Ceon13, we're looking for original storylines, not rip offs of movies. One, that's plagiarism, and two, it's unoriginal, boring, and wouldn't make people want to post. Not only that, but it could and would spoil the movie for people who haven't seen it and our guild is more set around Anne Rice's novels than Underworld, so it would be quite a stretch to make it work...and that would still leave plot holes large enough to drive through.

Ceon13 we could try using the Underworld storyline, it would probably be fun Or, you know, we could NOT use the storyline from Underworld and try to come up with our own stuff. That could work as well.

how about..... one day some hunter friends are walking around the city one lovely evening taking the night off
and somehow come upon a lycan, so of course they grab their leashes and chase him
and here it could go a few ways XD
but somethings gotta die
lycan attacks hunter but misses and kills a vampire so vampires wanna kill the lycans for hittin them, hunters want to kill the lycan for attacking them, and its possible for hunters and vampires to run into each other and go at it to
or while they're chasing it they find out it was chasing a vampire instead, so when he turns around to attack a lycan, its jumps outta the way and ends up hittin a hunter that was chasing him so then vampires want revenge on lycans [even more] for making their job a little harder, hunters want to kill the vampires for killing one of their own AND the lycans for sorta leading them on the chase that got one killed
iunno just a thought that would include all 3, a hunt gone wrong o_O? someone dies everyone hates each other *tadaa*
alright im done thinking now, time to eat

The Poseidon Matter
Soon after the attempted coup by the Lycans to overthrow the Ordo Noctics Eternus (British Vampire Coven) an investigation was launched to find out how they had managed to mobilise so quickly and always hit at the most vulnerable area of the Order. The proposal was brought forward that the Lycans had inside help from within the Order. Such a scandal would have devastating consiquences and was initially rebuked by the council. However, they could not escape the fact that such a betrayal was the only credible explanation for the events that had occured, however no proof could be found. Several months passed.
Recalled from New York, Kensington returned to London, to the seat of the Order to take charge of the investigation, which by now had stalled. After several weeks search he tracked down a source which provided him information which proved that someone within the Ordo Noctis Eternus had indeed provided informatiion to the Lycans, though not directly. The information came in the form of a scrambled email, there were no names in the email, but it hined at a larger plan, something which had tried to use the Lycan attacks as part of it, sadly for the plotters this had failed, but it seemed that such a setback would not deter the plotters. It would seem that further plans would be set in motion.
The email had been titled "Poseidon".
Kensington had traced the IP address that originated the email and found it to come from New York. Kensington and his team returned to the city to continue their inverstigation and ultimately foil the plot to destroy the Ordo Noctis Eternus and discover the conspirators.
Races involved: All
Story Pioneer: Lord-Kensington (others may be brought in to help, anyone is welcome to join in)
This story arch won't dramaticaly change the guild, it's more of a detective story of sorts, more aimed at increasing interaction between members.
Updates to the story will be posted in this thread.

Registration Act of Immortals
The truth is out. Vampires, werewolves, and demons walk amongst us. The government is doing the best they can as well as the Hunters to keep everything under wraps, but the causalities continue to rise. In other states, violence and witch hunts have become more common as fear of an Immortal living amongst them grows. After having a few major cities fall under States of Emergency, the Unite State Government came up with an idea to hopefully ease the minds of every American citizen.
Appearing in front of the Seal of the President, an aged man in a clean neatly pressed suit. His white hair is slicked back and his beady eyes look onto the crowd of reporters and the monitors staring back at him. The whole nation had their eyes on this small man of pale complexion and sharp facial features.
"Good Evening, my fellow Americans. For those who do not know me, I am Director [insert name] of the United States Homeland Security. As I'm sure everyone knows, the creatures we use to think are fantasy are actually real and walking amongst us." The man paused as the group of reporters stirred and mummer amongst themselves, this statement solidifying all thoughts they had on the matter.
"Now I understand the American people are afraid. In fact, we have every right to be afraid of the Unknown world we have just found out about. But we should not cower. We should show no fear. We are Americans!" The old man seemed to shake, but not from fear, but anger. His eyes widen some as his voice carried an authority that could only be matched by the President.
Slowly leaning back from the podium, the Director of Homeland Security seemed to collected himself. "Thus a proposal has been sent and approved by Congress for Amendment 28, Article 1. The Registration of all Immortals and those who hunt them." Once more, the Director paused to all this information to sink in as his tight closed lips curved a bit into a smile.
"Yes. In order to insure the protection of the American citizen as well as create stability in our nation, all shall register and check in with a new Department that is under the supervision of Homeland Security. The Bureau of Human Security shall be responsible for all the manpower, data, enforcement, etc." Raising his hands some to calm the flood of questions, [insert name] shook his head. "I understand this is a lot of information and hard to understand, but we believe this is for the best."
Suddenly one man shoot up and shouted at the Director, his face distorted with hate and anger. "THEY'RE MONSTERS! WE SHOULD BE ERADICATING THEM! NOT REGISTERING THEM! KILL THEM ALL!" He then turned to the cameras that now focused on him as he took out a picture of a young blond girl who couldn't of been past Fifteen years old. "THIS IS MY DAUGHTER! THOSE BLOODSUCKERS TOOK HER AND MY WIFE! THEY DESERVE TO DIE! ALL OF THEM!" Others in the crowd shouted their opinions as well, most agreeing with the loud man. Others quickly jotted down the turning of events on their small notepad.
Suddenly there was a loud "AHEM" and attention went to the Director behind the podium. His eyes were cold and his face solemn as he looked at the man with a gaze that would kill even the strongest of wills.
"I understand your situation. I understand your grief. Thus to insure no more such events don't occur. We hope to monitor these creatures and keep them in check with this registration. Instead of making a witch hunt like the 1800's, we will allow those who hide in the shadows to come to the light and reveal themselves. Those who break our laws or hide from us will be breaking the law. And those who break this law shall be punished to the fullest..." [insert name] paused as he looked at the quiet and calm crowd. "There will be no trial. This here will be black and white. No if's. No buts. It's simple. You either join us and follow our mortal rules, or you will be hunted and you will be destroyed."
With that, the man stepped down and began to walk away from the podium. The room was quiet for a few minutes till the Director of Homeland Security was gone, then all the reporters and journalists went to work on their article or story on this new revolution that was going to happen.
*Didn't put a name for the Director since I didn't know if we had made up one or were using current politics >.>
Races involved: All
Nominated to pioneer: A group of Hunters enlisted to work for BHS (Bureau of Human Security) as well as the Feds involved in NY.
Real resolve?: Maybe? Either those involved join the registration or not. Might even cause a civil war amongst the races with those part of the Act and those against it.
Has it been done? Not that I know of.
Plausability? Sure is.
Mortals? Yes, this will affect mortals.
Affecting the guild? Probably...er...most definitely.

The Poseidon Matter
UPDATE 31/08/09
After tracing the IP address to New York, Kensington and his team eventually located the computer terminal which sent the email. The computer was in a large office complex belonging to Xeno Corp. After some background checks the business appeared to be legitimate.
The team had snuck into the building one night and planted surveilence devices on the computer. They were able to identify the user of the terminal and began watching his every move. However the man didn't appear to have any connection whatsoever to any Lycan or Vampire activities. Rather than waste more time, effort and money on monitoring this man, they hired a private investigator to take over whilst they focussed their efforts on tracking the New York Lycans.
Several days passed without incident, then the P.I. reported that his target had sent another email regarding the Poseidon matter. Kensington and Jack went to question the man. They turned up that evening as the man was leaving his office. He appeared to have no knowledge whatsoever about anything called Poseidon. When Kensington probed the man's mind he could feel that something had been altered.
When they questioned the man further he had become defensive and had struck out at Jack. Angered by this Jack had revealed his true vampiric form, hoping it would scare the man into cooperation. It failed and the man fled.
The insuing chase resulted in the man's death, but not before Kensington had ripped the information he needed from the man's mind. The man had unknowingly been used as a messenger, the message would be planted deep into his subconscious mind by a psychic, he would then relay that message unknowingly via email using his computer terminal at work at a specific time.
It was a shame, Kensington had thought, for the man had never known what he was doing and for all intensive purposes, was innocent. Still he was a step closer to unravelling this Poseidon case. The message had been sent and was no longer present inside the man's mind, Kensington couldn't let the man live because his enemy would know the messenger's mind had been tampered with. So he had killed him.
Jack was sent to meet with the private investigator and retrieve the surveilence material, he met his contact in Las Noches, the documents revealed that an important shipment was coming into the NY docks in a few weeks and that the conspirators greatly valued it's contents. However they had been watched by a Hunter posing as a dancer. After the meeting Jack had followed his contact back to his home to ensure he wasn't followed. He had been.
The dancer appeared at the man's home and attempted to co-erce the man into telling her what he had told Jack. The man had not been able to utter a word as Jack had killed him, using a sniper rifle. The Hunter, knowing she had been discovered, fled the scene; but not before searching through the dead man's computer. She had discovered a file named 'Poseidon' and copied it.
Jack chased the girl though the strets of the city however she had managed to escape. What had she learned? He did not know, but it was enough to make him and Kensington wary, they needed to find this girl and either persuade her to help, or eliminate her.
Little did they know that the Hunters were quite interested in this Poseidon matter and had shifted resources into exploring this further. The file taken from the dead man's apartment made reference to the incoming shipment at the docks, they too would be waiting, when the time came.
The case continues...
((I will post here when the ship is due to arrive))

Brotherhood of Blood Story:Rumors about the immortals being public has reached the world. Several Covens and secret Vampiric sects are outraged by this and are even more angered at the reaction (or lack of) from the Coven where the incident occurred. Though across the vampiric world, many are divided in the issue as to handle the problem, a handful of vampires have taken it upon themselves to fix it by showing how a true vampire should handle it: through blood.
Lead by an overzealous vampire, this group has traveled from all over the world to land at the source of issue, New York. There, they stick to the shadows and remain incognito about their purpose to everyone, including the Coven of New York. But while in the darkness, large amount of innocent humans, newly turned vampires, lone wolf Lycans, and single party hunters are taken, drained of blood, and left brutally in the open as a sign of change. Change is happening. Will all the races band together to find the culprits and stop them? Or will this new Brotherhood of Blood continue to unleash carnage on an already twisted and deadly city? Some things to consider: Races involved: All Nominate people: Me as well as a few volunteers to join me as the enemy. All others may join to stop us. Will there be a real resolve? If they can kill the leader and the group, yeah. Has it been done? Not sure. Not too familiar with the history of DNY. Is it plausable: Why not? I'm sure there are a few old school vampires who are pissed with how things are being run in the biggest city they inhabit. Does it affect the mortals? Of course. It will add fear to their already dreaded thoughts about monsters and vampires. Might even cause more discrimination amongst groups on how they see each other, seeing how no one is sure who's doing it, but assume they're vampires. How is it going to affect the guild in general? Either unites everyone for a brief moment in which we all get "buddy buddy" and look back at it as a laugh or will cause a nasty stigmata on vampires that will never leave. Up to the players really.

I like the government recognition idea, but then there would have to be a for and against, not a Vampires Vs. Tainted Vs. Lycans thing.
