Star gave her a smile and whispered, "I am glad, because I would miss you too. You mean too much to me too quickly and it is hard to understand it all but I am glad that there is at least some hope." he said and he went back to grab the book where he plopped down on the ground again. "Shall we?" he asked, knowing that both of them needed a break from the conversation which had taken an emotional turn.

She nodded, but grabbed the book from him when he looked away. "My turn," she said. She curled up beside him so that he could see the book too, if he wanted to. 'I hope he doesn't mind me sitting so close to him,' she thought to herself briefly, and then she began to read the book out loud-her tone reflecting the words on the page well. She continued to read on, her voice smooth and expressive, until the sun began to set in the distance.

Star smiled and lay his head on her shoulder, to show that he liked her close proximity. He listened as her voice emphasized the meanings of the words she spoke and she got into the book. He loved how she could become so wrapped up in a book that her surroundings disappeared. Another chapter was finished and he stood, beginning to pack up. "I think it is time to go, as it is going to be dark out soon." he explained, finishing up with the packing of the food and water.

She stood, and nodded. She put the book inside the picnic basket, and asked, "Would you like me to carry the basket? You carried it on the way here." She paused, waiting for his answer. As she did, she went over and stood next to him, so that if he did say yes, she could take it from him easily. She did not understand why she felt so happy around him, although her nerves were returning now that she was not lost in the book. She forced herself to take a deep breath so that her nerves would not be quite as noticable.

Star shook his head no. "Now what kind of gentleman would I be if I had you carry the basket all the way back?" he asked with a chuckle and grabbed the basket in his teeth. He motioned her forward with her head and set a slow pace back towards the mansion where they now both resided. He was glad she seemed to like him though he wish she was less nervous around him, despite how cute it was. He wanted her to be comfortable talking to him.

"Well, thank you for carrying it then." She walked beside him, looking over at him fairly often. She blushed once she realized that she was doing so, but she continued to do so anyway. She was determined to overcome her nerves, she did not want to let them get in the way of her budding friendship-and hopefully more- with Star. She smiled over at him as soon as she made that resolution within herself, and rubbed her head against him lightly before continuing to walk forward.

Star was happy that Hon was beginning to show him her feelings and hoped that she continued to do so. Maybe one day soon he would work up the courage and ask her to be his mate. But he wanted to give it time and make sure she did not change her mind suddenly and reject him. He wanted to give her time to be sure of her feelings and not regret the decision later on in their relationship. He smiled and rubbed her head back, licking her fur. They were at the mansion already and he bowed to her as he turned and headed off to the kitchen to return the basket.

Hon watched him as he walked away from her. She simply stood there for a few minutes, almost unable to believe that Star seemed to be interested in her too. She shook her head slightly to clear it, and then followed him to the kitchen, wondering if she should ask him to join her again the next day, or at the very least sometime soon. "Star," she said, as she entered the room, "will you join me again sometime soon? I would really like it" she said, blushing as she did, but looking him straight in the eye.

Star had just finished putting away the food and he turned to face her with a smile. He bowed down to her, as he said, "I would bring me no greater pleasure than to spend more time with one as lovely as you." he said, hoping to bring another of her adorable blushes on. He was calm and gentlemanly but it did not stop his curiousity and desire to see her blush. "Perhaps, we can take a break from reading and go for a swim tomorrow as I have heard it will be quite warm. Does that sound like a plan?"

She turned red again, her blush once again giving her away because she was not used to receiving compliments in any sense. "I'd like that, I have not went for a swim in the longest time. Is there a particular place you like to swim at?" she asked, smiling as she did. She still could not believe someone, especially someone as great as Star, would want to spend time with her, but she was not going to complain. Star made her happy, although she was not really sure way he had such a strong effect on her. After all, they had only met a few days before.

Star smile. "I was exploring about a week ago and found this lovely pond. If you would like to check it out and go for a nice, refreshing swim, then allow me to show you where it is at tomorrow and we can make a date out of it. Does that sound okay to you?" Star asked though he was confident in her answer as he watched her blush. He was able to read her like the books she loved, but even then, he was surprised from time to time.

"That sounds wonderful, actually." she said, smiling as she did. "Well, meet you out front tomorrow, then?" she asked, yawning as she did. She was beginning to get very tired and looked like she would fall asleep any moment. She looked at him, her smile seeming to light up her features even as her fatigue made her eyes glitter a little. She stretched, pushing all her weight onto her front paws, waking herself up as she waited for his answer.

Star smiled. "I will meet you there after a quick breakfast." He bowed again. "Perhaps you should get some sleep. You look tired and tomorrow will be a long but fun day. And I am sure you will want to be well-rested." He waited for her to go and then followed after her, heading to his own room where he ate something quickly and went to bed, excited about the prospect of seeing Hon again tomorrow.

Hon returned to her room, still smiling as she thought about her day. She could not help but to be extremely happy as she thought about the day ahead of her. She drifted off to sleep, her face comfortable and calm as she rested. When she woke up, she went down to the kitchen to eat quickly and then went outside to wait for Star, smiling as she did. She looked around to see if he was there yet.

Star had woken up extremely early and had eaten breakfast and got help packing a lunch before she had woken up. He tossed the book back into the basket, just in case the swimming did not work out and went out to wait for his lovely companion. He smiled when about twenty minutes later, she arrived and finally spotted him and headed his way. "Shall we?" he asked as he picked the basket up in his mouth and headed off in the direction of the pond.
