A small voice caught her attention, questions on the state of things? Melis shook her head and sneered, what needed to be explained? Fire does not write with pen and paper but scorches madly, with a passion that cannot be matched. Her eyes glowed with more vigor than before, a finger cutting through the winding smoke as it drifted off. The flames began to lick the crow’s heels with fervor and soon she saw the emergence of multiple faces. It appeared they had all shared a common fate, left to expel whenever the little beast wished. Melis tilted her chin upward, delighting in the sting of the blaze about her. Few things can bring a pyro more joy than flame let loose. She could feel the spelled flare that forever trailed behind her body begin to rage as well and before she knew it she had set the tree ablaze.

"Drama queen" kaiba dared to mutter beneath his breath, even as he was stepping back a few paces to hide behind triton. The cat did not scare him so much as it terrified him. Few things gave the evil little poe such an uneasy feeling in his stomach as this demonic cat did.
"Strings of fate eh? I call them strings of madness cat..I have a feeling that this evil creatures existence is some how your doing" the hylian shrugged slightly, glancing down with a small giggle at kaiba..it was just to funny. "Im sure none of us wish to die in a blaze though! As fun as you might find it...Im sure we all agree to follow your orders on this, serious matter" triton smiled gazing around the now large crowd, he realized now that he had never met any of these people before..So many new faces, so many species. Fairys and scarecrows and humans..
Kaiba snuck back a bit further as triton talked, going to stalk around the little female and her fairy.."He wants us to sell him our souls, thats whats going on!" the poe hissed in a whisper teasingly before stalking his way back to his companion.

Veaka's head whipped around to the poe, then relaxed. He seemed wild and evil and dark. At least he wasn't Espei. She turned back to the cat, her eyes blue and feral. Orina wasn't so quiet. "What do you mean, our souls?!" the little fairy shrieked with characteristic hysteria
Veaka winced at the high-pitched voice. But she was quickly distracted.. A TREE WAS ON FIRE!!! REal fire, not the eerie spectral flames that danced wildly and burned only the faces.
"PUT THAT OUT! OUT! OUT!"
yelped Veaka, wanting to leap at the scarecrow... but something prevented her. Animal instinct or plain wariness, the same thing that restrained Orina into anxious circles around Veaka's head, an undeserved halo of purple light.

Yoske almost laughed at Kaiba. Well, really, she couldn't sell hers, now could she. the curse had taken good care of that. Triton seemed to be in his element, surrounded by new people and creatures. Good for him. She was happy to stay in the shadows. Her order were rarely people people. But she didn't laugh, didn't cry, doubted she could cry anyway. The forest child... Kokiri... that Kaiba had whispered to seemed very agitated about something. Yoske looked. Oh. A tree was in flames. Well, that would make a forest child mad, now wouldn't it. Well, she, yoske, had nothing to do with that, and Why should she reveal her position to the other's eyes? Over a tree? Of course the cat knew she was there, hanging in the shadows of trees. Cats, in Yoske's experience, Always knew more than they let on, and certainly more than they bothered to care about. Her main concern was the other 'mortals.' It might be a good idea to hide herself from them, keeping herself as a hidden advantage to Triton. Hidden even to him and Kaiba. Besides, If she was hidden, she could see more than if she was loose. But, even with these thoughts, a bit of impatience clouded her mind. She wanted to know what was going on. This preliminary was taking far too long.

It laughed. And, laughed. And, then stopped.
The flames went out like a spark, leaving only the remains of burning in the form of charred ground and trees. "Silence, o' young ones." It let the flames of the scarecrow grow, for just a moment, before those flames began to waver and draw towards the cat, not increasing in size but simply seeming to move like a living entity.
The feline grinned widely.
The strange flame of the scarecrow scorched the area around the cat, before seeming to join together with the flames on lit on its paws. "Hush." It called, confident because its reservoir of tricks was far from over. "Not far from here, there's an underground passageway that leads... below rivers.. below most things.. it'll lead to it."

Kaiba snickered at first..the poor fairy. Wincing as the thing screeched about the flames, thinking hed heard something off in the leaves. Was it there dear yoske finally returned? Maybe maybe not, he wasnt sure..he knew the woman would be lurking though and it made the evil little poe feel a tad safer..eech..well at least he thought it made him feel safer. Bright eyes gazing around there gathered group, even the glow of them diminished as the cat put on his show. A shiver running down the poes spine as he ducked back behind triton, feeling the man take a step back from the cat even. It was..eerily frightening,t he control, that look on the cats face.
Triton ignored kaiba for the most part, almost snickering when the poe scared the poor fairy. He would have had it not been for the cats call of silence. The creature suddenly seeming to take on a more powerful commanding tone then before. Shivering even as he took a step back for safety, watching the flames grown and shrink under the creatures demands.. It was actually..scary..Swallowing softly as he listened to the cats rather specific instructions, even though the demonic thing still failed to mention exactly what 'it' was.

Veaka was obviously relieved. She hated fire. Though it was wild and devastating, it burned. nonetheless, she was fascinated at how the flames seemed drawn to this cat. Orina was less fascinated and more scared. She knew of no passageway... "just... where..."

Melis felt her fire die down slightly, the bark beneath her singed and burnt. Lifting her eyes to peer at the others she shivered away the leftover agitation from her pink frame. The general unease of those around her proved amusing, perhaps this disruption would prove welcome after all.
The cat claimed to know something of a channel, deep below the ground. The crow had become acquainted with many tunnels over the years, knowledge stored from countless hunts; Melis herself taking turns as hunter and prey. She knew nothing of a tunnel that, according to the cat, would lead below most things. This new detail sparked the crow’s interest, catching her off guard.

Whinnie pads down a road. Though really nothing touches the ground. at about chest height she fads out. Her hair midnight hair floats like tentacles some wrapping around her face and into her eye socket. She stops and grimances. "Well well. I spy with my only eye, people who are damned." she sings off key. She wanders toward a group who seems to be radiating ill intent. "Well I can tell you who's flesh is going to be flash burned and then rots off there live corpses. Would you like to know? Or should I describe your torturious end with more detail?" she starts off the same delighting in people misery yet getting her objective done. Two birds with one stone really.

Kaiba blinks at the familiar voice..oh by all that is unholy and dark why was his luck so cursed! "Whinnie my beloved, so uncanny and sweet that your demented little self would find us here" the poe smirked, giving her a searing look. "Feh the damned, you must be one of them seeing as the presence of that furry beast drew you here as well. Or maybe it was the great evil creature that lurks deep beneath the forest that drew you here?" kaiba questioned, slynking up to the banshee, giving her dark raven hair a light tug as he stole a kiss...
Eeech..such feelings of..eww love, it made him sick, and yet still he could hardly forget their interesting little encounter in the woods. He still carried that strange little lantern around in tritons pack afterall. Though he often wondered if he should trade it back to her?

Of course, it would not tell them what such evil was. It released a mirthful smirk, casting its scarlet gaze around its surroundings as if to count and determine for how much they would sell their souls for. With a flap of its wings, the Cat drew itself up into the air, almost twisting its sleek body around too much.
It snorted at the display Kaiba drew, rather disgusted at the disturbing picture of love the banshee and the Poe drew. "I warn thee... wonder not of the rewards one shall receive.. thou doth not know the repercussions of such notions. However, what you shall see will be beyond thy wildest imaginings."
The flames at its paws were dim now, but it flared up again as if in righteous fury. It made the Cat look darker than it already was, all black and empty like an inky abyss. Giving them one last look, the Cat suddenly jumped from the arc, arching into the next branch.
Burning flames trailed behind, slowly dimming as seconds past.
It began to lead them.

Whinnie smiles at Kaiba revealing her crooked gnarly teeth and a blackened mouth. "Why I came because I sensed a black hole only to find it is where your heart is. Why? What on earth is going on you demented freak of all that is holy." she sneers. SHe squeaks as he catches her off guard. She whips around and grabs his chin in her hand she roughly kisses him. "Don't scare me otherwise I will rip your head off." she growls out before tugging on his hat, .. thingy ma bob. "Now where the hell is that thing going, and why is it on fire??" she say with wide eyes watching the flames trail away.

Triton thought he would gag..kaiba..that wretched little poe..eeww had a lover! Oh it was just to gross! Though that did explain where the random lantern had come from and why the little evil spirit had so insisted on him keeping it, but arhg, to even imagine that pair doing things..whatever dead things did to procreate..just..eech. "Wheres yoske when I need her" the man muttered lightly, raking his hand back through his long blond hair, praying that his other more sane companion was near by, if anything he felt he would need her on this particular quest..
Watching quietly after a moment as the demonic cat rose into the air, so graceful and yet so damn evil. 'Wonder not the rewards.' how he wished just for some simple info, the adventure this time was enough for him. Normally he wouldnt even bother with something unless it was worth the cost, this though..A revertion to old habits, going with the excitement just for the sake of exploring, whether they vanquished the evil or not triton just had to see it. For he had quite some large imaginings and if this was beyond them then well, heh there was no way he would pass it up.
Glancing back at his poe companion giving a quick short whistle as he beckoned for kaiba to come along, and..eech bring his..woman..thing? Banshee along with him. He knew they would have to follow quickly lest they loose the trail of the flames, did the cat really have to go so fast!
"Aww my dear you sensed me, thats almost sweet!" kaiba purred, yelping as he was pulled back in and roughly kissed, swaying a bit as she finally released him only to continue to tug on things of his posession. His poor ugly little hat! "Hee hee, I'll remember that then, for I need my head to exist" he smirked lightly, tossing a glare back at triton as he was so rudely beckoned, like a dog! He was no dog.."Eeh..oh were following the cat to vanquish some horrible evil it seems, and my dear I know how you love destroying evil's of this world" the poe said with quite a bit of glee, hopping backwards as he motioned for her to follow. "You'll come with me right? There are sure to be some riches in this, despite that damned cats rediculess words" rolling his eyes, do not think of riches bah without the riches of the world what point would there be to existing. "I'm sure this will promise to be funn" he sing songged happily, not sure why he was so giddy at seeing her, but he was.

Quietly burning, the Cat trailed the air towards the Underground Passage that it long known by heart. Of course, it head to that, so it would obviously know it well. To forget was... not an option.
The path that the Cat lead them seemed almost surreal. Even if one knew the forest well, they would likely not know where the Cat was taking them.
It suddenly leap on to a large mound covered entirely in vines and other shrubbery. For a moment, the Cat sat there, waiting for those that had followed it with a silent grin.
Finally.
The time had come.
And then, it burned. The flames that it had used earlier had no comparison to the large bonfire it had set to the mound. Once it lit, it seemed to erupt in a pillar of fire so large that even the Cat could not be seen at all.

Lilli spotted the flame from afar. She had been sitting in the tree, looking down at the boy and his teacher, bored but still feeling she needed to know what the tall green man was teaching her boy. She had watched him trying to learn to conjure flames and manipulate them. She could do the same herself, simple, easy magic. But the boy was still learning, stumbling and either losing the fire immediately, or conjuring such a blast he had burned off his eyebrows and set the stump on fire. The teacher had put it out and healed the boy, but now he seemed shaken and unwilling to learn.
Lilli rose from the tree and after one more look down at the pair, she sped towards the blaze in the distance. Upon arriving, she saw a large fire, blazing in the middle of the Forest. But what had started it? She touched down onto the ground in front of the flames and looked into its core.
