Swiftclaw stood, trying to pick up any traces of prey. Everything around him was so quiet, it almost felt like time stopped. How eerie... His thoughts were interrupted, however, when he heard a tiny splash. Creeping closer, he found a pitiful looking frog. Luckily it hadn't seen him. With a swift flash of claws, Swiftclaw caught the small creature. "Too easy," he murmured with a grin. Unfortunately it wasn't much, but at least it was something. Around him, the forest went back to being silent and still.

Crescenthallow padded away from the others without being too far, as she wasn't the type to enjoy being alone that often. Pinpointing the weak stench of a mouse she padded close enough for it not to notice before pouncing and nipping its fragile neck. Resisting the warm taste she quickly buried it, watching how the others were doing for a few moments. Flicking her tail she continued hunting, also resisting the urge to pounce on one of her fellow clanmates out of playfulness.

Rosethorn padded along wither her clannmates, trying as hard as everycat to look for some sign of the missing Linnetsong. She didn't think she had much chance to noticing anything that the rest of the patrol wouldn't find, but every pair of eyes and ears counted. She hoped the scare was a flase alarm and that Linnetsong was just out for a walk or something, unlikely as it seemed. She lifted her head and sniffed the air carefully as they traveled, but all she noticed was the scent of the cats around her and got a cold nose for her troubles.

Milkspot had just been returning from an early morning hunt, a pathetically small mouse dangling from his jaws, when the search patrol headed out. Noticing the anxious look on Spiderheart's face as he brushed past, the young tom perked his ears up. He hurried over to the freshkill pile, dropped his rodent and gave it one final glance, a little unsatisfied with the catch, before turning to look after the patrol that left. "What's going on?" he mewed loudly in a light, curious tone, but not addressing anyone in particular.

BleedingMoon's silver ears twitched at the words bedding, elders and other warrior. The whole clan was busy hunting scarce prey of leafbear. Since he wasn't wanted for the job, he might as well be the one to do it to allow an able hunter to be hunting and such. Lazy rose before stepping up to PlumGaze. "I'll assist you with your task." he informed him, flicking his tail before heading out of camp.
He suddenly felt a bit excited about his little task 'Now where can I find the best bedding?' pondered blindly following the path hunting patrol had taking towards ThunderPath... then realized. 'ThunderClan! I'll just slip in and out from under the tunnel. No one will know the difference and the elders will get a better rest' he purred at his brilliance before bounding off and nearly stumbling over Crescenthallow as he reached ThunerdPath. "Pardon me madmazel I am such a dunce. Your tail is in no way hurt I hope?" he asked his silver eyes glimmering with concern.

"I..." Spiderheart didn't know what to say. He was just as devastated as his mate, except he had done all his spazzing earlier. He didn't blame Fishertail for her reaction, since he had felt the same way.
There weren't any words that he could think of to comfort her. He just nuzzled her once and flicked her tail in a silent good-bye. He had to join the patrol after all.
"Linnetsong. She's missing. There's a patrol going out to search for her." He pointed his gaze to where the other cats were heading before dashing forward to catch up to them.
Brambleclaw was debating on whether to really confront Shadowclan or not. There was no way in Starclan they would've been responsible for this, but her father seemed so insistent on it. And they might have some useful information.
"We'll be checking with Shadowclan first. Just for a bit. We're not going to be looking for bloodshed though."
Spiderheart might. He glanced backwards at the tom and shook his head.
Blinkchase was a bit on her own, hunting farther from the Thunderpath than the other cats. She refused to be near Two-legs and anything made by them, ever since that incedent.
She spotted a lizard, half asleep in the cold, a ways off. She quietly crept towards it, being careful not to step in or on anything that would alert it. But by the time she pounced, the lizard scampered away in fear and she got a faceful of snow and mud instead.
"Fox dung!" She spat out and tried to clean herself.

Although he had seen Blooddusk's blunder, Plumgaze averted his eyes as the former rogue cat finished her kill and said nothing, concentrating instead on his own hunt. Unlike the depths of their territory, the area around the Thunderpath was dark with dirt, not snow. Still, that didn't mean he could be careless. Any prey that survived into leafbare had to be smart!
He drew in a lungful of freezing air and grinned, arrowing in on his prey. Right on the side of the Thunderpath, just waiting to be caught, a snake lay coiled just out of reach of the monsters. Gotcha. Putting each paw in front of the other with delicate care, Plumgaze slid closer, the tip of his black tail twitching.
Like a flash his paw darted out and snagged the snake by its tail - he whipped it to the ground and darted in, ending its life with a neat n**.
Proudly, the warrior arranged his kill in a coil and kicked wet leaves and dirt over the prone body. Then he straightened, scanning his surroundings. Hunting was good - if it kept up, every cat in ShadowClan would sleep with a full belly tonight.
"Good luck." Fishertail murmured, speaking softly so her voice wouldn't break. She waited until Spiderheart and the rest had left camp before giving way to her desperation. Quailfeather shrank back as her mother vented her fury like a possessed thing, tearing at anything in her way, be it bramble or stone, until her face was scratched and her claws splintered.
Panting, she did not go then and rest. Fishertail sat herself at the entrance of the camp, gazing resolutely towards the tunnel in absolute silence. She would stay there until the patrol returned.
What happened to Spiderpaw and Fisherpaw? Sure, Spiderpaw was a bit cowardly. And Fisherpaw was nothing but a bossy furball. But she wasn't someone who cried or had to hide her fear, because she had no fear. She wasn't weak. What did Spidertail think? He'd become mates with someone who seemed to be hard granite but was only chalk, soft and crumbling inside. She wondered if he regretted it.
If only Linnetsong would come home...
{Edit, sorry 'bout that X3}

Twilightblaze followed her brother quietly. She didn't want to fight, specially since she didn't know exactly how her father looked like, only possible images in her head from looking at her siblings and minused her mother's traits. "I'm sure everything will be alright." She spoke out loud, more so to her brother than anything. At least she hoped everything would be alright.
Midnightflight laughed and followed his daughter, quiet content to be with his daughter. He stayed beside her up until they caught up with the group, then the tom fell back. Half to let his daughter mingle with the group, half lost in thought about Bomba, remembering the last time they met at Thunderpath. Midnightflight was torn. He did still miss her...Even if he did love her, it could never work. They were from two different clans. It was that simple. The tom had to repeat this in his head a few times before he let out a sigh.

((Blooddusk was originally a rogue. ShadowClan is the first Clan she's ever lived with.))
Blooddusk looked up at the sky and sniffed around for more prey. Around her it was quiet, and the ice sparkled in the dawning sun. She sighed happily and paused as a vole scrabbled in the sparse grass and muddy snow on the verge. She sank down, creeping forward pawstep by pawstep to pounce on it. Unfortunately, the vole heard her and skittered onto the Thunderpath, racing across. Blooddusk sighed. "Mouse dung!" she muttered under her breath. She hesitated, watching it reach the ThunderClan side of the border. So tempting to just go across...but she couldn't, she would get into a great deal of trouble...

Crescenthallow shook her head at Bleedingmoon, quite alright. She tilted her head to the side curiously though, now where was he going? A bounding cat that was able to trip over another warrior couldn't possibly be one that was in the middle of hunting. She shuffled her paws and flicked the tip of her tail somewhat furiously, trying to tell him for whatever he was doing he shouldn't take risks, because it was leaf-bare; cats were all grumpy and withered and prey was scarce.
Shrugging she continued to hunt.

The patrol had arrived at the Thunderpath. Brambleclaw couldn't see much across it, since it was still dark. But he could smell Shadowclan cats prowling close by, thankfully staying on their side of the border.
They must be having a harsh leafbare as well, if they needed an early morning patrol to hunt. He remained silent as he padded his way across the pavement, stopping occasionally for any rumbling of the monsters. There wasn't that much so he didn't have to be diving towards one side every other second.
"Is Foxtrot around?" He smelled the scent of the Shadowclan deputy around. And it would be him he'd want to speak with, since it wouldn't be smart to share the news with anyone else.
Thunderclan cats! What did they want with them? Blinkchase restrained herself from hissing at the patrol that approached them and looked on with slight interest. There were a lot of cats backing up Brambleclaw. Could this be some kind of raid? With his request for the deputy a diversion?

A little frightened by Fishertail's outburst, and worried for his missing clanmate, Milkspot hurried out of the camp after Spiderheart and the search patrol. It was painfully obvious at times that he was not the best clan cat around, but an extra set of eyes, ears, and scent receptors couldn't hurt, he figured. Breathing in the crisp air slowly, and concentrating on the scents he was receiving, the young tom did his best to try and help out. He stayed near the patrol, but weaved away from them as well, looking for anything that might hint at where Linnetsong had gone.
When they approached the thunderpath and Shadowclan's scent hit his nose, he unconsciously wrinkled his muzzle in distaste. He timidly followed his clan's deputy across and stood with his fur slightly bristling with unease at Shadowclan's boarder.

Foxtrot was just about to catch a lizard when some rustling not far down the Thunderpath scared it away. He hissed in frustration and sat up, ears pricking as ThuderClan scent hit him. Fresh too. He bagan padding towards the patrol that stood on their side of the border. Despite the hunger that gripped shadowClan, they were faring pretty well for leafbare. His tail waved behind the deputy and gave a curt nod to Brambleclaw. "Grettings, Brambleclaw. What buisness does Thnderclan have on ShadowClan territory?" He mewed, his tome suspicious and eyes narrowed. ShadowClan may not be as hostile as they are beleived, but usually werent the most open to intruders. These cats werent invading, or they'd have already unsheathed claws.
Berrysnow darted across the Thunderpath after the Thunderclan deputy and began taking in the enemy territory until a voice snapped her back to eality. She stared at Foxtrot, knowing that ShadowClan had every right to be suspicious of enemy cats on their land.

When Brambleclaw and come other cats crossed the Thunderpath to talk to the Shadowclan cats, Rosethorn stayed on the Thunderclan side. She figured that even if they all acted peacefully, too many cats of another clan crossing borders could be seen as a threat or cause suspicion. And it wasn't like she was far; a few bounds and she'd be on the other side if her clanmates needed her. She sat down, pricking her ears to try to hear the converstaion better as she waited for the outcome of the encounter.

All though Crescenthallow hadn't said anything he could tell the she-cat was curious about his un-cat-like lack of grace on his dread threw the wood. Her irritated tail told him that his behavior was unacceptable for this time of year. Flatten his ears in embarrassment... felt like an apprentice being scolded by his mentor but was not like he didn't deserve it. 'Smart she-cat she is.' took note, opened his mouth to meow something when strange scent drifted in.
"ThunderClan!" hissed hackles rising, cast Crescenthallow a single glance before sneaking off along ThunderPath. Quite unlike he had been walking threw the wood. His paw steps more silent the a shadows. Wasn't long before mingled scent of Thunder and Shadow came to him, close now. Narrowed his eyes as he starred threw the bracken. Foxtrot was speaking with the ThunderClan deputy, BrambleClaw... both appeared to be very relaxed. Despite the border being crossed.
ShadowClan was strong this leaf-bear, they had nothing to fear from rival Clans. Apparently the Thunder deputy didn't come alone, he tore the soft earth with his long sliver claws as he witnessed the large patrol crossing into their territory, none seemed sick or wounded. 'What did they have to say that couldn't wait for the full moon?' hissed silently to Blinkchase Whatever they wanted... it would not go unchallenged if he could help it.
