"Don't worry. I was the same way before I got Malachi," Rabid said as she sensed a strange tension in the air and pulled her head up from the table. She turned to Chao and wiped an accidental crocodile tear off her cheek.
"No drums," she said firmly, "No percussion. No flutes. Nothing shrill." She sighed and shook her head. Pots and pans and spoons and ladels...all must die...
Nisha, feeling ignored and hungry, quickly made her way out the door.
Malachi saw the butterfly out of the corner of his eye and waved, not quite sure if she could see him or not. He then turned back to Reid and smiled sweetly, nodding. He began to make his way aimlessly across the room, hoping that the slightly larger mishap would take the lead.

"I didn't even know the Mishaps exsisted," Chao added, scratching at a cheek. She'd just accidently wandered into the shop because it'd looked warm after all.
"Ughhhh, I've heard some kids learning to play woodwinds before," she shuddered, "it sounds like something's dying. But what should we do? Either we encourage them or hope it just goes away."
Reid crawled after Malachi quickly, looking around for anything interesting. After a few moments he sighted something that looked as if it'd been shoved under the table to stay out of the way, but for the Mishaps it would be in easy reach.
Curious he took the lead until they reached the odd looking object and crawled around it, pushing at it from behind until it slid into a the open, rolling over onto its side in front of Malachi.
The item in question was a recently used pan and three metal ladels, still coaked with bits of cookie batter. Not that Reid understood that, but he lit up just the same. It smelled good, like the candies had, and there were things to crunch together, even if it wasn't the same. He pushed a ladel towards Malachi and took one of the others in his own hands.

Felix smiled and felt a little better after the cold entrance.
"Well thanks guys i feel alot better now. Uhm do you guys want some Apple Cider? I have a pitcher in my purse here. Or maybe some sandwiches?" Felix lifted up a bag that looked huge for a purse. It looked more like a flexible picnic basket to most people. Felix found it conveniant to have what she needed for a days work in her purse. She paused and waitied for an answer
((lol sorry i know its kind of random, something that i am famous for..heh ))

"Uh...no thanks," Rabid cocked an eyebrow and turned toward Chao, smiling, "We should encourage them. I mean, really, video games or music?" She made a weighing motion with her hands and clicked her tongue.
Malachi grabbed the ladel put before him and inspected it. Interesting....shiny...
OOPS!
He dropped the ladel to the ground. it made a strange clanging sound as it hit the pan. He giggled maniacally and picked up the ladel, beginning to bang the pan with it joyously...
Rabid screamed bloody murder and her head whipped toward the boys. It was no cheesy "oh my gosh!" yell. Oh, no, it was a true-to-God horror-movie-slasher "my-baby-was-just-chopped-to-bits-and-some-psycho-is-chasing-me-around-with-my-husband's-severed-head-and-a-chainsaw" kind of shriek.

"Apple cider would be great," Chao said with a small nod of thanks before eyeing Rabid again, "five gold says they do both just to spite us..." she said with a slight grin before nodding finally, "but yes. Once they actually figure out how to carry a tune it'll be worth-"
Reid grinned and brought his own ladel crashing down onto the pan, following his friends lead and giggled gleefully as the sounds reverberated about them.
Chao didn't make a sound, instead she instictively clapped her hands over her ears, grimacing at Rabid's horror-movie-banshee-competition shreik and the clashes penatrated the thin covers.

Felix nodded and smiled, taking out a pitcher of apple cider. She took out a glass and poured some in . She handed her the cup "Here you go ma'am". She put the pitcher away and silently put her purse back under the table. There was nothing else for her to do so she quietly listened.

"MALACHI PHINEAS DEVREAUX!" Rabid screamed, using his mismatched full name for the first time ever. That was the problem with naming your kid after two different people...
Malachi's ears floded back at Mummy's shriek, and his eyes got really wide. He had never been yelled at before. Tears started welling up in his eyes and his lower lip trembled. He gave the pan a final vengeful whack and turned his back to Mummy, sniffling.
"Great. Now I feel like crap," Rabid cringed against the clang and then, realizing what she'd done, dropped her head to the table and sighed.

Reid immediately dropped his ladel as Rabid screamed, two arms coming up to clasp against his ears in a blind attempt to block it out.
He lowered them after he was sure she was done and sniffled lowly, lower lip trembling, even though the shout hadn't been directed at him. Scooting away from the pan he moved over towards Malachi and gave him a small, sympathetic hug. He hated the harsh tone too.
Chao sighed, nodding to Felix again and placing her cup down beside her and quietly gave Rabid a slight hug, "come'on hun," she said quietly. All they could do now was attempt some damage control of a sort.

Malachi, trying his best to hold back tears, hugged Reid back. He refused to let go, though, and clung to his friend for dear life.
"Mmmmhm," Rabid agreed and stood. Amazing, how a shouted name could tip two alike little kids off. Alike...they were alike, weren't they?
She approached the mishap-clinging and kneeled down to their height.
"I'm sorry, hun," she tried to smile, "I didn't mean to be loud."

Reid didn't pull away and rubbed at his friend's back, emerald eyes dark and glaring as Rabid came closer, glow darkening. He relaxed a tiny bit when she didn't yell and his own Mu hopped off the table and came closer.
Chao followed Rabid over, kneeling besides her friend, smiling easily though she decided to stay out of the conversation for the time being.

Malachi sniffed and peered up at Mummy with big, watery puppy-dog eyes.
"I'm sorry, guys. Really," she thought for a moment, "How can I make it up to you? You can hit me if you like..."
She held out her arm, making it an easy target.
Malachi sniffed once more before swatting at Mummy's arm with one hand. There. That'd show her.
If not, it still made him feel a bit better.

Reid smiled and giggled very quietly at the face Malachi had made after he's thwacked his mother and gave his friend a small pat before scooting over so that they were sitting side by side.
He eyed Rabid arm but didn't move to hit it. She didn't sound like she was going to start yelling again at either of them, and Ike already hit and seemed to feel better for it, which made him feel better. So really, his thwack wasn't needeed.
Chao let out a slight sigh and flopped back onto her butt, ruffling Reid's then Ike's hair fondly, then grinning lightly and giving Rabid's ruffle for good measure.
"Feel better?" she asked, looking to the Mishaps curiously.
