lostmymindinmanga I'm sure that all musicians, guard, and dancers would agree with me on this one......... Band Directors just LOVE saying these three words....... "ONE MORE TIME!!!!" *can't feel my feet* lol maybe its a universal band director thing. hah mine says that all the time too

Yeah, we even had a motivational speaker come talk to us and some other bands, and he mentioned that fact

One of the things we like to do in Marching Band is when we're going to take it from the top, we (the marchers) say "from the top, from the top, from the top WHOOT WHOOT!!"

Gosh! My directors three favorites words are either "Do it again!" or to plenty of people who just suck, "ROLL YOUR FEET!" I dread hearing both, because I hate doing it again when people aren't marching correctly! >.<

One more time....everyone who is band knows that is defitnaly a lie and that it would be more then one time

My director has one favourite word throughout every season: concert, jazz, marching.
"AGAIN."
His favourite thing in marching band, though...
"AGAIN!...What? No, you can't have water! No breaks until we get some work done! Jeez....It's not THAT hot! Try marching in Florida! Stop complaining. Opening set!"
(any '...' means the band/students respond and/or complain)

my old band director threatend us with celbritory laps if we were being lazy so we all hated hearing
Stop being lazy or we will celebrate
this years band director is like so laid back that he uses the main ones and he also uses a lot of roll your feet

Our band director is definately a fan of "Run it back." He will actually ask us what our favorite part is and we're supposed to say that it's running it back.
The one more time thing, yeah, that's definately a lie. My band director admits that as well. He tells us, "I'm saying one more time but you know that probably means three times." And that's generally the case. Nearing the end of the season, it's common that we'll finish the entire show and he'll say run it back so we have to perform the entire show over again. Sometimes we even do it three times in a row with the only break we have during the running it back.

Oh, and I love how everyone makes a big deal about a 60 yar run in football, when we can outrun them anytime. Plus, we always have 60-70 yard runs.
