Gabriel stood at the window quietly. There was a knock at the door. His gun blade was in hand as he opened the door slightly. A maid with a tray of food. He opened the door more and looked each way. Nothing. "Yes?" The woman with the tray bowed her head," Sir I bring you food. Your guards said you haven't eaten and ordered you dinner." He nodded and grabbed the fork on the tray and scooped up some of the potatoes. He placed it in front of her mouth," Taste it. You may be an assassin. Taste it and if you die, I'll kill you more." He was in a bad mood. The woman shook but did as told. Nothing happened. After several minutes he grabbed the tray from her but let her keep the fork. He had his own silverware.
Laughter it seemed came from the dark mass. Thousands of tiny whispered laughs. The mass started to change. It started to actually take a form. It took the form of a man. With the exception of large dragon like wings, huge devil horns, and a serpent tail. The hands were crooked claws. It was still a black mass, but with a shape to it now. "Very good young one. You leave tomorrow. Get some rest..." He was getting closer to her. His hands pressed against the tree behind her and above her, his wings spread to wrap around the tree," Unless you want to keep Alex or I company." The whispered laughter rang through the night. In a blink, Nightmare was gone. Nothing in his wake but eternally damned memories.
Alex looked to her, his eyes blank. Without a word he made his way back on the trail to the house. He was quiet, but his fingers twitched on his grip on the torch.

Rose sat there a moment, "yes my lord." she said though he was no longer there. then she got up and started back to the house. she shot a glare at the back of Blind Eye before looking down. she opened the pouch at her waist and took out a clothe to wipe the blood from her arms. " this is just great now i have to deal with these marks when i leave." she muttered to herself looking down at the three deep cuts on each arm. the fear had left her eyes but she was still shaken up. putting the clothe away she gripped her sword thinking about what was to come. how she going to kill the guard and how mad Nightmare seemed. " at least i'll be away from here for a few days." Rose said to herself, "maybe the dreams will end if i'm away from here. or maybe they could get worse theres no way to know really." some of the screams were still in her head. two of them were ones she knew very well even now. friends who hadnt been killed or hadnt died when she left. one was her best friend, KiKi, she was two years younger than her, the other was her other best friend, Toby, he was one year older. the three of them got put together to work and became friends. she left she as not to harm them. she didnt even know if they were still alive or not. "i wonder" Rose said unknowingly outloud as she kept walking to the house.

(Its going to be about 5 or so soldiers.)
Alex left the path to go to his room. He was sure she knew the way to her own room. He traveled the dark trails and made it to his room. It was a small building separated from the main building. He entered and started to light the torches on the walls. He looked to the bed and stood, surprised. There was a woman laying there, in black leather, and an assortment of knives. He smiled," Thank you my dark Nightmare for this gift of dark desires." Screams of agony would be heard throughout the night.

Aya glanced over her shoulder listening carefully to the sounds of the forest around her. The stillness and lack of animals' sounds alerted her that something was there, but she still hadn't pinpointed where the danger was yet. Her grip on her bow tightened but she continued on through the darkness. It wasn't the darkness that bothered her, her night vision was impeccable, it was the dark creature that was following somewhere behind. She had spent a great deal of time tracking them all over the land and it was alarming how quickly their patterns seemed to be changing. It was as though once the initial mindless blood lust was over their minds, or at least some of their minds, were coming back. She had found evidence that they were learning, becoming better killers. She caught movement behind her just as she cleared the last hill and made out the outline of a town in the distance. That was the town she had traveled so far to find; the town where the Sun's base of operations was. She had never met the man before, but for some reason she had the feeling he needed to know about the changes in their enemy. She could hear the creature moving in behind her, preparing to attack. Stopping she turned and raised her bow taking aim and waiting. She was going to have to kill it, she couldn't very well bring it to the town to slaughter innocent people.
Half an hour later Aya had finally reached the town. She was tired and winded, but filled with an odd relief. She had made it and now all that she had to do was find the Sun and give him her findings. She had heard someone mention the tavern, so she headed there to start her search. Sure enough he was there! Walking up the stairs she paused outside his door and moving slightly to the side she knocked. She had never met the man so she wasn't even sure he would give her the time of day…let alone believe what she said, but no one could accuse her of not trying.

Gabriel looked to the door. My he was popular today. He walked to it and held his gunblade at the ready. He opened it slightly and saw the girl standing to the side. "Yes?" his voice was calm and controlled. Very strong for his age. "State your name and business."

Aya looked up at the man that came to the door a bit surprised. He wasn't anything like she had imagined him to be. Shaking her head she pulled herself out of her thoughts and answered. Her voice was quiet but steady as she spoke, "I am Ayasha Nadwai and I have come to speak to you about some things I've noticed as of late." The girl fell silent again waiting to see if the man would hear her out or not. She was ready to force the issue if she had to; she was determined to say what she had come here to say. You could see the determination on her face and in her dark eyes.

"Ah. I've read your file. May the lord bless your life with the light of a thousands suns." He pressed his hand against her forehead and an extreme warmth would wash over her. Like the sun was actually trapped within this body. He opened the door to let her in. "Have a seat. What is so urgent that you had to speak to me yourself?" He seemed intrigued.

Aya tensed as his hand moved toward her face. She wasn't fond of people touching her, but she relaxed when the warmth flowed over her. She had never felt anything quite like it before. It felt like a medicine man's magic, but ten times as powerful….there was an almost healing effect. Aya walked into the room but now that she was actually here she was too worked up to sit still. She stood by the window looking out into the darkness beyond before she turned to the Sun. "I came myself because I wasn't sure anyone else would make it here in one piece." She began pacing to calm her nerves and get her thoughts in order. "More and more of our people were getting killed, so I began tracking the dark creatures movements and patterns more closely. In the beginning they were disorganized and mindless. Killing those that crossed their paths by chance. Because their minds were gone they were easy to kill." She paused there looking to Gideon once again. "That's all changing now. Their patterns have become more organized and intentional. It's like their learning…or evolving. They are starting to hunt in organized packs and use ambush techniques like you would see in wolves. Their precision is getting more precise and they are getting harder for our forces to kill. I'm afraid if we don't do something our people will suffer even more loses." She let out a deep sigh…she had been thinking things over for a long time now and she knew that if something wasn't done more people would be killed in the ever growing attacks.

Rose barged into her room knocking over a table by the door. she threw her sword on the bed along with the small black pouch she carried. " just great!" she said kicking a pillow on the floor, " i finally get another mission and Nightmare is ticked. as if the dreams werent bad enouph! now if i mess up who knows what will happen!" Rose sat on the edge of her bed. suddenly she smiled, "guess i just wont mes up then." Rose gets up and grabs the pouch. Rose pulls it open and throws a few small things inside it that she though she may need on her mission. then she went to a closet and pulled out four sharp knives. she put two at her ankles and two on her belt. then she sharpened her sword and tied it back to her waist. looking in the mirror Rose got an idea.
though most of Nightmares followers looked the part she still could almost pass as normal. that was her trick. she decided the only way to get close enouph to attack was to make them think she wasnt a danger. She took contacts out and placed them in her eyes, now instead of red her eyes looked blue. she spent the next few minutes changing her appearence before she looked back in the mirror, "yes, thats more like it." she said happy with her work. to her she did look normal as she could ever get, "now just one more thing." Rose went through her dresser until she found what she wanted, a photo. it was of her mother and father, along with a few other people from their town. all she had to to was show it to the people and tell them she was traveling. looking at the photo she thought she looked a lot like her mother. laying down of the bed she driffted off waiting for the next day.

Gabriel nodded quietly. His calm gaze rested on her solidly," I've noticed this as well. Being in contact with them as much as I have..." Flashes of his childhood came forth. Finding out while at work that his parents were dead. Running straight to the scene to see them in nothing but bloody chunks of meat. A flash of pure fiery rage crossed his eyes before he came back to reality. He smiled softly to her," I've taken precautions. Gave more training and implemented more guards to each post. As long as my laws are followed things should be fine." He looked down to the map and frowned. He sighed," Nightmare is toying with us. Either the senses of the creatures are really coming back or Nightmare is actually training them. Thats what it looks like though..." He ran his fingers through his hair. Outside on the outside of town the cackles of the dark creatures could be heard.
Alex was using buckets to remove the bloody remains. He was making sure that his room didn't get infested with bugs while he was gone. Just like Rose he had a mission too. He was to observe her and to observe The Sun. Nightmare wanted some info on him. For some reason. Maybe planning something. He threw the buckets of mess into a pit, the sounds of growling could be heard below.
He was preparing himself for the trip. He had a bag with a small tent and bed roll since it was a two day trip to the town that the Sun was located in. He also packed plenty of flint and matches and he had his torch. He grabbed his two knives. More like short swords with how big they were but he liked called them knives. They were made of black steel with a black leather handle. He loved it. A gift from Nightmare. He was used to receiving gifts. A way that Nightmare kept him from running away.

Rose woke up very early to set out on her mission. she quickly made her bed so as not to come back to it in a mess and grabbed her sword and pouch. she tied them tightly on her waist and took a glance at the mirror to make sure she still looked like a normal towns person and not like a follower. she then made sure her knives were in place and left. before leaving she yelled out for Nightmare to hear, "i'm leaving now my lord, and i promise to NOT mess this up." something she always said before a mission. the she was off.

She didn’t miss the glint of heated anger in his eyes, but she sensed the anger wasn’t directed at her so she said nothing. She had become fairly good at reading people over the years and she saw not only rage, but pain in his gaze. She wondered for a brief moment what had caused that look in his eyes. “That would make sense.” She said a hint of sadness in her voice as she thought of all the people that were lost to the darkness; whether it be they changed or were killed. She had returned to her village to find it decimated. The changed had attacked and burned it to the ground. Those that weren’t caught in the deadly flames or killed had had to flee the land that they had lived on for centuries. It spoke volumes as to just how much the changed had advanced, because her people were ferocious warriors; not even the women would die without a fight; training would explain how so many warriors had fallen. Worry lines creased her forehead as she thought on this again. If they weren’t carefully they would lose this war with the darkness. She turned back to the window again her sharp ears picking up a faint sound. It sounded like a low thunder, but had an evil quality to it. She wasn’t sure what it was.

Rose started down the path to the village with cofidence. not only had she never failed in a mission but this time she had her secret weapon. this time she could walk among them without them knowing. she was wearing her normal chain pants, and black shirt that people HAD seen her in but luckly the Sun lived in a different village from any of them. with her sword at her waist and the slices on her arms from her.....encounter with Nightmare Rose only knew of one thing to tell people she was and she wasnt very happy about it.....a vampire hunter. the only thing that would indicate her as being a vampire was a "V" she had tattooed on her ankle when she first turned. but that was hidden under her boots. she felt ready but at the same time nervous. though she wasnt going up against the Sun himself he had only the best guards and though Rose was exrtemely good with the sword one wrong move would be bad. she had to think out her every move before she could finnish this mission.

Gabriel looked out the window. It was actually becoming true night. It somehow got darker around the same time it got darker when there was a sun. That means the larger or more dangerous changed where going to come out soon. "We'll train harder. We'll become an actual military instead of just a militia." He turned to face her," Wait for me in the lobby. I'm going to gather some instructors as to train the soldiers harder." He started towards his records, looking through the files of the members of the Light. He was selecting who to be the trainers.
Alex was standing in a dark shadow, watching Rose. He was going to keep a good eye on her, for his masters sake. He then felt His dark presence. Nightmare spoke to him," Your mission has changed. Inject this into the Sun's blood." Nightmare handed him a syringe full of purple liquid. "After getting some of his blood. "He then handed him an empty syringe. Alex looked at them both, paying more attention to the purple one," What is it Darkness?" Nightmare seemed to laugh with he thousands of dying laughs," Its a poison. To change even the purest to the changed side. I want to see its full effect on the purest of them all."
