is the house number if you ever want to schedule a play date. I live there with my best friend, Remi's mother. Her name is Lizzy. One of us is almost always in the house."

"Nice to meet you too, little Remi." After offering a smile, Carwyn took the number thankfully. It seemed that he could trust these two; maybe he wouldn't have to shove Celyn at his grandparents or Dr. Brick constantly now. "Mm, thank you. Celyn, would you happen to have any paper?"
Celyn shook his head, but then took the paper Neena gave them and tore a piece off it. Then, he returned both pieces to Carwyn. Carwyn used the new piece to write down his number and another one and give it to Neena. "'n' that's our number. Granted, we're rarely ever home unless it's evening or early morning. The lower number is for his grandparents; you might reach Celyn easier that way, though there's no promises."
The churro boy nodded excitedly at the mention of his grandparents. "My grandparents are really cool too! They like to spoil me, so that means I get to bake a lot more sweets that usual!" He clapped his hands together excitedly. "They get me all sorts of awesome recipes of stuff to make!"

Taking the offered number Neena pocketed it. Lizzy would be more then happy to have them and knowing her she'd have it memorized as soon as she laid eyes on it. Another paper for the over cluttered fridge. "Understandable. Someone has to rake in the dough. Have to feed these little cookie monsters somehow." Smirking she ruffled Remi's hair and the clip she had gotten the child.
Pouting at the hair ruffling Remi fixed herself as best she could then grinned at Celyn. "Your grandparents sound amazing! Anyone who can find awesome recipes are great!" Her mom browsed cookbooks now and again to find new food and most of the recipes ended up good. Except that the ones from that one healthbook. Now that was some nasty food!

Thankfully, the always worrying father had learned not to worry when Celyn talked of cooking. He wouldn't burn himself. He wouldn't burn the food. He wouldn't poison himself. He wouldn't poison anyone else. ...Or would he? A worried expression briefly crossed Carwyn's face, before he reminded himself that Celyn was more competent of a cook than he was.
Celyn noticed his father's expression as Remi talked about the recipes and giggled lightly, before turning his eyes back to Remi. "Yeah! And the food's always really good, 'cause there's always ways to make even healthy icky stuff taste kinda' good." He giggled. "Spices usually make anything taste just a little better! I'll have to show you sometime!"

Nodding her head Remi completely agreed. "Then I won't have to eat Neena's stinky food. She burns just about everything. Except cereal that she has yet to burn." Giggling she stuck her tongue out at her aunt and winked at Celyn.
Annoyed at the child's teasing Neena rolled her eyes. "Hey atleast I cook you food! I could let you feed yourself like a bad babysitter." She wouldn't mention she had just let the child run around town by herself while she went to take a catnap. "But come on Remi. Say goodbye to your friend. Your mom will be worried sick if we're not home on time and I'll never hear the end of it."

"Yeah, we should be going, Celyn." Carwyn patted the pouting child's head. Oh no, would he be able to cheer him up? He hated when Celyn became pouty. It made Carwyn feel like a bad father sometimes. "After all, you're coming to my performance later too, remember?"
Celyn nodded his head lightly. He handed off the cupcakes to his scrawny father and hugged Remi tightly like the good friend she was. After a few moments, he parted with a grin. "Yeah, it'll be fun! I'll see you soon, Remi! Don't forget to call!" He giggled, and offered a light wave.
The father let out a sigh of relief when he noticed how quickly Celyn had cheered up. At least he didn't have to deal with a whining child...

"Trust me I won't! Bye Celyn!" Grinning brightly Remi gripped her aunts hand while waving to her friend. She couldn't wait until her mom let her call Celyn for another playdate! She wondered what they would do next time. After all its very hard to beat fun times in a bakery that's for sure.
Taking the girls hand in hers Neena once again nodded to the two males. "Good day to the both of you." Leading the little one out of the store Neena headed in the direction of home. "I tell you Remi you meet the most interesting people. Was Celyn a girl or a boy? I couldn't tell at all!" Flicking her tail she listened to Remi laugh and run on ahead not answering her question. "HEY! I asked you a question missy and you're going to answer it!" Taking after the little girl the two disappeared in the crowd.
