Yep.
I was initiated as a pope via a video of Robert Anton Wilson.
Technically Wilson pope'd me from beyond the grave.

You, Behatz, are now a Pope of Discordia.

I'm printing off that card and handing it out at school.
I'm petition crazy, recently.
I just decided a few days ago that Social Democracy is the party for me!

Nah, I ain't no fascist, I'm just reading about him and his government to maybe base some of my writing off of it.
Though last year I was reading something written by Mussolini about what 'Fascism is' and I felt myself going, "Oh yeah! Sounds great... oh wait... son of a b***h!"

G-d is saying this for a reason. It's so that you can look at yourself and go:

"Wow, what the heck? I haven't honored my father and mother as Adonai says I should."

The Talmud and other interpretations explain these things more in depth. So does the Brit Hadashah, but that's another story. ^_^ Just depends whether you would rather accept writings of rabbi Hillel or rabbi Yeshua. XD.

Yes, and the latter choice makes a person a Christian, and removes them and their descendants from the Jewish community until/unless they make teshuvah and return to the ways of Torah.

But Yeshua was Jewish?

Calling yourself the Son of G-d doesn't sound very Jewish to me.
More insane, to be honest.

Even so, following him makes one a Christian.

Yes, he was born Jewish. He was a bad Jew, but he was still a Jew, until he (1) began urging other Jews to disobey Jewish law AND (2) died before repenting. If a person dies while in cherem (apostasy, excommunication... these aren't accurate translations, but they're the closest English equivalent to "being cut off from the Jewish people), they are said to be non-Jews upon death. Jesus, and the millions of his followers who have died while following him into cherem, are now non-Jews even if they were born Jewish. Not only that, but any children born to a Jew who is in cherem are considered non-Jews, and must convert to Judaism if they want to be counted among the Jewish people. If they don't, they and their children and all their descendants are lost to the family of Yisrael, and it's very sad.

Why is it that the belief in a Jew or a Gentile alongside Judaism makes you non-Jewish?

I guess what I'm trying to say is why would the belief in a man like Yeshua take you away from your people. I don't think that if you believe in Yeshua you do anything that is seperate from the torah.

Also believing in Yeshua doesn't make you Christian. Joining churches makes you Christian. I think Jewish believers in Yeshua are counted as Jews and have just as much reason to keep their Jewishness than do Gentiles keeping their traditions.

Now I have to ask for clarification (sorry if I missed earlier posts): By believe in Yeshua, do you mean believe in Jesus as the Messiah, or just as a philosopher/reformist?

If it's the former, you're a Christian. If it's the latter... Eh, I dunno. I'll leave that one for Divash.

I have a circumsized heart and mind, one that's set apart by God for God and through my blood I'm Jewish.

People who believe in Yeshua as their Messiah may have the same set apart heart and mind as me, and that's why I believe we should accept them as Jewish people.

Yeah...
They'd be Jewish if it weren't for that tiny detail:
They worship a man as G-d.
Not very Jewish, really.
Because, you know, G-d doesn't really like you worshipping material things as your god.
