An... Odd Meeting with Roxy and Gera
There was a high pitched squealing giggling voice that belonged to a very energetic little girl who was learning to roll around on roller blades for the first time. Trin had gotten them for her after she noticed that Gera could morph wheels onto his own feet.
"FASTER GEWA FASSSSTER." She shrieked as they rolled down the sidewalk. Gera was careful to make sure she didn't run into anyone as well not go toooo fast. Despite the fact she kept demanding they do exactly that.
The metallic boy seemed to be rolling along just fine behind his sibling holding onto her hands as gently as he could manage as they moved down the street .
Dei wasn't to prone to leaving home alone these days but he was... bored. He blamed perhaps the fact that he had met a couple people when he was out and about and... he liked those people as scary as they were when he had first met them. Kay and Gera being the biggest examples of that, not to mention the other boy he'd met when he'd gotten himself lost the other night.
He peeked around the corner, looking back and forth then started forward. He had a little notebook with him that he was taking notes on, making sure that he knew where he was at all times. So long as he didn't run into that horrible cat he was pretty sure that he would be alright.
Roxy liked it all well and good that Gera was holding onto her hands but she wanted to go faster! She tried to pull her hands out of his but found he was just ...too strong for her.
"Gewa..." she whined, "Leeeegooo I can do it ba myself." she proclaimed though her big brother didn't seem to really believe her. He seemed to be thinking on it though she was still struggling to get out of his grasp.
The loud voices got his attention and he scooted forward to peek around another turn to see Gera and a girl out... skating? He blinked a couple times as he starred at them, finding this to be something rather new. He'd never expected to see him skating in such a manner he thought to himself before he ducked back, peeking at him, watched, then was quietly. A new side to Gera and something to behold he thought to himself. He found himself wondering for a moment who the girl was as he scooted back so that he wasn't in the way on the sidewalk.
"Gewa!!! LET GOOO." She cried again causing Gera to release his hold suddenly as her semi shriek nearly sounded like she was in pain. Now free she wobbled on her two little legs and toppled over. She didn't cry though she did look surprised and then worked on getting back up onto her rolly feet. Protesting when Gera helped her back up.
"Gewa...how am i saapose..to wearn if you do all da work??" she demanded her hands on her hips.
Deimos vanished from sight at the shriek finding both it and the little girl a bit on the startling side. She was... loud, both in sound and in the colors that she was wearing. He starred at her for a long while before looking over at Gera, and couldn't help but to stare at him. Now that they were closer to him he noticed that his metallic friend was looking so much different, so much bigger. He tilted his head to the side and starred, eyes a bit wide. His hair looked a little more solid, he was taller, a little shinier and kind of... sharper. He gave a shiver as his friend had taken on a slightly more dangerous look to him when he had grown.
The metallic boy only blinked at her and dropped his hands when she complained..in which she promptly fell back onto her butt. She complained a bit more but finally struggled onto her two feet and managed to NOT topple over.
"Bettah." She stated firmly as she wobbled forward. Gera kept his eyes fixed on his sibling like a good watch dog would.
Deimos watched quietly and found himself fading out once more and he felt the strangest sort of feeling building up in him though he had no real idea what it was, it was... odd. A strange feeling that stemmed from watching the metal boy playing with the girl in such a manner. He wanted Gera to look over at him, play with him... but... his eyes were locked onthe blond. It made him want to go over and cling to his friend, to take him back from his new friend but as he didn't have the bravery for that he just stood stock still, his notebook slipping from his fingers to land on the ground with a little 'thud', coming into view when it was no longer touching him.
Roxy didn't miss anything, being her age she spotted the notebook when it hit the ground. She pointed to it and nearly toppled again. "OOOO I WANTS IT." She proclaimed as she started to hurry in the direction of the notebook. Of course..Gera could of easily of gone to get it himself but instead he followed after Roxy to make sure she didn't fall and hurt herself.
"Hey!" The currently invisible Deimos squeaked as the girl that had taken his friend also just up and stole his notebook, he followed along as quickly as he could, "I need that to get home!" He didn't want to get lost again! Being lost this far from home was scary and the only way back meant having his notebook in his hands so that he could read the directions and landmarks that would get him back!
Gera blinked when Dei appeared suddenly and so did Roxy. She turned to face the new person staring at him...or was it a her? with her wide green eyes she held onto the notebook and then looked down at it and back to Dei. She gave him a large smile, "Yours?" she asked with a wobble on her legs.
Gera came up behind the pair slowing as he found that Dei had changed, bigger and more...solid? Yeah he supposed that was the right description.
"Hello Deimos." He stated.
He nodded, looking down at it, "I need it to get home." He said, looking a bit worried about the fact that he'd not been paying good enough attention and for the moment his fears of other things were forgotten in the light of the fear of getting lost again.
Roxy looked to the notebook and then back to Dei. "Play with me...have book back later." She stated with a nod of her head. "Gewa Gewa you know ?" She asked as she noticed her brother had addressed the figure though..was blatantly ignored by him. Maybe he didn't know.
He took a step back, unconsciously closer to Gera without realizing it as he found himself confronted with the girl's words, "I need it... it has my map back home." He said, feeling the shivers starting at the idea that the girl might keep his book if he didn't do what she told him to do. He gave a little whimper before turning his attention to the metallic child, "G-Gera... you have to t-tell your f-friend to give my map b-back..." He told the other boy.
Gera looked between Dei and then Roxy. She held the book possessively to her chest and he shook his head.
"Can't force....you convince Roxy..to give back." He replied with a bit of a rumble. Roxy only giggele and then moved to tug on Dei's leg.
"Name name! I Roxy! Dat!" she pointed to her brother, "is Gewa!"
"G-Gera..." Dei looked a little hurt that Gera wasn't going to even try to get the notebook back for him, he starred at his friend before he looked at the girl that was currently holding his notebook hostage. He looked at the girl who had gotten to close, tugging at his leg... and he took a quick few steps back to put room between them away from her grabby hands. He shook his head as he tried to figure out what to do... he didn't know the strange girl, wasn't sure he liked her given the situation at hand... found her scary if she was going to keep his book and make it so he wasn't able to ever get home.
The girl watched as he moved away from her and she thinking this was some sort of game gave a giggling shriek and then went to follow after Dei. "tag tag we plays?" she inquired in a rather hyper sounding voice.
Gera did know when Dei didn't like something...and so stepped in front of him to then bend over and pick Roxy up with several sounds of protest and whines as she then was sat on his shoulders. He had in the same instance plucked the book out of her small hands.
"Heeeeeeey...Roxy wanted to pway!" she whined booting the side of her brothers head with her roller skate. There was a clang...but Gera seemed on the whole unaffected.
A look of extreme relief appeared on the pink haired boy's face as he reached out to take his notebook, looking it over to make sure his directions were still in place, then gave a sighing sound as he hugged it to him, "P-Phew..." He murmured, shaking again though this time from relief as he glanced over at the pair once more. He watched the way that the girl kicked at Gera before he felt his... annoyance... yet another a new emotion well up a little. He supposed that leaving the house was good for something. He learned of new people and new feelings... though he had to admit he didn't quite care for this current emotion he was feeling. He didn't even seem to realize that it was causing another of his latent powers to flicker into existence. It was a momentary thing and only really effected one of the two he was dealing with... then it was gone again, leaving him feeling a little dizzy as he hadn't ever used that power before.

An... Odd Meeting with Roxy and Gera: Part Two
Roxy's eyes narrowed a bit she used the back of her hand to rub her eyes as if she had suddenly got either very tired or something had gotten into her eyes. She looked back at Dei before her eyes went a bit wide, she gave a shriek or rather a scream an ear shattering scream as she then was trying to desperately get off of Gera. The poor metallic boy was startled by her sudden outburst as she then flailed about trying as best as she could to get off of him. He was still trying to be careful but sooner or later Roxy was going to fall off of him.
What had happened? What had scared the little girl so much that she was so desperately trying to get away from Dei?
Deimos seemed just about as startled by her reaction, eyes going a bit wide and he took a few rapid steps away from her, eager to get some space between himself and the loud girl. He lifted his hands up to cover his ears in a protective manner and watched the way that she was trying to get away from her brother all of a sudden, away from him, and doing so in a very vocal, flailing manner.
"W-Wha...?" What in the world...? He took a few more steps back, wincing a little. The loud noise, the sudden on set of weakness, and the rush of emotions had the pink haired boy more then a little out of sorts at the moment. He wanted to vanished, he even tried, but it would seem as though he were to drained all of a sudden to call upon that power which he found worrisome since it hadn't happened to him since the time Faris had ended up with his power by accident.
Surely this girl wasn't just throwing a fit over having the notebook taken away from her? He shook his head, hoping that wasn't it... surely she wasn't so spoiled as that? He couldn't tell, having no idea really what had set her off. He took a couple more steps back but found himself with his back bumping into a fence so he couldn't retreat any farther yet. He gave a little shiver and a whimpering sound, "W-What is... g-going on Gera?" He asked in a quiet tone of voice.
Gera was holding onto his sibling and when he seemed to have finally gotten her to calm down her face was red and her nose running and she hiccuped every once in a while. She looked to Gera her body trembling before she began crying and sobbing again she made the grabby hand gesture at Dei as if wanting comfort from the boy.
Gera was at a loss. He looked to his friend before he shifted and moved towards him so Roxy could get closer.
Dei attempted a step back but couldn't move any farther back, stuck exactly where he was at the moment as the girl came toward him with her grabby hands and runny nose. He shook his head, "A-Ahh... n-no..." He murmured, why would she want him? A moment ago she was trying to get away from him and now he wanted to hug him...? It was a strange change in attitude toward him that had him shaking in an uncertain fashion. She could be covered in germs he thought in a slightly terrified manner.
Gera wasn't sure what to do all he knew was Roxy didn't want to be wit him.
"Roxy?" He asked softly though the poor girl was just hiccuping and wanting to be held by someone who looked like he'd rather die. He was at a loss. So instead he put Roxy down, who promptly fell to her butt and then struggled to take her skates off. Her brother watched silently until she was free of the shoes and then she went to hug Dei's leg.
Dei gave a cry of surprise as suddenly the girl was clinging to his leg, he wanted to run in any direction, wanted to vanish, but it would appear as though he had gotten himself stuck in place. He looked up at Gera, "G-Gera...? W-Wha..." What was he supposed to do? Why wasn't his friend helping him?! He started to tremble harder and ended up sliding down to the ground, landing in a shivering heap as the girl clung tightly to him and just starred at her, dazed.
Roxy just trembled as she clung to Dei. Her brother was scary...scary when he was covered in red...she hadn't actually distinguished that ..Gera wasn't red now. "Gewa...scary..." she whimpered against Dei's leg. Gera looked...lost. Dei seemed just as worse off as Roxy. He had no idea what to do in a situation like this.
Dei starred down at her, confused... wait... what? She was afraid of Gera? He was a quite uncertain as he looked up at him before giving a little nod of his head, "O-Only the one arm." He said, lifting a hand and reached it out in a slow, shaking hand, looking as though he were going to faint at any moment as he patted the girl on the head in a weak attempt at soothing her.
Roxy sniffled burrowing her face further into Dei's leg. "Gewa...scary when red.." she continued to mutter and it seemed to clue in to Gera the problem. The poor metallic boy's face fell when he heard her speak he toko a couple steps back and then looked unsure of what to do next.
"She is scared...of me.." he stated confirming what Roxy had just stated.
"Red?" He asked, looking down at the girl before he lifted his head to looking up at Gera, "Red? Gera is... blue..." He knew he could change his shape but his color? He could understand why she would be scared though, the color of red terrified Deimos too. There were so many bad things associated with red, everything from fire to blood to certain dangerous animals and plants... he gave a shiver just thinking about it and tried to force the thought aside.
The pink haired boy went from feeling scared to feeling... surprised when Gera took a step back and looked a bit upset. Last time they met he seemed more like a robot then a child and now he seemed more... alive? Was that the right word? He wasn't quite sure but something about him seemed different, "G-Gera... are you alright?" He asked when he was able to find his voice.
Gera looked to the ground and then to Roxy who avoided looking at Gera as she instantly buried her face into Dei's leg. She liked the hair stroking she gave a bit of a snuffled sound as Gera shook his head.
"Will stay here.." he stated watching as Dei managed to pat Roxy on the head. "She does not like it when..I am covered in red.." He explained not wanting to scare Dei either...but felt the need to try and explain.
Dei lifted one hand as though he were attempting to reach the metal boy before giving up, to far away to reach. A part of him wanted to cling to his friend in the same way that he'd held onto Kay and the hooded boy but he couldn't... instead he was captured by a girl that he didn't know and charged with the job of trying to sooth her. He was starting to debate on what it was that he should do next but he was at a loss...
Roxy looked up at Dei and releasing his leg made a grabby hand gesture of up. She wanted up...to be picked up and held. Like Gera normally did like Kay did. she wanted to feel the comfort of security.
"Roxy...up?" She murmured rather subdued.
Gera looked and felt a pang of jealousy? He normally was the one who carried Roxy around...though he knew that was a bit out of the question now...so he went to pick up her skates in a slow manner.
"Dei..walk with us?"
Dei looked very uncertain as he pushed his way up to his feet, one hand picking up his notebook once more, tucking it into the pocket on the inside of his robe. He starred at the boy before he reached down in a slow and hesitant manner to try to pick up the girl. He wasn't very strong like Gera or Kay so it took all his might and both his arms to be able to pick the girl up off the ground. He shifted in place then looked over at Gera, "W-Where? Are we g-going...?"
Roxy perked up when Dei actually did pick her up, snuggling up against him as her sobs and crying seemed to be coming to an end or course this meant she was also getting very sleepy. "Home.." Gera stated with a nod..the sooner they got Roxy home the better. "Unless you have somewhere?"
"Home." He said, thoughtfully before nodding, "I... umm... n-need to go to my home... b-but... I can walk with you a little while." He didn't want to leave before he'd even had a chance to be near to one of the few people that he wasn't afraid of... or at least not nearly as afraid of him as he was almost everything else in the world that was. He gave him a bit of a smile though it was a little weak as he moved to walk along side the metal boy.
As they started moving the blond girl's head bobbed and then her eyes sank shut and she was out like a light. Slightly snoring against Dei while they walked. Gera looked at Dei before looking ahead again.
"okay...I don't want to bother you ...but thank you for helping Roxy." he stated with a small nod of his head.
He gave a little nod of his head, "I... haven't helped before... it is new." He murmured honestly to him as they moved along, his eyes moving between looking at the girl, at Gera, and then looking around to memorize the area around so he could write stuff down later. If he wrote it down he would be able to get out of home when it was time to head in that direction.
Gera thought on it a bit and then nodded his head, he supposed it was new for Dei. Though this was all very new to him as well.
"I can't...fix what happened with Roxy..." he continued casting a look out of the corner of his eye. "She is scared when she sees me and the color red..."
"Well... it is good that you are blue then, instead of red." He told Gera, not really sure what had happened to make Gera go red, "So long as you don't be red it should be alright, right?" He really didn't know for certain, it was a guess on his part whether or not that were true. He could only hope so since he would rather Gera be happy... or at least his version of happy. Gera with emotions of any sort was different.

Dei's First Illness
Deimos had been a bit on the tired side for a day or so after his last meeting with Gera and after meeting the girl Roxy and he wasn't all to sure why. He'd not really done anything out of the ordinary passed carrying the girl for a short while and even then he'd been tired before he'd done that. Perhaps he needed to consider taking a short break from his journies outside since they always seemed to be so eventful... and eventful wasn't something that Deimos could say that he liked in the least bit. Sure it was nice to be able to meet new people, provided that they weren't to terribly scary to look upon and deal with, but aside from that he'd say that most things outside of his house were just to much for him.
For a couple of days the pink haired boy had done little more then sleep. When he wasn't sleeping he was eating, getting a bath, or moving from one place to another so that he could sleep in a different area of the house, in a different position, and otherwise make himself more comfortable. Then on day two feeling all over tired had finally given way to him getting sick, just as he'd thought he would end up sick. He couldn't know that it wasn't so much Roxy's germs that had made him ill as his body just having been weakened greatly by channeling several of his powers in rapid succession including one that he'd never used before. He was still completely unaware that he'd even used the power since it had been due to an emotional response triggered by his feelings toward the little blond girl.
It had been jealousy, annoyance, and anger, followed by fear, pity, then sympathy... a huge mess of emotions that it would seem also weakened him as much as they exhausted him. He wasn't used to those other negative emotions, normally he just felt fear and was led by that emotion more then others. From time to time there were nice ones, happiness and contentment, but they were more rare then the emotion that he normally lived by. What had to be the worst was that he had really no idea where the feelings had stemmed from... alright, some of them were to do with the fact that she had stolen his notebook that had the way home written down in it but it couldn't have been just that. No, it was something else as well but what exactly was still become the emotional grasp of the young child.
The boy had been curled up in a ball, wrapped completely up in one of his Momma's pretty robes, the dark blue one with the pretty star pattern, when he was found by Jiang. He was a shivering mess by then, running a fever, and otherwise looking and sounding miserable. The Kirin had been more then a little startled, checking his vitals, checked his forehead to test his fever, then scooped him up so he could hurry off to get him to the Doctor as soon as it was possible leaving a note behind for Reu and Wynn when they returned home. Jiang did his best, getting him to where they were going though once he got there and he was with the doctor having his son looked over he burst into tears, never one who did well with stress especially when he was alone.
A lot of tests that the boy didn't really recall much about later and the boy was curled on on a hospital bed, his legs having faded away to take back on their wispy form once more, while his Momma talked things over with the doctor, what medicines he should be taking, some vitimins that he needed since he didn't eat the most well rounded diet due to not liking meat, that he would need plenty of rest and fluids, as well as a list of other things. Jiang was nodding along with every word told to him, wanting to take the best possible care of his son, feeling badly as he knew Deimos emulated his diet without being a herbavore by nature like the Kirin was. He and the Doctor both couldn't have known a major drain of his energy could possibly be linked to his powers and the use of them as such they followed the most likely of courses to help Deimos get better.
By the time they got home both were completely and utterly exhausted, Deimos was given his medicine before he was tucked into bed with the kirin curling up next to around around him in a protective manner to look after him.

Dei and the Beast
Deimos was sitting on the front porch of the house, kept safely inside the screened in area while watching the way the world was moving by in front of him. He gave a bit of a yawn, still as sleepy as ever, still recovering but he was still happy, doing well. He was in a better mood as it would seem the medicine and vitamins were working to make him feel a bit better. He still had no motivation for leaving the house at the moment though he was thinking on the idea. It was intimidating, both times he went out things had gotten a little out of hand. The first time he'd gotten chased by that awful, one eyed cat and the second time he'd gotten all mixed up emotionally though he wasn't sure why. He wasn't to good with people... he was afraid of them more often then not and when he was able to meet with them, able to finally relax around them, it was because he was able to find something about them that wasn't as scary.
With Gera it was the fact that he seemed somewhat robotic in his actions and thus less scary, with Kay it was his cheerful attitude which made him impossible to find scary... aside from his skull and snake parts, and then there was Anon who would likely have scared the life out of in any other situation but he liked because the other boy had saved him. As little as he wanted to go outside he found himself wondering if he should do it none the less. Going out there was... frightening beyond belief, the people, the things, the animals, even the plants could present danger to him and to others making him tremble at just the thought but out there were potential friends... He lifted his head to look out once more when his entire body tensed up as he saw something walking up the walkway toward where he was sitting...
Though he realized he was standing now, starring wide eyed, "W-Why... why are you here!" He squeaked out as the one eyed cat approached. It got to the steps, walked up them and then hopped up to stand in the railing outside the screen watching him through its good eye. He starred, in shock and silence, as it sat down and starred at him. Then it started to make a strange sound that made Deimos tremble violently as he thought at first that the creature was growling at him... but after a long moment he suddenly seemed to realize what it was.. it wasn't growling, was it? No... it was... it was purring? He felt dazed, why would a cat that had tried to eat him want to purr at him now? Why would it be friendly now when it had chased him around not that long ago?
A thought suddenly occurred to him... what if the cat wasn't chasing him down to make a meal of him? What if... what if it just wanted him to pick it up? Carry it around? Do all the things that normal people did with pets? What if it had thought he was playing some sort of game when he'd run away from it? Deimos was suddenly drowning in guilt... he must have made the cat so sad the way that he'd run away from it like that he thought as he moved in a very slow manner toward the door to the porch, pushing it open so that the cat could come inside, "H-Here you are... you c-can come in." He told the creature and it did just that, slipping inside and walked over to hop up on the porch swing, laying down on it as though it owned it. The pinked haired boy gave a smile and walked slowly, cautiously over to sit down next to the cat and reached over to pet it ever so carefully. It responded by purring sounded, pushing up against his hand, then finally crawled into his lap before lounging there in a lazy manner.
It was frightening, but interesting, he had a friendly beast laying on him... it looked like it had been in more then one fight which made it an intimidating creature but at the same time it was... acting so happy. He couldn't help but to pet it, hug it, love it, and then fall asleep with it on the porch swing. He was still tired and the appearance of the feline had only helped to exhaust him once again, "Your a... nice kitty..." He murmured, his last words before he was out of it once again.

Growth Prompt:
Our little scaredy cat is growing up, little by little! Not only had he ventured out on his own a few times, but he also broke out of his shell and allowed a bad luck (and mildly creepy looking) feline into his life! Things are moving forwards from him...everywhere but at home, that is. Suddenly, while still a comforting place, home feels...a little off, somehow. Despite the care and affection his Guardian has given, Deimos is beginning to feel a little restless with his current lot in life. Is there any way he can get rid of this restless feeling of his? Does he do it? Will all the advances he made in his own outlook help or hinder him?

Our First Real Adventure
Deimos loved his family, despite the scary parts of his parents and the fact that he seemed to have terrible luck when it came to spending any time with Wynn, but he felt strangely... cooped up of late. The boy was sitting on the front porch of the house, looking out over things from the screened in porch with Gigantes laying across his lap with either side of the massive cat lounging on the porch swing they were sitting on. He reached on hand over to pick up his notebook, looking the contents over. They were directions that made sense only to the pink haired boy. Listed was how to get to a couple of locations via the names of streets of course but also the land markers, the number of steps it took him, how many sections of sidewalk, how many streets that needed to be crossed, things like that. The crossing the street part was the worst... he'd tried to avoid doing that but learned it only brought him in one big circle if he didn't. It was a useful discovery of course but not one that helped him out very much when it came to getting anywhere.
The sound of birds chattering drew Deimos's attention away from his notebook and up to looking at them. He watched the way that they were flying around in circles, up into the air, back down, and seemed to be unafraid of anything... he envied them a little. He knew that they could crash, that the wind could blow them in a bad direction, or something like Gigantes could eat them. The list of bad things that might happen went on and on in his mind and he looked down at his cat who was in fact leering at the bird with his one good eye.
Gigan sizing them up and how good they might taste. At the same time the cat wasn't moving, he knew he could get free food inside with minimal effort so he didn't seem to have any desire to get up and move since he was currently keeping Deimos's legs warm and that was a terribly important job... not to mention that the cat had no desire to share the boy. The only reason he had shared with that metal based creature was due to the fact that milk was involved and he'd wanted some. The cat set to purring when Deimos's hand hit just the right spot on his body, tail lashing behind him in delightedly. It was something that made the boy smile a bit.
"I think... I want to go for another walk." He murmured, thinking on something for a moment. It was... a lot farther then he'd ever gone before he realized as he thought about it. Either place that he wanted to go to was... very much far away but at the same time he wanted to go. He wanted to be able to see Kay, see Anon, and not be brought there by anyone. To be able to do something on his own despite the fact that the world outside the porch was terrifying with its people, dogs, cars, thieves, pollution, and bright fiery colors. He was trembling already just at the thought of leaving home and he could only imagine how many streets he was going to have to cross to get to where either of those two lived. He wished that he knew where Gera lived as well... he might be able to see him too he thought to himself as he closed his notebook and set it aside on the swing, "Gigan, I am going to get my map. Do you want to wait here? Or do you want to come with me?"
The cat gave a long yawn before oozing out of Deimos's lap, laying next to the notebook and flicked an ear at the boy as though to tell him to go ahead and get his map, that he would wait here for his return. Deimos starred at the cat with his bright blue eyes for a moment before he got up to his feet and headed inside the house. He found himself wondering idly what else he was going to need for this journey. He should probably bring a snack for himself he thought and definitely needed one of them for Gigantes, bringing a drink was essential as the last time he was out walking he ended up quite thirsty without anything to drink, and... money. He wasn't sure what he would need it for but he was sure that it would be a good idea to have some, everyone always had some.
He nodded before heading into his room first, getting a small bag that he owned and picked up his map. He looked it over with a fond smile on his face, it was a gift from Anon and as such meant a lot to him since gifts were very special things. He looked it over, ran a finger over the name that was written on it, as well as the markings for where he lived and where Anon lived. He gave a little wince as he looked at all the space between them... that was a long ways... he shook his head as he tried to force away the giant flood of reasons for why he shouldn't go. Everything from being hit by a car to random raptor attacks to tetanus went through his mind as he headed out of his room with his bag over one shoulder as he approached the most frightening room in the house. He stood in the door way, starring at the cabinets that held all manner of dangers items from knives, to glasses that could fall and kill someone when they broke to forks that had four prongs worth of stabbing bits. He shivered, took in a deep breath, then headed inside.
He hated this room the most of all in all of the house, even the bathroom with all of the water and chemicals, and the giant mirror wasn't as bad as this one. He made his way slowly across from one side to the other, looked around, reached a hand out to open the cabinet. He starred inside and got out a few packets of fruits snacks, some granola bars, and a couple bottles of water to put into his bag. Next was going about the slow going chore that was filling a plastic baggy with cat food. When that was done he quickly abandoned the kitchen and stood outside of it shaking like a leaf.
From there the boy went to check in on his Momma, wondering where he was at at the moment. He couldn't say that he was surprised to find him sleeping at the moment, the kirin was as delicate as Deimos was frightened of everything. As such he was often seen taking afternoon naps to recharge. He gave him a smile, reaching a hand out to stroke it over his rainbow colored hair before he headed back to the porch, "Alright Gigan, I have everything." He told the cat.
Gigantes stood up, stretched out all over, then picked up the notebook before he hopped down and moved over to where his Deimos stood. The pink haired boy took the notebook with a smile then moved to open up the door of the porch, "Come on, lets see who we should meet first." The first step in the journey would be to take the map the Gas station, the people there often knew directions and maybe they would know where the shop that Kay lived at was. He could figure out from there which of the two places he wanted to go was closest and go from there. If he were lucky maybe Kay would know where Gera's house was!
Despite his fear Deimos was feeling... excited as well as he and Gigan headed of the porch and on their way on their first real adventure.

With Kay, Gera, and Gigan!: Part One
(( Done via AIM with Jay and Enoh ))
It took more time then expected, the distance on a map didn't really give one a lot help with determining actual distance. It had looked really short on his map but it took him so much time going by foot. He was a bit on the exhausted time by the time he got across town to where the shop was supposed to be. Only problem being that the shop wasn't here. He tilted his head to one side, a hand coming to rest on one hip, "I don't remember it being a burger place Gigan." He told his giant of a cat.
The cat starred up at the sign that read Burger Town and gave a mewing sound. This was most certainly not the shop that his boy had been talking that was for sure, it had food not random items... the cat's tail swishing behind him and he gave a cute mewing sound and nuzzled against Deimos, tail swishing, then looked up at him with one glittering gold eye as if to say 'see how cute I am, buy me something?'
Deimos looked down at his cat for a long moment before kneeling down to gather him up in his arms and picked him up best that he could given how big he was and hugged him, "Kitties aren't allowed in there, Gigan... I suppose we could walk through the drive through and order though..." He looked thoughtful at the idea.before nodding and started forward. Going this way mean talking to some stranger but it would put him outside and safely out of reach of said strangers. He should be safe enough he thought and if not he could always let the hungry cat eat the scary people...
Xbalanque was starving. Absolutely starving. He felt like he hadn't eaten in days! Well...that wasn't entirely true. He actually had a massive breakfast, a bigger dinner, and several snacks in between. It wasn't that he hadn't eaten...it was just that he was a very active and growing boy! He needed his nutrients! Thus, he was going out for food...but there was no way he was going alone! That was way too boring! So he found someone he could drag along; Gera. He would have asked Roxy, but for whatever reason he either couldn't find her or she wasn't allowed to. That was okay with him though, Gera was still great company, even if he didn't eat! The burger place came into sight, and with it came a...rather familiar shade of pink hair. Albeit further off the ground than he remembered, but it was familiar enough. Getting that 'Curio Nearby!' vibe also helped. "Oh, hey...I know that pink hair!" He told Gera happily, pointing at the figure in the distance before calling out loudly. "DEEEEEEIMOS! HEY!"
Gera wasn't quite sure how he ended up accompanying Kay to the place that served food. Didn't he know that he didn't eat? Of course Kay did know and he was still not sure as to why he was coming. Especially since Roxy wasn't accompanying them. He was quiet on the way there listening to Kay talk he had little to say in the conversation though he did turn his head when Kay was suddenly announcing Deimos's name and then pointing to the pink hair boy.
He looked up, he waved as he was starting to understand a bit of the ...greetings of people.
"Hello Deimos." He replied after Kay in a much more...quiet manner.
Deimos gave a jump at the sound of his own name, turning quickly to look over his shoulder then sighed in relief. He thought that he'd been found by someone from his own family before he'd been able to find... wait a second! "Kay! Gera!" He turned and ran over toward them, despite his fear of running to fast as he always fears falling down on his head... he didn't want to get a scrap that got infected, didn't want to break anything, but two of the three people he was looking for were right here! He came to a sliding halt in front of them, while a part of the boy wanted to pounce them and hug them he didn't want to offend either of them... another of his fears.
There was a huffing sound from Gigan and he turned to follow after his boy, wanting his dinner but wanting more to protect his boy from strangers... and there was nobody stranger then these two if you asked him.
"Whoooa...didn't think ya had that in ya, buddy!" Kay laughed after watching Deimos run towards them. Ever friendly, the young man tugged Deimos into a hug, then stepped back. Nahual seemed okay with the close contact, as he recalled the pink haired one to be suitably afraid of him. "Oh...I thought there was something different! You grew! And still have feet, awesome." Grinning, he looked down at their feet; Deimos' sandled ones, Gera's booted ones, and his nearly constantly bare ones. Feet were still pretty cool. Kay was still very hungry, but hunger could take a side burner to seeing Deimos again. "Whattcha doin out all alone, eh?"
Gera watched as Deimos ran towards them, strange he had never envisioned the boy running before. Probably because he had never seen the boy run ever. He watched as Kay dragged Dei into a hug, and he wondered if he was suppose to do the same...but instead he only offered a hand, if Dei wanted a hug he would ask for one he guessed.
"Yes..you have grown tall.." He echoed Kay's thoughts there were times he wished he could process emotions better...be more like the two boys..but he couldn't think past the fact he was...just so very different from them.
"He is not..alone..Gigantes...is with him." Gera noted as he watched the cat come to keep up with his boy. He knelt and offered hand to the creature as he recalled that the cat didn't like him much last time.
Deimos gave a happy sound as Kay pulled him in for the hug that he had been thinking about, happily hugging him back... though he kept one eye on the hair snake, a little bit nervous around Nahual still as he didn't want to get himself chewed on by that particular part of Kay. He leaned into his friend for a moment before he drew back, giving him a smile... then looked a little confused, "I what?" He looked down at himself, noticing the sleeves of his robe did look shorter... and he was showing a bit more leg then when he'd left home... hrm. He hadn't noticed, maybe that was the dizzy spell he'd had earlier? Here he'd just thought it was something to do with being so far away from home on his own.
He looked over at Gera then took his other friend's hand, lacing their fingers together, having thought that maybe Gera wanted to hold hands with him, "Ahh... its strange, I came out trying to find the two of you." He explained, sounding excited and a little breathless over his luck in having found them both as he had.
Gigantes looked up at Gera as the hand was offered up to him, starred, sat down, and stuck his nose in the air, ignoring the metal boy. He didn't have milk this time around which meant he was out of luck when it came to making friends with the snobby cat. Strange that he could act so elitist since before Deimos had taken him in he was a stray fighting for his meals with other cats. That was then, this was now though.
"Gigantes?" Kay parroted, staring at Gera then looking around for this...Gigantes person. But there was nobody else around! Maybe he meant the cat? Blinking, he tilted his head...the cat did look like it deserved that name...big cat. "Huh...guess so...When'd you get the cat?" Now that it was pointed out, Nahual noticed it...and hissed lightly before curling up in Kay's hair. A snobbish move, but no feline was going to show him up! "You came to find us? Cool! Good timing, then! I'm starving, I wanted to get me some burgers and dragged Gera along for company." Kay explained with a grin, shaking his head. Sure he didn't really DRAG Gera, but it was damned close enough! He saw the big cat more or less snob Gera, and with a laugh he stepped closer, holding out his dark and scarred hand to try his own luck with the beast.
Gera was a bit surprised to have the cat snub him...he seemed to ...well accept him well enough last time. Though he was pretty sure it was because of the fact he was going to the store.
"Maybe...get something for Gigantes at the restaurant...they have fish there?" He inquired as he never ate out except for one time with Trin and Roxy at a Chinese buffet.
He ...had been about to pull his hand away from Deimos but found their fingers intertwined...and not wanting to be rude tried to keep his hand lax as he didn't want to accidentally crush the boy's fingers with his own and thus laid their arms down by their sides. O..kay this was new.
Gigan seemed to ignore Kay as well and only turned at mention of fish from the metal one and suddenly he was purring, once more he was Gera's friend it would appear. So long as food was involved he could share his affection with others other then Dei.. but only then.
The pink haired boy looked down at this cat before giving a shake of his head. Well, at least he was easy to figure out he thought to himself before he looked at Kay, smiling, "Really? We... ended up here because of bad directions, this was supposed to be the shop... but its not." He murmured, wondering how far off he was from here he'd been trying to get to. He seemed quite happy over having found his friends despite having gone to the wrong place, "If your going to eat I would love to eat with you guys... though Gigan can't go inside I don't think since hes a cat."
Gigantes gave an unamused sort of huffing sound at mention that cats couldn't go inside. How racist! His ears laid back and he looked displeased over the fact that he was allowed inside the restaurant but everyone else was!
"They might have fish...some places do." Kay would eat fish on occasion, but he loved beef way more. But...bad directions? Kay looked at Deimos for a moment, contemplating the way to the shop, then pointed down the street, the way they came. "Maybe you turned left instead of right?" Unless he came from a totally different direction but...well, at least he tried! The young man was well aware that he was being ignored by the cat, and at first he thought nothing of it...but once the feline looked offended, Kay laughed and knelt down more to the cat's level, ruffling the fur on it's head before scratching under its chin. "We'll eat outside then, so Mr. Kitty here doesn't get angry." He suggested happily, fearlessly touching and petting the black thing. "Fair enough?"
Gera nodded his head listening to the pair discuss the subject of eating. Really..he would just let his portion go to the cat, he didn't need food. Unless they had some form of metallic silverware he could absorb. He squeezed Dei's hand unconsciously, like he was flexing his fingers before he looked to Kay and then Dei and then back to Gigan.
"I can stay outside...with the cat. Not like I can provide much in the way of tastes and preferences..." he explained as he knew he would feel bad if he left the cat outside even for a couple of minutes. It seemed really attached to Dei.

Night at the Graveyard: Part 1
The pink haired boy looked at his map, up at the place he was standing at, then down again, "Am I lost again?" He asked of Gigan, surely this couldn't be the wrong place because Anon had marked it on the map with his own two hands but... here was, standing at the gates of a graveyard shaking like a leave caught up in a tornado. This couldn't be the place, could it? It was so... scary. Made even more so because the sun was starting to go down and... he was pretty sure he just heard a wolf howling somewhere in the distance. While it was more likely it was just a dog his mind didn't work in such a manner, it always instantly went to whatever was the scariest and focused on that. So he was standing at the gates of a graveyard, it was getting dark, he was alone aside from his cat, there were wolves, and he didn't have any clue where Anon was...
He gave a whimpering sound as the howls got closer and he looked from side to side, found no place to hide as it was just sidewalk for as long as he could see, so he ducked quickly into the graveyard, ducking behind the closest head stone, eyes squeezed shut. There was the sound of foot steps as the dogs, and they were just dogs ran on passed in a group. Because he only heard their steps and didn't seem them he assumed it was a pack of wolves and as such remained ducked down until he didn't hear them or their howls anymore. By that time it had gotten that much darker and all of the headstones under the light of moon were looking that much scarier. He was sure that a monster was going to jump out at anymore moment to eat him!
What lived in graveyards? Zombies for sure, vampires as well, werewolves? Were those things that just went by werewolves instead of plain wolves? There might be witches as well, grave robbers, skeletons, ghosts... He was shaking all over as all these ideas came into mind. He pushed to his feet and started forward, looking from side to side as he tried to decide where to go next, if he would be able to find Anon here, or if he was even in the right place.
There was a loud screech as an owl flew over head, a sound echoed by Deimos's own shriek... and then the boy was collapsing into a heap as all of the fears he'd had building up in him about monsters attacking came to a head as the owl flew by making that terrible sound.
Gigan looked down at the unconscious boy before sighing and moved over to curl up onto of him protectively.
The sun was starting to set, and Anon's internal clock had him waking up. The room was dark, pitch dark, but that was to be expected; it used to be a crypt under the Funeral home! The home had tried to convert it into a regular basement. That plan failed since there were no windows, it was a safety hazard...then it was ignored half way through. They managed to get some electrical wiring done, and there was a bathroom set up before the work was shut down. Luckily it was never cut off from power or the water supply, and that worked out for him, since that was where he chose to stay. He flicked on a light switch that was near the little alcove where he made his bed then got dressed, making sure his face was completely hidden as always before exiting the crypt through the door, turning all the lights back off. He was greeted as always by the night shift workers that were starting to come in, and given some things to work on, and then shooed away until they decided they needed him for an errand.
The kid that vaguely smelled of formaldehyde heard the human shriek when he left the building to step into the grave yard, and with a hilt of his head he investigated the noise. Naturally though, he brought a shovel with him. Just in case it was another zombie, of course! Man he hated zombies...he was only strong enough to hit them hard enough to let him go, but he always had to go to the night crew to get their help in finishing it off. Damn zombies!A little investigation later and he found a human-esque heap on the ground with a...rather large cat curled up on him. The cat looked rather familiar, but when he saw the pink hair, he knew it had to be Deimos! Then the cat was the one that had chased him! How odd. Shoving the shovel blade first into the ground, he approached the heap with his hands up, showing himself to be unarmed, and knelt down to the unconscious boy, placing a gloved hand on his shoulder and shaking lightly.
Gigan looked up at the strangely scented child, gave a low sound in his throat like a growl before he took a step back allowing Anon to tend to Deimos but not before he told him if he did anything other then look after him that he would be forced to defend him with tooth and claw.
It took a moment for Deimos to come too, his blue eyes fluttering before they opened up to gaze at the one above him, "Hrm... Anon? Is that scary monster gone?" He asked of his friend, hoping the screeching creature had decided to leave instead of sticking around to make another attempt on his life... he was pretty sure that he'd lost many years off his life due to the heart attack he'd just experienced.
Anon bowed his head to the cat when he was growled at, showing in his own way that he understood. When Deimos came to, Anon smiled, his lips still being the only sure thing you could see on his face - stitches excluded. Again his head tilted, but he looked up and around the empty yard. Monster? But...there wasn't anything anywhere near them! The monsters that came from the grave yard probably wouldn't have left Deimos alive or in one piece, so it was safe to assume he had been imagining things. So he looked back down at the pink haired one and nodded, holding out a gloved hand in case Deimos wanted help standing. As skittish as the boy was it was impressive that he was here in the first place! He wanted to ask about the visit...but alas, until he had some paper and a pen he could not.
Deimos gave a happy smile when Anon let him know that the monster had in fact gone away, that was good... that think made such a terrible sound! He sat up, cheeks flushing a little, "I am... so glad I found you! I followed the map but... but I wasn't sure if I got the right place." He told him, looking around for a moment before he scooted a little closer to his friend. He didn't much care for this scary place, it was to much like a horror movie.
Oh...so Deimos didn't know it was a cemetery? Huh. When Deimos scooted closer, the odd smelling kid hugged him, petting lightly at his pink hair and trying to be comforting. After a moment he stood up, helping Deimos to his feet; naturally noticing he was much bigger than last time! Holding Deimos' hand with their fingers entwined, he led his friend away from the graveyard, through the funeral home and to the door that led to his crypt-basement. Of course he stopped at the door, making a motion for Deimos to stay where he was before opening it and disappearing into the pitch black, the stairs creaking as he made his way down. A few moments later the lights came on and Anon appeared at the base of the stairs, motioning for Deimos to come down and to close the door behind him.
The crypt itself was stone and elegantly decorated, some very large cubbyholes in the walls where coffins should have gone, yet they were all empty, save for one that was piled with pillows and blankets; apparently that was the one Anon slept in. There was another one that seemed to be a book shelf of sorts, stacked with books, magazines and piles upon piles of notebooks and notepads (both new, mostly new, and used), pens, pencils..everything he used to communicate. It was safer down here, right? No scary monsters here.Well, present company excluded.
