"No," Savith repeated, mind reaching out to Dewpaw and keep her from trying to clamber on him with the gentle even pressure of a father's arm, while he worked to get the weapon's rope coiled neatly. The tone wasn't harsh yet, but was more serious, less yielding, than the first 'No' given, and his eyes narrowed slightly, as if he were biting back saying any more.

Dewpaw's haggling face reverted back to a pout as quickly as it had come, "Fine," she muttered. "Then you don't get to see my daggers." She turned slightly away from Savith, as if giving him the cold shoulder. If someone was paying attention, they oculd hear a constant stream of muttering coming from beneath teh young cub's lips. "So unfair. adults never let me see anything. Its not like I was going to hurt someone..." and so on it went. Dewpaw was a sore loser and stubborn, but she knew when she wasn't going to get anywhere, sometimes.

As Dew's attention waned from his weapon, Savith straightened, clipped the coiled whip to his hip, and began cleaning up his work space, putting the tools he uses to open the handle back into their carrying case.

Dancer lay on a large rock across the water from Savith and Dew. A wide smile on her face as she watched them. Yes pestering from Dew was good for him she thought till her ears just caught the sound of Llune and her bright tones making her way to the water. Turning her head she looked but waited for Llune to get closer before greeting her. Looking back at the pouting dew Dancer flicked a bit of water at her, "Oh stop your pouting cub. You know how Savith is. I bet he wouldn't let any of us touch it." She chuckled and laughed in that little bird way she had of doing when she was truly happy. "Besides you will have to help me get through this white sleep." Her body slightly shivering at the thought. "It sounds just awful."

Savith had yet to hear his mother's approach, too preoccupied by a keeping a grabby cub away from his weapon. Once all his items were back where they belonged, he closed his backpack, tied the laces up tight, and set it behind his back. "It's not that bad," Savith quipped lightly, moving to lean back on his hands. "At least, unless it snows for months on end."

"Months on end?!" poor Dancer's well tanned face turned nearly white as the snow they spoke of. "Oh High Ones no! Tell me you are not serious." She looked like she might cry at any moment. It was a bit much for the tropic elfess to understand.

"Completely. The top of the mountain where I lived was snow capped pretty much all year 'round," Savith replied, a smirk forming at Dancer's paling cheeks. "In fact, there's a place, far to the north, where it's always snowing." A touch of malice peeked out, looking for a place to dance in his gaze as the grin broadened.

When Dew finished pestering Savith, having taken Dancers words to heart and knowing Savith would never give her teh bright-metal now, she slid off the rock. Her ears twitched as she heard approaching footsteps. She turned in the direction tehy were coming from, and easily picke dup Llune's scent on the light breeze. 'Maybe she'll get Savith to hand over the brightmetal,' Dew thought to herself. But too impatient to stand and wait, Dew decided a little swim would be nice, in water that didn't smell so strongly of salt. "Swim, anyone?" she asked, before jumping in, only bothering to take off her daggers and scraf, leaving her shirt and shorts on.

Dancer winced hearing Savith speak. This white sleep sounded awful. Worse and worse her mind made images to send her into a near panic. Her breathing getting hard as she stood. "No... Nothing like that! I don't want to freeze or be stuffed away in some hole in a wall. I'm not made for such things!" Tears started to stream her cheeks. Was she having a nervous breakdown or a panic attack? Maybe the young cat elfess just needed a time out?

Savith blinked at Dancer's reaction, then shook his head with a snicker, a cold grin slipping across his features as he turns toward the pool Dewpaw just jumped into. **Sure, if you'll save some water for me,** he replied toward the cub's mind, send twinged with that slightly cruel bit of mirth. Ah, even if it doesn't snow, winter ought to be amusing with Dancer around. At least, it'll be far more entertaining than last winter. Honestly, the most interesting thing that happened was the sky falling down.

Dancer found it hard to breath suddenly. Her heart throbbing in her hears... Was she seeing colors in a blur? Was it hot, really hot? Her body swayed slightly. Finally she gasped softly, "No... No winter." and fell over into the water.

Savith blinked, stunned that Dancer would fall over, that at first, he seemed not to react, but then he lurched forward, jumping into the water feet first, leathers and all, to pull Dancer's head up and clear of the surface.

Dew had been facing away from Dancer, so she didn't see the catelf fall in. She heard a splash, but assumed it was just Dancer joining her for a swim. it wasn't until she saw Savith jump in and fly by her that she turned to look. In an instant, as fast as she could move in the water, Dew was at Savith's side, staring at Dancer. *High Ones! I she okay? What happened? Did she faint? Or pass out? Wait, thats the same thing* Dew's send was slightly frantic as she looked over Dancer, not really sure how to tell if an elf was okay or not, unless there was blood.

It took a few moments but Dancer coughed and sputtered. The color slowly returning to her face as she looked around a moment. "W.... What happened? How did I get in the water?" She noted the consern on Savith and Dew's face. "Is everything alright?" She seemed a bit confused and disoriented but fine otherwise.
