Kash hesitated. "He's... um... well..." She shuffled her feet, looking down for a moment. "He's unlucky," she said. "So whoever's wearing him gets into bad luck situations and stuff. But he's..." She shrugged. "He's kind of like that mole, you know? The one that you hate but have always had, ever since you were little, and you can't quite picture yourself without it? Or is that a really bad example?"

Raising an eyebrow, Kaimi eyed the little snake. "That kind of sucks. Can you take him off, though, if you dont want to have bad luck? Or are you just sort of stuck with him one way or another?" She'd always thought snakes were supposed to be lucky. Healers and harbingers of prophecy and whatnot.

Making a face, Kaimi eyed the little window in the girl's room and speculated. "This sucks. I wonder how much trouble I'd be in if I made a break for it?" She didn't really want to be alone, though, so she made for the door instead of the window. "How much more of this do we have left?"
