Thali couldn't help smiling. "I've always wondered what it would be like if they could talk. I wonder what they would say? What they could tell us? I wonder what they think about us.. It would be fascinating, though, you're right. It would be creepy."
She paused in thought. "It'd make a pretty good story, though.." She said. "Do you write at all?" She asked, curious.

"Writing? God, no. I barely passed English in school, but I do like to read every now and then. I'm more of a historical novel buff than anything else, non-fictions work too, but I've never wanted to write anything on my own. How about you?"
Talking with this woman was kind of becoming...fun.

"I've never had a proper english class," Thali shrugged. "Unless you include the insane college professor I had a while back.." She paused. She didn't mention how long ago that had been, that would have been awkward. "As for reading, I like older books. Ones rarely found in Barton. Where I used to live, they had an ancient library and.. well, I suppose that inspired me." "I write fantasy, mostly. For kids. Sometimes I think having writers for parents must be hard." She paused, to look at her toddler. "He's the most creative toddler I've ever come in contact with. I've been trying to get him interested in other things.. I think he's determined to become a Prince-- or a wizard."

"It's good to dream then. I used to want to become a fish for about two years of my life, until my brothers explained that it was impossible. That dream went down the drain quickly."
Rit chuckled at the memories of her trying to learn to breathe underwater...only to half-drown every since time. It shouldn't have been as funny to her as it was, since it hurt and she often got sick from it, but her brothers being there and being forced into a similar situation was what made it all worth while.
"I'd like to read one of your books sometime, if you don't mind telling me a title. Even though I'm set on one genre, it's good to expand."

Thali nodded in agreement. "We're not so cruel as to ruin dreams," She said. "Children are supposed to have vivid imaginations." She paused, and smiled. "I remember when I was convinced that I could fly. Like a fairy, or a bird. I fell out of a tree-- and probably would have broken an arm if a friend of mine hadn't been there to catch me."
She nodded again, "Look up Pirates of the Bermuda." She said, "I wrote it for Josh as an explaination of why people go missing there. It's a children's story. So far it's the only one I've managed to get published."

"Ah, sounds like you either had a friend with really good timing, or one with really bad. Either way, life must have been interesting."
Rit slowly rose to her feet after a moment, taking care to dust the back of her pants off. She'd been here too long, probably so long that the garage was backed up and full of horror waiting for her, but it seemed worth it at the time.
"I hate to split, but I need to be getting back. I'm sure my family is crumbling without my, but I'll make sure to look up that book. Hopefully I'll see you again as well?"
She didn't really wait for a response, instead she gave a polite bow of her head and started off towards her home. Rit was never one for good-byes.
