Xurdion couldn't help but smile and shrug as he caught the quaffel that was thrown by the keeper. "He caught the quaffel and yet he's giving it BACK to us to continue the play...that's kinda weird if you ask me but whatever." He put the quaffel under his arm and closed his eyes as he began to focus. "Amelia! Stay sharp!" He shouted as he threw the quaffel into the air before jumping and kicking it back through the hoop towards Amelia, it was slightly off but he hoped that she could catch it. He had almost forgotten about landing back on his broom and almost plummeted to the ground but at the last second he grabbed on by one hand, draggin the broom down but it maintained it's balance. "Okay...won't be doing that anytime soon..." He thought, adrenaline was rushing through his system and a cold sweat formed on his hand as he climbed back onto his broom. "I'm fine! Play on!" He shouted, giving Amelia a signal to fake a pass to Vlaityn before actually doing it, then he gave her another sign for Vlaityn to pass to him so he could fly around and easily score into the goal. "Actually, the next time the ball comes to me it should be an easy point, all I'd have to do is so around the hoop and score like that."

Amelia punched the air when the quaffle went past Jason and into the hoop. "YES!" she shouted as she did a small victory lap around the posts but she didn't have that much time to celebrate since they were goinng in for a second strike. This time Xurdion kicked her the ball which resulted in him almost plummeting to his death. Before the gasp of horror left her mouth, Xurdion was back on his broom shouting to the team that he was fine. "Look whose telling me to be careful and not get killed before the season. I'm not training a new chaser you know." Amelia said with a laugh. As the ball zoomed towards her, she noticed that the quaffle was flying in a way that was difficult to catch that Amelia had to lean slightly off her broom to grab it. After the quaffle was back in her position she said, "Ok, Let's run it again." 'Time for the feinting.' Amelia thought with a laugh. Amelia threw the ball up, pretending to make it go towards Vlaityn but the quaffle flew behind Amelia's back where she caught it again. As soon as the ball landed in her hands, Amelia did a behind the back throw to Vlaityn with all the strength she could muster from her left arm.

Catching the ball, Vlaityn hovered in the air for a bit, frowning. Technically practice hadn't started yet, so they were all somewhat out of sorts. And although Xurdion and Amelia may have been the most excited to play, that was no reason to forget the rest of the team.

'Shouting orders like he's Captain.' Vlaityn huffed, indignant at his disregard.

"Enough of the showing off of plays. New plan. We show the kid our team." Vlaityn shot a large smile to Joel and Lori, who had recently joined in on the faux practice. "Refresh my memory, guys, show me what you can do." With a great deal of effort, Vlaityn launched the quaffle to the exact spot that was directly in between both Lori and Joel and waited to see who'd react the quickest. Although she doubted it was Joel, seeing as he had his bat on him, Vlaityn still longed to see the boy rocket off to get it.

'Well there goes the game, but Vlaityn is right there is no need to ignore the rest of the team.' Amelia turned her attention towards Joel and Lori and waited to see who would catch the quaffle first. They both had something that would hinder them being able to catch the quaffle, Lori with her snitch and Joel with his bat. A better way to introduce the team would be to have Lori practice catching the snitch and breaking out a bludger so that Joel can show off his beating techniques. Amelia thought for a moment that one of the team should perform a summoning charm to get Vlaityn's bat but yet they would probably loose house points for damaging Hogwarts property and/or accidentally get someone injured by the incoming bat. Looking over to Vlaityn, Amelia said, "Maybe we should break out a bludger so that you and Joel can show off your beater skills and maybe get the Quidditch chest so that you can get your hands on a bat. What do you think?"

Xurdion sighed and shook his head as Vlaityn threw the quaffel towards Lori and Joel. "Bloody hell. What'd you do that for? We weren't showing off the plays to him we were merely showing him the plays." With an irritated sigh he leaned back on his broom and stared up at the sky, feeling as though he were betrayed. "You're no fun." He said, partially joking and partially serious. He let out a sigh, there goes their window of opportunity to get revenge on this guy. He closed his eyes as his broom started to get lower and lower to the ground. "How else is this kid going to learn to respect those who were on the team longer than him?" He muttered, soon his broom landed on the ground and he stormed off into the woods for a few minutes. He started to pound on all the trees and muffled his screams of anger with his sleeve. Then he finally came out again and got on his broom and flew up. "Whatever, we'll show him the team then." He said, this time his voice sounded a little more hoarse than before and more apathetic.

Lori shook her head. "And I thought you guys were showing him how our chasers are." She got back on her broom, since she had dismounted, and leaned towards where the quaffel was headed, reaching out for it with one hand, the other hand still closed around her snitch. "Silly me," Lori said, catching the quaffel the same way she caught a football when one of her arms was broken a few summers ago. Throwing the ball down to where Joel was, she gained altitude until she was at the same level everyone else was at. Chucking the snitch, Lori looked to where Joel was. "You know, we still need a bludger if he's going to play." She stated matter-of-factly. "Or he could just be another chaser." Rapping the end of her broom, Lori started to whistle 'Blue Suede Shoes', the first song that popped into her head, as she waited for things to start.

Now that everyone was down on the ground to introduce the Quidditch team to the potential keeper, Amelia pointed the nose of her broom towards the ground and went into a deep dive. As the wind whipped through her hair, Amelia wondered how she would show off without seriously hurting herself. As she got to be a foot off the ground, Amelia flipped over the front of her broom, landing safely on the ground with her broom in her right hand. "Yay! Introductions." Amelia said with every word dripping with sarcasm. "I'm up to getting the chest so that we can have a full game. By this point I'm so desperated to perform a summoning charm and getting Vlaityn's bat from the dormitory." .....

Vlaityn rolled her eyes at Xurdion's disappointment. "Off the high horse, Xurd, you're not in charge. Besides, Joel and Lori are irreplaceable assets to the team! Much more so than frivolous plays. Team mates and strategy wins games, not fancy moves." Vlaityn said pointedly, attempting to knock Xurdion out of the horrible attitude. "He's not even on the team." Vlaityn finished while she watched Lori expertly catch the quaffle, even though she had been otherwise preoccupied.

"Why aren't you a chaser again, dearest?" With a grin, Vlaityn shot up a bit to observe them a bit. A great team, if she said so herself. Even if some of the best weren't here at the moment.

Glancing over at Vlaityn and then up to where Xurdion flew off, Amelia stode in shock. "Come on Xurdion, showing off the plays is what practice is for!" 'Damn that guy! Why does he have to be so hard to read and get through to?' On days like today Amelia regretted being a chaser cause usually when things got like this, Amelia would throw something to the ground. Turning to Vlaityn she said, "V, I think that was kind of harsh. I get that his mood is not called for but to throw that "captain" "the people on the team are important" comments in his face. He knows that already cause if he didn't Kani would've never picked him to be chaser." Amelia then turned to the rest of the group, "So, whose starting the introduction?"

"No idea, but I think I lost that snitch again," Lori said, looking around for a streak of gold that was an immediate givaway. "We should hurry and start. I don't really want to be flying around the school looking for my snitch..." She thought for a second, then took out her wand and muttered something. A minute later, there was a streak of gold and the snitch was safely back in the palm of her hand. "Nevermind," Lori said, grinning, "I remembered I had put that spell on it a few weeks ago, just in case I lost it again. Because, to be honest, half my allowance goes into buying new snitches." Lori shrugged, "But I seriously don't know who." And with that, Lori began to whistle yet another song.

"I'm not trying to act as if I'm Captain or something. I just wanted to have some fun with this punk who thinks he can call practice whenever he pleases. I had to wake up for this! It's a bloody outrage!" He said to Vlaityn. "I'm not sure if you're keeping up with past events or the like but our "fancy moves" won us most of our games last year." He added, countering the last point Vlaityn made. "But sure, whatever, let's introduce the team." He said, trying his best not to lose his temper. "Do we even have a bludger?!" He shouted towards the rest of the team. "Sorry...I guess, I didn't mean to lash out but I just really got into the game and then it was all dashed."

"If I knew where the chest was I would get a bludger and Lori put that snitch away before you loose it again." Amelia coudn't believe that Lori almost lost her snitch again and within the span of an hour. Xurdion had finally came back and Amelia nodded a welcome back greeting to him before turning on Lori once again. "I know we use the school's Quidditch supplies when we play here but I don't think your mum would be too happy if she found out you lost your snitch again. Didn't she send you a howler last time?" Rounding her attention on the whole team now and staring directly at Jason, Amelia started the introduction. "Anyway, I'll start the intro. I'm Amelia Rochelle, 7th year chaser for this Quidditch team. I come up with some of our plays with Xurdion and I also tend to be a bit of a show off."

"Come on, dudes," Lori said in her hippy-ist voice, gliding over to the chasers. "Let's not let anger taint our love for each other." It was all Lori could do not to laugh. "Peace, man. Now, lets all join in a loving circle and sing koombaya (sp?)." And reaching into her robes, she took out a massive bag of confetti and drifted up and over her teammates, sprinklinging them with the colorful paper as she sang out of tune as Amelia introduced herself. When she reached Vlaityn and Xurdion, she chucked handful after handful at them. When the bag was finally empty, she let it drift to the confettied ground and took out several pieces of beaded and braided yarn, tying them into the bands hippies would wear, and zoomed around dropping them on everyone's heads... Singing the song through for the second time, she managed to find another bag of confetti and began to sprinking on on her teammates some more, barely keeping from laughing. I love these pockets, Lori thought, glad she had enchanted them to be massive on the inside, but look normal on the outside. That way, Lori could hold a bunch of random junk, like hippie bands and confetti, in her pockets just in case she ever needed them. "Peace," Lori said, still with her hippy voice, as her sprinkling of confetti turned into something more like confetti bombs.

A small figure could be seen coming closer from the direction of the school. He was running at full speed and the tails of his sports robes could be seen billowing behind him, and a long dark cherrwood handle of a broom could be seen in his left hand. As the figure approached closer it was clear to see that it was boy boy with long, and lanky limbs. He shouted out something, but his words were incoherent and stolen by the wind. Then finally as he made his way to about ten yards from the group he shouted again, and much louder, "Wait! Don't start yet. Wait for me!" There was a slight desperation in his voice, and when he finally reached the group it was easy to tell he was most relieved.

"Hi," the boy said through panting, completely oblivious to the fact he had burst in, and quite rudely interrupted the conversation, "I'm Jordan," he continued on while holdong out a hand, but the realizing no one was taking it he changed the gesture into a half-hearted wave, "Do you mind if I practice with you?" He asked, "I'm going out for keeper," he said and then cast his eyes downward, "again." In fact, this would be the fourth year that Jordan would try out for keeper. He remembered in his second year that during tryouts he had gotten cold feet as the quaffle came at him, and he turned on his broom and fled. It took weeks for the Ravenclaw team to stop teasing him. Then in his third year, Jordan exceptionally better, however, he still managed to let all the quaffles go in except for one. During Jordan's fourth year he was almost allowed onto the team, but one of his friends confessed they had bewitched the quaffle during tryouts so that only he had stopped any. As much as Jordan wanted to play he wasn't willing to risk Ravenclaw's chances at winning the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup, so he turned himself in. This of course earned some respect from the team, but it left Jordan crushed. Then the previous year, his fifth, Jordan played amazingly at the tryouts, and he almost made it, but he barely missed one of the other quaffles while the other tryout hadn't missed any of his. But this year was going to be different, the boy swore to himself. He had been training all summer with a friend from Hufflepuff. On top of that, Jordan had been to every quidditch match that Ravenclaw played since his first year at Hogwarts. He knew almost all of their plays by heart, so he was confident that he would be able to stop most of the quaffles from going through. Still though, the Ravenclaw team was not to be trifled with so Jordan was determined not to take anything for granted. After all, the team had had all summer to put together new moves.

The boy laid the tail end of his broom on the ground and finally stopped talking to allow whoever had been speaking first to continue. His broom was the new Cleansweep 3000. Almost all of the Cleensweep models were about to be retired until the company came out with the brand new one. It only matched the speed of the Nimbus 2006, but what it didn't have in speed, it more than made up for in manueverability. On top of training, Jordan had worked all summer at a potions supply shop to save up the money for the broom, and he was quite proud to have it.

Jason flew down to the circle ready to introduce himself. Then he saw the sixth year running up. Since there was only one postion open he could assume where this guy was trying to head."Whoa there kid slow down. Did you say keeper? Cause that's where I'm going to try and get.......".He eyed the sixth year with envy and suspiciousness because he was older and more likely to make the team than he was. Just incase push came to shove however he stuck his hand in his pocket grabbing his wand but not pulling it out.
