I recently bought a PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW copy of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants for 50 cents, and the first two No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency for 50 cents each, which weren't in as great condition. I've bought a couple decent books from my library where they put stuff to sell. I've never really gotten anything super. Most of my books are just acquired here and there. x3

I absolutely adore church garage sales. If you know a church ever having a garage sale, you should go. Some churches aren't that great, but I know two churches in my area who have AWESOME garage sales.

I have stolen half the books from my school's Sci-Fi/ Fantasy section of the library...I'm the only one who reads them. My best purchase ever was my copy of Stranger in a Strange Land

I was at the last day of a community book sale a few months ago and they were trying to sell everything they could and were charging one $2 for a Walmart bag of books. And not little chapter books, I mean huge college textbooks that ordinally sold for like $50. I spent $6 on probably two or threehundred dollars worth of books in one day eek

And over the winter I bought Phantom by Susan Kay for $12. Since it was out of print and in high demand online stores and sellers had it anywhere from $50 to $150.

I love that Phantom! I've been searching for it ever since I discovered it at my school library.

As for the best deal I've ever had, I bought my favorite book A Canticle For Leibowitz for 25 cents at the College Library used book sale.

I also got a bunch of philosophy books on sale at borders.
