Peyote turns as Llune calls out toward her for water. She turns, making her way over with the drinks just as the graceful glideress ends up... not so graceful.
"Oh! Llune," she exclaims even as Creek Runner beat her there. She rushes over and sets her cups down to try to help. "Are you okay? What happened? I thought you could fly," she asks, the questions tumbling out of her mouth even as her hand reaches out for another party favor.

Tidalwave shook his head with a light smile at the boastful Crosscurrent, *I don't think I could. Fast though I may be I was never very good at shooting myself up and out of the waters.*
Moving his gaze to Fathom he sent quietly, *Everything about you sings of the waters embrace. Your very presence outshines all the other jewels that try to sparkle.* A long ago compliment he recalled from ages long gone. Something said to the one that would not long after become his lifemate. He missed his small family and made a vow to himself that these two left would see no harm and he would do his best to make them happy.

With a giggle and a blush Fathom waved a hand at Tidalwave then looked at Crosscurrent with a bit of a puffed up ego, *Now that was a compliment.* She knew Crosscurrents eyes were for the catfish and enjoyed trying to pull them from her. She hoped he knew it was all in playful fun. Her mind then snapped back to the question he asked. *I can leap but not flip. I can spin though.* Her mind drifting back to memories of her, their chief and games they played. Her bright smile filling her face with the delight of fun to be had and new elves to play with.

Savith flew back toward the party, having been out looking for the rest of their little group. He hadn't been successful in really finding any one else, until he spotted an elf-shaped silhouette against a tree at the outskirts of hte party. He dropped to the ground, boots making a soft crunch on the died palm leaves. "Good catch, Huntress," he chimed softly behind Starsong.

Crosscurrent knew the grace the shark-tailed swimmers, who might not leap forward but twist, still a sight to behold. And he could concede a competition. He did want to do something flashy for the festival though.
Dancer was on the beach and might delight in seeing them.
The Gliders could do with an impressive show too. Not only air-walkers had grace, after all.
So Crosscurrent smiled as he looped the weapon strap from his shoulders and handed it to Tidalwave. *Then lets start with a splash!* Diving a short ways to get speed before turning around and shooting past them. It would only be a short display.. twisting in a agile arch.. before he returned to Tidalwave, flush, and ready to take his weapon back.

Dancer had been watching the waters for Crosscurrent to show up. She gasped and got to her feet seeing him bolt up from the waters in a joyful leap then arch himself back into the water. Once he was gone from site she rushed to find a high placed rock to sit so she could see better. Her mind flew to his as fast as a thought could travel, *Oh Crosscurrent that was amazing. Do it again.* The send was excited and happy. Thrilled to see him showing off and couldn't wait to embrace him again and dance for him once more should he so desire.

Fathom smiled watching Crosscurrent leap and return. It was now her turn. Doing as Crosscurrent had she swam down a ways to get some speed. No magic to help push her forward as she broke the surface. The sleek body turning as if dancing. As she spun it threw her hair out in every direction, long slender arms also flung outward and her smile was now a look of determination. Taking only heartbeats she was soon back in the ocean. Swimming over to the others she grinned. *How was that?*Her mind letting the joyful feelings pass between the three of them. *Now let us all show up on a great wave. You two should be able to land on your feet well enough as I will just hang back a bit.*

The firestarter's eyes darted up from the driftline just soon enough to see the wavedancer's arc and splash, but but not too late to apreciate it. A loud bark of a laugh burst from his lungs, and he took hold of another two lengths of sun-bleached wood and began to drag them to the pile again, this time shuffling backwards so as to watch the waters for any other display. Perhaps he would play some tricks with fire later, he thought, once the sun fell.

Llune gathered up the scattered items, checking the basket and breathing a silent sigh of relief that her precious tea was still undisturbed. It was a blend she had worked on before leaving the Mountain, what seems like lifetimes ago, and she's been carefully saving and keeping it safe (and adding to, as possible)... "Yes, yes, I know," she says in response to Creek's statement of the obvious, and to Peyote's exclamation of her abilities. A bit embarassed for being so clumsy, and for failing to catch herself with her magic, Llune straightens and dusts off her sandy dress before lifting the basket back to her hip, her free hand resting gently on her belly as if unconsciously checking on the welfare of the little life inside.
Llune finishes moving up to the cooking fire and sets down her burden, turning to sit down and accept the cup of water Peyote had offered before (if it was still being offered, of course)... As she breathed a hearty sigh of relief - for making it to a sitting log without falling down again or dropping the heavy basket of goodies), Llune is about to mention to Peyote that she's put together some flowers to decorate with as well, but only gets as far as, "Oh, by the wa--" before her jaw drops as the wavedancers begin their show and she's lost in enjoying the beauty of it - shiny fins, sparkling droplets of water catching the hues of scattered sunlight. Her hands drop to her lap and she merely watches, remembering a few moments later to pull her mouth shut and just stare.

Peyote gives Creek a smile, a slight blush, and a dipping of her chin toward her shoulder before she picks herself up from having began gathering the goodies. Collecting her cups, she walks by Llune's side to the cook fire, and pours that cup of water. (Certainly, the skilled waitress didn't forget!) But with her back to the sea, Peyote completely misses the show, instead, she blinks at Llune's jaw dropping.
"Llune? What's wrong? Sun strike you," she asks, a touch worriedly, seeing as it was progressing toward sun down.

Dew's attention was quickly drawn from Peyote to the wavedancers, revealing the short attnetion-span of a cub. She stood and watched as Crosscurrent leapt out of the water to complete an amazing flip and Fathom followed with a spinning leap. *That was beautiful Fathom! Can you do it again!* Dew sent to the wavedancer that she had become the most familiar with. She loved seeing the different elves in the tribe showing off their different skills, even if she had none of her own to show off. She grabbed Peyotes sleeve as the elfess spoke to Llune and tugged at it, answering Pey's questions. "Look!" she said, grinning while she pointed out into the vast deep. "Watch them!"

Creek froze for a second at Llune's words, wondering if he had upset her. He hadn't meant it in a bad way, it was just the only way he could express his concern without having to talk a lot. he trully was tired of talking, between Pey and Dancer. And it seemed like he was really bad at it, judging by the near disaster he bearly managed to avoid. regardless, he walked behind her and Pey as they retunrded to the sit on the logs near the fire. He caugh Pey's eyes briefly and smiled at her blush before feeling his own cheeks turn a shade of red. He said nothing, because he wasn't sure what to say. He didn't know if Pey wanted to be the one to tell everyone what had happened or what, so he stayed quiet. He heard the sends flying around about the wavednacers and decided to simply watch them.

Tidalwave smiled as Fathom returned to them again then all the sends seemed to come flying in. *Fathom, if you think you could give me a push from the water I'm sure I could manage a little something entertaining as well.* Not wanting to seem unwilling to try Tidalwave waited for an answer.

A bright smile came over her face with a nod. *Of course Tidalwave. I'm sure I can give you a good thrust. Start your accent to the surface and I will push you along.* Once Tidalwave started going upward Fathom would make the current needed to thrust him fully out of the water. It would tire her a bit but it was a lack of use more then a lack of skill. Her face stern as she focused on the task at hand.

First Tidalwave swam downward as the others had done. Trying to gain more speed as he started his upward climb. Feeling the push all around him Tidalwave drew his arms to his sides and made himself like an arrow. The force of Fathoms powers all he needed to be slung up and out of the water.
For his own trick Tidalwave broke the surface and was launched fully out of the water. While in the air he formed a perfect triangle, with his fingertips touching his toes. Ending the formation with an effortless dive back into the embrace of the deep. Rejoining the others he laughed lightly, *That was enjoyable. I have missed movement for the sheer delight of it.* He heaved a few more breaths before relaxing again.
