Amorette had no talk about the danger of stallions. He father had told her to stay away from them before but he always went back to sleep before expressing the reasons. And her mother never mentioned anything like that so here she was, oblivious to most flirtatious encounters. She had hardly been out enough to meet one of those 'bad' stallions but it might have been best that she didn't know about things like that.

"A warning?" Questioning curiously, Amorette thought about what he could mean by that. Was there something dangerous about stallions and how they approached her? She noted the change in tone and realized that this could be a more serious thing he was talking about. "When you say... we, does that refer to stallions in general?" It could be said that Amorette was sheltered. "A kick? I guess if it was justified..." She couldn't hurt a fly even if she wanted to; Amorette wasn't necessarily against violence but she couldn't bring herself to do so.

Her mind shifted back into the way she conversed with others. "Very true. Can't expect every conversation to be as intriguing as the next. "It's clear that I have a very... limited view of the world." At least Amorette realized the narrow state of her mind. She didn't even realize that he was complimenting her again. "I'll try my best to be a little more confident about my abilities because I guess I do have something." She looked up at him with a sweet smile. She was beginning to see that she had some great qualities.

Had her parents taught her nothing?

This was the thought that rushed through his head as she further questioned him. Her naivity was much deeper than he had first anticipated and while he knew in his society this was highly sought after, the mares in his homeland were heavily protected. They were never permitted to wander without a chaperone, if they were in the company of a stallion then another had to accompany them to ensure that there was no foul play. Such purity was rarely abused or destroyed due to how strictly such traditions were enforced and thus it could be preserved but was it really appropriate for a mare to be free to walk alone and remain so unsure?

No, obviously it wasn't. Even though he came from such a culture he knew from the outset that such a naive nature was prone to disaster in a world where protection and preservation were not afforded. Pain and suffering were a given and though he had told himself that these lands were not to be meddled with he couldn't bring himself to let it happen - the Kawani lands were already filled with corruption, why should one so delicate join it? His brow furrowed considerably at this and his jaw tightened for a few moments as he mused over the most neutral way to discuss this subject.

...He was a doctor after all, he could do this.

"Stallions as a whole, are often ruled by their primal urges..." He began slowly, his accent thick as he concentrated more on how to phrase his advice rather than getting the pronunctiation completely correct. "In comparison to females, males tend to be more violent and competitive. They can be more animalistic and less sensible, if they want something they will not negotiate," he continued. He paused here and allowed the words to sink in before proceeding.

"This can be anything from food to mares... And sometimes this lack of negotiation can end with the mare bearing foals she may not necessarily want," it was a grim truth but he was not going to paint pretty pictures. He may have been male, but this did not mean that he would excuse the behaviour of some of his own gender. "This isn't to say that there are stallions who will treat you with respect; there are those in this world who have been raised to treat those they meet with consideration. However you can never be sure of who they are...that is why I say you must be careful."

"You may say something completely harmless to them and they will misunderstand, they may twist it to mean something that you don't necessarily appreciate. That is why I say that if you feel uncomfortable it is best to kick them and flee before you can be hurt. It is important to listen to your instincts," he finished, hoping dearly that he made sense.

"....Yes?" he asked uncertainly.

She was innocent and pure in almost every way. There was a part of her that realized this but she didn't know what to do about it. Her family was supportive but not in that way. Her siblings went their separate ways fast and Amorette was left with her substitute family with Chitsa. That teepee was almost like a bubble in the forest where no danger seemed to penetrate. She never wandered far from her teepee so her nature was easily explained.

Amorette looked up at him curiously taking in everything that he said. Even she knew not to take advice for granted. She was aware that stallions didn't think the same way that mares did and that they had different thoughts. But she didn't realize how much harm they could really do. When she thought about it, Amorette realized how much more powerful stallions were compared to her.

"You have opened my eyes Azzinoth. I think I understand what you're talking about. And I'm not exactly considered physically 'strong' so I guess there are a lot of dangers for me... Hah." Amorette couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought. "That just means I have to be really careful." Grinning sheepishly at the stallion, the mare never liked to keep things serious. She understood the severity of this topic but she was a light hearted soul. Nodding at him after he was done, Amorette was glad that he had told her this.

"Understatement of year," He pointed out mildly. An encounter that had originally started out as mild and light hearted had transformed into something that could have rivaled the conversation that should have taken place between a father and daughter. He would admit that he was probably far older than she but that didn't mean he was born to make up for the failings of other parents! Alas, there was little to be done to salvage the mood from it's current position and he released a small sigh. His tail swung round to his nose and slowly but surely began to nudge the hair from his eyes in a similar fashion to a hand.

He was getting 'tired'.

He squinted briefly as his vision blurred and shook his head. He knew what this meant... It meant that he would be waking up, thus exiting his dream world and bidding farewell to this encounter with the beautiful damsel. It was a shame really and despite his head protesting that it wished to 'wake up' he would have really like to prolong it. It wasn't often that he was permitted the opportunity to converse with a foreign beauty...more so a foreigner who seemed to slot perfectly into his way of life.

Ah, but such was the way of things. Dreams were always perfect - weren't they?

Still the tiredness that plagued him was becoming rather overwhelming and the stallion had no other choice than to bit farewell. He squinted again and lowered his head somewhat to inspect the sheepish grin before providing a quiet chuckle of his own. "All you can do is keep such things in mind and listen when your heart tells you to run," he pointed out wisely and then withdrew. Rolling his shoulders, he allowed his tail to flop lazily behind him once more and offered a soft smile.

"Unfortunately it was not my intention to distract you from your midnight wanderings for quite so long...but I thank you for your hospitality," he offered. "And while I would like to stay longer it cannot be so - I have other business to attend to elsewhere." His smile became apologetic and he cleared his throat. Usually after he'd said that they bade farewell and disappeared into the mists, then he woke up and all was right with the world...

Admittedly, he hadn't woken up yet but perhaps this dream was meant to climax in a more dramatic fashion?

Amorette couldn't help but smile again. This was a little awkward but she was still grateful that he had informed her about this. There were a lot of things she still had to learn and she was ready to do so now. Watching him, she noticed a change in body language. She stayed up late often so she wasn't feeling any fatigue quite yet.

She really had enjoyed talking to him and who knew that this random encounter could be so engaging. This stallion seemed... so out of the world to her. It was hard to believe that he was real. He boosted her self esteem and confidence; he made her realize how she shouldn't hide her singing anymore. The conversation wasn't that long but she had learned a great deal about this stallion and herself.

And... all good things had to come to an end.

The mare couldn't help but frown as he spoke. "Alright. It was very nice to meet you, Azzinoth. Hopefully this won't be the last time we meet." Nodding at him, Amorette turned to go.

It could be argued that Azzinoth was a definite night owl; a stallion how sleep walked generally wasn't the most fitful of sleepers but to another who was unaware of such issues it was understandable that they would assume otherwise. That said the tweaking in his body and the flickering of his eyes was not something he could ignore; he had to find a place to rest and soon - lest he be subject to a very frightful encounter when he woke up! Not that Amorette was unattractive (she was quite the opposite) but words could not describe the amount of panic that would run through his mind in the instance he realised he hadn't in fact been dreaming at all.

That aside, the was a small part of him that stole a smile at her furrowed brow and he gave a small nod of his head. At least he was not the only one who would forget the encounter. She had been a much more desirable introduction to the Kawani lands; but then she was a dream. Suffice to say the stallion could only hope that further dreams would break him the opportunity to encounter her again. He wouldn't say 'no' to the opportunity (that was for sure) but he had yet to meet a soquili who remained a permanent fixture within his reveries; he'd meet them and then it was highly unlikely they'd return.

"I echo such sentiments," he agreed softly and with that, moved round the mare. He provided ample distance between himself and her own petite form to adhere to her personal space and with one last glance over his shoulder; continued deeper into the meadows and towards the forests where he could find an appropriate place to 'settle' and 'wake up'.
