Saiku the Vampire
mkay... so everyone knows inuyasha. HOW THE HELL DOES THE SWORD MAGICALLY CHANGE LENGTH!?!?!?!?!?!?! it makes no sense.....
I'm not to keen on Inu's sword but in true real life mythology I can tell you why Masamune does it
biggrin Masamune, Sephi's blade, is a no'dachi. In mythology there was a kodachi called murumasa that was possessed by an evil spirit and would turn on its owner. Long story short, after it was infused with alchemy/magic (different tellings say different things) the sword became almost unbreakable and more lengthy, thus becoming a no'dachi. It was then on called Masamune and could extend upon the owner's will. Vampire Hunter D also has this mythical blade and if you saw the original 80's anime, he breaks it at one point and the next instant it is whole again but the broken piece is inside the enemy. He also makes it grow to kill a giant on a bridge.
So maybe Inu's sword was based on it?
Oh and if anyone knows why the name changed from murumasa to Masamune please let me know. I feel the words have a meaning.
