The silence was fitting since Fauna had mistakenly understood Feng's intentions. Sadly she'd never know that! So she only smiled as she continued to watch ahead, and she'd peek at Juno now and then and notice her companion deep in thought. Fauna could guess that she was probably musing over the little things like where they would live, what they would eat... everything that mattered. Ah well, that was Juno's specialty afterall.
When he did finally answer her question, she shot him a glance and narrowed her gaze a bit. "Well, I'm not saying its a necessary, BUT. Do you want them some day?" A usual laugh escaped her mouth and she shook her head lightly. "I understand your family is big but, we all have wants and desires, you know?" And sadly she wasn't learning too much about Feng's. Fauna was slowly learning how others took to information, and that not everyone saw life as openly as she did. It was a good lesson to learn, since she needed to know what not to ask, and what to ask in any situation.
"Have any of your siblings had children yet? That'd be pretty cool to witness as a brother!" Well, to her at least. "Though, I'd wonder if your siblings would put baby-sitting duty on your back." She'd do that kind of duty any day! But like always, she wasn't used to those kinds of situations. So she was hardly the expert on any family matters! "I've had some experience with children and they really are adorable!"

"I wouldn't be adverse to the idea, how about that?" Fenghuang smiled wrily as the mare persisted. She was an idealist to the core and seemed to have forgotten that his Princess was not one who was inclined towards him. He did have a big family, he loved them all dearly, but he was of the firm belief that no child should be raised in an unstable home and to sire children it would require as much. He was not the disloyal sort when it came to that sort of thing and he would sooner lot lie to his children by declaring he loved and worshipped another mare when she was nothing more than company. He'd seen that happen before and had witnessed the consequences of it for himself.
Broken families were not something he aimed for.
"Two of my brothers have sired children," he replied smoothly to her next question and smiled fondly, "Three daughters, three sons and I happen to have kept an eye on a few of them before," he shrugged loosely at this. He'd always been fond of kids, they were more laid back and enjoyed their games. He could teach them any number of things (both good and bad) and they would willingly accept it. They were easily awestricken but that was all part of the fun. "Babysitting is no big deal, so long as you are reasonable and allow them to play without your intervention to a degree."
"As for my eldest brother, last I heard of him... He was in the process of finalising an arranged mating, no doubt I should expect more kids to watch soon," he chuckled at this. The very thought of his eldest brother with children was a tad comical. Would they be stoic like him, or more sociable like the mother?
It was something to consider as the stallion drifted further from the labyrinth of gorges and eventually pressed his hooves onto softer, less icy soil. A glance down to his hooves and sure enough, he had crossed from the borders of the north into the more sheltered valley of the Kawani.
"Welcome to the Kawani Lands, Miss Fauna..."

Fauna was satisfied when he did answer and she allowed for the subject to drop after that. Well good. Hopefully Feng would be a dad one day, only because he'd be an incredibly good one! When he also answered her other questions, she wiggled with excitement and knew she would venture out for some baby sitting duty sometime. With all of the foals running around it wouldn't have been very problematic to search for some. "You really have done everything!" she finally added, while shuffling her hooves as she walked. And hey, the best in the world deserved that honor.
"Well, I'll just say this, too. I am very glad that so many in you're family have been blessed. I hope the same blessings follow you as you return to your homeland." She gave a most solemn head-bow and drifted her eyes forward after that. She liked to believe such hope and blessings were possible, and maybe every now and then she'd wish for happiness to follow Feng wherever he went. It was the least she could do for him helping her out so much!
Her thought-process changed quickly when she heard Feng's words towards their surroundings. They... they had made it?! "Oh my gosh.. I can't believe I'm here." After everything she had been through, man, even she wondered if getting teary eyed was a bit too much! "I could just jump with joy!" But no no, that would be a bit too much. She gleamed and watched Juno, who was instantly relieved as well. "Well, thank you Mr. Feng. I couldn't have made it here without your help." But for now, there were other things to consider. She knew Feng had his own plans to attend to, and she knew it was time she allow him to continue on with his journey.
Fauna then halted herself and she watched as Juno even stared in confusion. She stopped herself completely but found it as a necessary. "Hey, Feng." she finally said, while looking at him sternly. "Good luck, ok? And thank you SO much again. But its time I let you go do what you need to do." There was no way she was coming in between his plans. She had already disrupted them enough, and now she could allow him to finish what he needed to. "I'll never forget your kindness!" Or any part of their journey, for that matter. But for now, she needed to!

She looked rather emotional at his introduction to his home, it had been a brief one but apparently her travels had worn her out somewhat. The relief was evident in her eyes as she realised she had finally reached her destination and he was fairly certain that she would sleep well tonight. At least he could be satisfied in the knowledge that she would find plenty of food to sustain her throughout her travels. She wouldn't go hungry and so long as she did avoid the more hostile areas she would stay safe from any immediate threats too. In the mean time he could only hope that she encountered a number of individuals who might protect her if it became absolutely necessary.
"You're most welcome," he murmured gently, a small smile on his lips as she began to drift off. He hadn't anticipated that she would turn round though and wish him luck. She looked so serious as she said it too, given her previous behaviour it would've been comical if it hadn't been for the subjects she spoke of. He'd certainly need all the luck he could get (if he was honest), to say he was plunging himself into the depths of a living hell was an understatement.
"Thank you for the luck, Miss Fauna," he murmured agreeably and gave a bow of his head. He wouldn't permit himself ample rest until he had returned to his specified location, meaning that unlike her he would continue to walk for the next few days. Still, gentle thoughts and consideration could steel anyone on and as a consequence he could to nothing more than remain grateful for her words. "Stay safe!" He called after her and for a brief while merely watched her go, he'd take a short cut to another location in a little while.
...Better to make sure she wasn't heading straight for a danger zone before setting off again, nyah?
